From New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, comes the second book in the new Dark Romance Series, Goddess Isles.
“There was a monster once. A monster who bought me, controlled me, and took away my freedom.
There was a man once. A man who dealt in myth and secrets, hiding behind his mask, making me hunger and wish to know the truth.”
Eleanor Grace belongs to the man and the monster, hating … to the man and the monster, hating them both but unable to deny that something links them. Something she doesn’t want to feel, something that traps her as surely as the sea surrounding the island where she serves.
Sully Sinclair belongs to his past and the black and white script his life has become. He views his goddesses as commodities—possessions to be treated kindly but firmly. The only problem is…Eleanor is different.
She’s jinxed him.
Cursed him.
Awakened him.
She’s a goddess with the power to ruin him.
Second book in a series. 76,000 words, continue with Third a Kiss

This story will pull you into a whirlpool of pleasure and carnality! With an irresistible plot, sex scenes to die for and and an erotic level that will have you overheating in the span of a moment, Twice a Wish is guaranteed to hit your libido with a fervor unlike any other. I honestly didn’t think that Q Mercer could be replaced, but step aside for Sullivan Sinclair….. he will bring your sexual appetite to its knees!
Eleanor attempts to escape her picturesque prison, and it’s in this effort that she realizes just the type of man Sully is, and his ability to destroy her. His predatory, animalistic qualities are not the only traits that make up this man, somewhere in that godlike body is a heart that beats, specifically for the vulnerable species. The audacity that Sully exhibits and what he does next to expel Eleanor from his proximity and thoughts has you questioning if he has a heart at all.

Deeply Passionate! Scary Seductive! Utterly Addictive!
Twice A Wish is book 2 in the new Goddess Isles series by Pepper Winters and I do not know how this author does it but once again I was left with a totally vicious book hangover. There are 5 books in this series, yes FIVE and if this is how good book #2 is then I cannot imagine how much of a puddle of goo I am going to be by the end of this series.
Book #1 left me totally obsessed with these new characters, so it was only natural that I devoured book #2 as quickly as I could. That is how addictive this series is, you become a total sucker for Sully and Eleanor’s story that you almost suffer withdrawals and are then left to count the number of days until the next book will come out.
As a reader if found it liberating to be able to escape into this fantasy world in which Sully and his Goddess live. Removed from “normal” society. Living extravagantly, but also simply. With each page I fell deeper and harder for our reluctant hero. Don’t get me wrong there were still times when I would have loved to throttle him but I now have a greater understanding of the man that is Sully Sinclair and oh boy that man is deep and complex just the way I like my book heroes. He also has brooding down to an art form lol!
This book just had so much more to give. I didn’t think it was possible to fall deeper than I already had. Be prepared for more angst, passion, heartache and drama. The plot thickens and I was like “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?”. I got so worked up that my heart was racing like a rabbit.
This book will totally blow you away! Do not be afraid to get lost on Sully’s Goddess Isles xox
Pepper Winters has the ability to amaze me with every single book. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
Twice a Wish was just WOW, AMAZING and more!! I can’t even begin to describe how extraordinary and addictive this book was!!! I do not want to give away anything… but know that P.W has left me wanting more. I can’t cope with the sexual tension; I can’t cope with the eroticism … but most importantly I CANNOT COPE WITH THE TWIST AND THE CLIFFHANGER!!!!! I can’t wait to get hold of Third a Kiss.
I can’t even form comprehensive thoughts right now- Go and grab it.
This series is captivating. The second installment in this series picks up right where you left off in Once Upon a Myth. I feel as conflicted as Eleanor aka Jinx does when it comes to Sully. In this book you get a bit more insight into Sulky and Eleanor. After enduring her first night in Euphoria we find her resolve although wavered is still in place. Her determination to overcome her situation finds me routing for her all the way.
The inner turmoil of Sully is evident but there seems to be more to it than just the spell he finds himself under with his acquisition of Jinx. I am truly enjoying the layers that are being slowly revealed.
This is true Pepper Winters style, leading you down the path all mesmerized by her words and invested in the story. The intricate push and pull and twists and turns that will keep you up all night in a reading frenzy. I cannot wait to see where she takes us in the next installment..
TWICE A WISH – the continuation of the Goddess Isles series.
And I am speechless. Utterly blown away by the brilliant Pepper Winters. Again. She does it every. Single. Time. Her writing style rivals poetry, her genius and vivid world-building is unparalleled.
I felt everything the characters were feeling, saw everything they were seeing – including the sand below their feet. It’s vivid and colorful. It feels real, like you’re part of their world – and not ours which slowly begins to look like a dystopian novel itself … Honestly, reading a Pepper Winters book and immersing yourself in her world is exactly what I needed during these trying times. It’s balm to my soul.
