From New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, comes the second book in the new Dark Romance Series, Goddess Isles.
“There was a monster once. A monster who bought me, controlled me, and took away my freedom.
There was a man once. A man who dealt in myth and secrets, hiding behind his mask, making me hunger and wish to know the truth.”
Eleanor Grace belongs to the man and the monster, hating … to the man and the monster, hating them both but unable to deny that something links them. Something she doesn’t want to feel, something that traps her as surely as the sea surrounding the island where she serves.
Sully Sinclair belongs to his past and the black and white script his life has become. He views his goddesses as commodities—possessions to be treated kindly but firmly. The only problem is…Eleanor is different.
She’s jinxed him.
Cursed him.
Awakened him.
She’s a goddess with the power to ruin him.
Second book in a series. 76,000 words, continue with Third a Kiss

Holy hell what was that cliffhanger!! I’m dying to see what Sully does on the elixir. Eleanor definitely has some balls standing up to Sully the way she does. But she can not hide the desire she feels for him. This series is not for the faint of heart. This story is full of angst and I literally finished it in a matter of hours. This series has consumed me and I need to read book 3 now. I can not get over the aspect that Sully is so in love with his animals but can be so ruthless towards humans and we still do not know what he is fully capable of. Pepper Winters is a amazing author and now I’m going to devoure book 3.
omg this series just keeps getting better and better! I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what is gonna happen next. The tension between