…which was left fairly rattled with that cliffhanger in book one! In this one our two protagonists continue to struggle – with both one another and themselves for different reasons, cut off from the world on Sullivan’s island. Sullivan who continues to be shrouded in mystery and darkness, whose secrets I can’t wait to be unraveled. And Eleanor, his goddess, who continues to fight to break down and submit…
God, this book was a scorcher! The chemistry between Eleanor and Sully is absolutely insane – I get goosebumps merely thinking about it. And I am not even necessarily talking about the sex scenes here either. Ms. Winters especially majorly talented when it comes to writing a kissing scene. I remember there one being in the Master of Trickery duet that rocked my socks off already, but this one … bloody hell! I cannot even find words. I tell you that much: It’s better than so many sex scenes I’ve read!
There’s one strong and dark, possibly even slightly unhealthy bond building between those two broken and lost souls for sure and I cannot wait to find out where their journey will take them, to get to know everything there is to know about them, but especially about the enigma that is Sullivan. God, I have such a thing for Ms. Winters’ kind of heroes…!!
A must read for everyone who loves the dark side of romance!
Book three cannot be here soon enough!!

Twice a Wish was CRAZY good. My emotions were all-over the place while reading it. Sully Sinclair is one minute the devil and the next a god. He runs hot and cold with his feeling for Eleanor, she never knows which Sully she is going to get. Eleanor Grace is a true goddess in her strength and persistence. Twice a Wish delves deeper into Sully’s life when he was younger, granting us a glimpse into the what made him the man he is today. Pepper continues to amaze me with her talent and ability to weave such intricate and enticing stories that makes putting her books down almost impossible.
Twice a Wish is book 2 of 5 in the Goddess Isles series. These are not stand-alone books.
I didn’t think any series of books would compare to Pepper Winter’s Monsters in the Dark series, but the Goddess Isles is becoming as compelling and emotional. There were several times that I had tears in my eyes and times I held my breath waiting to find out what Sully would do and willing him to admit his feelings for Eleanor and then that ending took my breath away.
Twice A Wish by Pepper Winters is book 2 in the Goddess Isles series. Pepper has created a world surrounded by myth, fantasy, and illusion. She has twisted our minds around a story so thought-provoking that we can’t decipher the difference between illusion and reality, fantasy and actuality, myth and fact.
This story has me more mesmerized with each passing chapter. This is a story that you can’t put down. The characters are filled with a desire to be loved, a desire to trust what is before them, a desire to make sense out of the beautiful illusion of euphoria. Everything that happens in euphoria has my senses on overdrive. Author Pepper Winters is definitely playing without minds, making us want and hope for one thing but teasing us with what is actually happening. She is a master at this game.
The Goddess Isles series is like none other I have ever read. The audio version has me enveloped in this world with the sultry and smooth voice of Scott Rider who portrays Sully to a T. The emotion that is ripped from Sully meets your ears and sends your heart on a rampage, sends your pulse skyrocketing.
At this point in the story, Pepper has me hooked, has me hoping that I see through the illusion, see the truth in the beautiful paradise, see a future for Eleanor and Sully, together. Her words say one thing yet hint and tease at something more. Every chapter leaves me wondering what was real; what was the illusion.
Sully has so many secrets, so many demons that haunt him. Try as he might to protect Eleanor and keep her safe, he is fighting a losing battle. Her strength, her wisdom, her compassion and empathy, are all weapons she uses to get inside his mind. Does she have any idea what she is in for? Can she break through the hardened heart that has taken over Sully? Does she really want to? Does she really crave his love, desire him above all others, or is it also an illusion?
Twice a Wish has left me on another precipice just waiting to tip over the edge. Eleanor has done the unthinkable! Will using Sully’s own inventions against him ruin her, ruin him? Using his denied desire against him in a last-ditch attempt to make him see what is right before his eyes. Is she strong enough to see Sully through the torment? Will her love be strong enough to help him weather the storm? What will happen next? We will have to wait and see in Third A Kiss.
When I ended „Once a Myth” I needed more Pepper Winters. Fortunately the second book from „Goddess Isles” series was on my Kindle and I jump to the continuation of Eleanore’s and Sully’s story.
Again.
I am obsessed!
The life on the island are pretty good, but Eleanore needs to do her job. She was bought by Sully in a one goal – to give a pleasure. So between conversations with other goddesses and thinking how to leave the island, she mets the first man in her new life.
But day by day everything changed.
She has a big impact on Sully’s heart.
Will she finally break him?
Will she finally knows the truth about him?
„Twice a Wish” is more hotter than „Once a Myth”. Pepper Winters gives us a really good tension in this book. Lust between Sully and Eleanora smashed me, when I was reading this story.
And the first kiss scene? OMG. I don’t need more sex scene. I only need the kiss scene like in this book. It is everything!
Again Sully had my heart. In this book his real nature is showed. His real thoughts, his childhood, his plans. We can see his heart like on the hand.
Eleanore is more stronger in „Twice a Wish” that in previous book. Is any chance that she will be more stronger in the next book? Because in the end of this series she will be like a queen. Strong, brave and unyielding queen.
Why we must wait two months for the third book? Why we must suffer so much time?
„Twice a Wish” is a perfect continuation of „Once a Myth”. This plot is a one big suprise and this ending? What’s next Miss Winters? I must to know it now!
In the end you must read this book. Of course start with „Once a Myth” this adventure, but YOU MUST READ GODDESS ISLES series.
So since I finished the first book I have been impatiently (lol) waiting for this book!!! And now I’m waiting for the next one!!! I absolutely love how Pepper is taking this story and cannot wait to see where else she goes. Sully and Eleanor just keep pulling me in. And getting to know them better is just awesome. Although sometimes I want to smack both of them I know that I can’t. This series will probably be one of my absolute favorite dark reads of ever. You need to one-click these 2 books asap!!! I highly recommend it!!! -By Tina
Finally! I can recover from the cliffy from Once A Myth…and embark on the journey that Twice A Wish takes us on. And what a journey it is!
Ms. Winters continues the story of Eleanor (Jinx) and Sully in her own fashion…giving us highs, lows, moments of despair only to follow them with moments of amazed wonder.
Eleanor makes a new friend and learns more of Sully’s well hidden secrets, leaving her confused and intrigued. Sully, consumed by his interest in Eleanor, is torn on what to do with her. This leads us to a surprise ending for this book and waiting in suspense for the next book in the series.
High five!
Twice a Wish was just as spellbinding as Once a Myth!
As the plot gets a little more darker the steam factor hots up to an whole new level between Eleanor and Sully, it’s now hanging on the edge of an inferno. The intensity between them is so mystifying but make no mistake, you will not be able to take your eyes off the pages of this book.
This whole series has such a great plot with twists and turns that you would never imagine, all while living in such an exotic paradise your really trapped in your own personal hell, while your falling in love with your captor. He only cares about animals but not humans that is until Eleanor starts to break through his barriers. Both feel torment at feeling something for each other while they both know that they shouldn’t.
This is some of Pepper Winters best writing ever, the story is captivating as it is emotional. I am loving where the storyline is going and really cant wait for the next book to see what happens to them next.
This author is the Mistress of Delayed Gratification haha.
Not only does the story suck you in deeper with each book it also adds a list of questions to the questions you had from the previous one.
Though we did get a few things answered and explained from book 1. Like the utter genius of creating Euphoria.
If Eleanor & Sully spent too long in the sun the chemistry between them would have them self combusting. The intensity of their feelings for each other is out of this world.
This series had me hooked from the first word of book 1. And I am so glad this wickedly talented author is releasing these books so close together because the wait is killing me already. Deep calming breaths everyone, not long til we have more questions with no answers YET. Ms Winters you are a true writing legend.
Twice A Wish, a suspenseful, edgy read that grips you and doesn’t let go until you have turned the last page. A completely unputdownable second installment, that picks up right where Once A Myth left off.
From the very beginning this series grips hold of you and once it does it will not let you go. The storyline is so dark, so twisted, and deliciously devious. Just brilliant!!
A nail-biting dark romance that got me hooked right from the start, and screaming for more in that heart-stopping cliffhanger. I was completely satisfied and emerged in this phenomenal world in which the author has put together an amazing dynamic plot structure, characters, suspense, emotion, and the love/hate relationship that makes of this story such a mind-blowing experience.
I won’t give spoilers, but all I can tell you is that I loved every word, and I’m already anxious for the next one. If you haven’t, you need to start this fabulous series today!!
If I could give this book/series more than 5 stars I would and it is only the second book.
One of the things that I love about books is their ability to transpose me to a different time and place and their ability to make me feel a maelstrom of emotions. Sometimes they make me cry, sometimes they offer me hope, and sometimes they show me that not everything is black and white. In the case of this book (and the first), they show all of the above and then some.
This author takes all of that and more and transcends time and place. Her characters are visceral. They are dynamic. They are something ugly juxtaposed with beautiful, light versus dark, and complex versus simple. In a nutshell, they are otherworldly. She creates worlds that even amidst the darkness and sensitive subject matter that is the foundation for her stories it leaves me both uncomfortable and entranced.
In this book, it is all that and more. This book picked up right where the other left off, which was a WHOPPER of a cliffhanger. Knowing this was a book being released every month, I dived in knowing that this would sting when she would leave me hanging. It did and more. I thought my guess had been correct in what I thought had happened. However, I am not sure anymore. There are things that make it seem one way and then there are others that lead me to believe another thing. What sorcery is this that the author can do this? Whatever it is I am a willing participant because even though not having the answers that I want I will still subject myself to the pain because it is worth it to be enmeshed in this author’s words, characters, and worlds.
The push and pull in these characters is like nothing I have ever read before. In this book, I had a better understanding of Sully. I still think his career choice and who is is and how he came to know Elanor is repugnant but in this book getting to see why he is the way he is and why he holds so little regard to humans was an integral piece of the puzzle. I look forward to seeing more layers of the story unfolding to see how this man balances they dichotomy of a savior and a captor. I knew in the first book that Elanor was a force to be reckoned with but, sweet holy titfire, she blew me away with this one. There was one particular scene where she spoke about something which had previously been unable to have a voice for decades, towards the end of the book, that completely unraveled me. Her compassion that she understood that and felt empathy. GAME CHANGER.
These characters both offer something to each other and to me the reader. They show that there is beauty in pain and that not everything is what appears on the outside. This is not a Stockholm syndrome type of connection. This is a connection of souls coming together as if they were predestined. It is kismet and gives me reasons to keep searching for the mellifluous sublime. No one can do what this author does and is often the reason that she is the first person mentioned when someone is looking for a dark romance book.
I did have a few concerns over the end because of the timeline of certain contracts wouldn’t be the same. That isn’t giving a spoiler just something that I stood out to me in regards to the math of this entire scenario. That being said, This book ends on another WHOPPER of a cliffhanger. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen because holy jumping Hannah… April 24th seems so far away. I cannot recommend this series or author enough.
Ok! Just when i thought book one floored me – this one takes the cake!!!! Talk about raw intense passion! You CANNOT stop reading this jaw dropping book!!! Hurry and read this series!
Part of me wanted to speed through this story because I had to know what the story entailed. But then another part of me wanted to slowly savour each word. So I compromised and read sections at a time to enjoy the way the story wraps around me and pulls me into Sully’s paradise.
Just like Eleanor, this story has me questioning everything. Was it him? Wasn’t it? Does he care? Doesn’t he? Reality and fantasy have blurred and I’m not quite sure what to believe. It’s like the concept of scotoma: the mind see what it chooses to see. And Sully alludes to this when speaking with Eleanor. But she is still fierce and fiery and I love her tenacity.
Now Sully… who is he really? He is full of contradictions. He hates people but loves animals. He would go to the needs of the Earth for small creatures but uses people for money. I think this is why he is so torn with Eleanor because he changes his behaviour around her. We start to learn more about him and my heart cracked for him. I fell in love more in love with him and then he does something that makes me want to slap him!
Now the ending… I was not expecting it! I admire Eleanor’s moxie but damn girl, not sure if that was a good idea! I am so glad that the books are being released every month. I don’t know what I would do if I had to wait months and months! I can’t wait to read more of Sully and Eleanor.
This story is a true mind warp. It just gets better and better. I’m absolutely enamoured with Sully and Jinx. This story has kept me on the edge of my seat, my heart racing, my breathing shallow and my fingers busy….. turning pages! I bet you were thinking something else! What a concept for a story. Just wow!
The feelings are full and flagrant on this island in paradise. Sully is not who he seems, yet everything you think he is at the same time. Jinx is one strong feminine powerhouse and is giving Sully a run for his money. I can’t wait to see where we go next with this hot little number! Book three cant get here quick enough!
The images Pepper Winters portrays are palpable and gripping, creating A Virtually Real world! A tropical dreamland in all it’s dynamic vividness!
I not only felt my heartbeats but could literally hear the palpitations within me as I ravenously devoured this enthralling read! I was sucked in completely entranced while clenching my palms among other things.
The intensity of that ending left me audibly gasping! I cannot wait for what’s to come in book three!
This is Book 2 in the Goddess Isles and it picks up right where Once a Myth ends. After the ending in Once a Myth, this installment couldn’t land in my kindle fast enough.
Sully and Eleanor’s story continues to develop and evolve.
Revelations are made and new secrets emerge.
Brutally raw, and full of dark deliciousness this author is famous for, I was immediately sucked in and I savored every word.
The ending… bring on book 3 please!!
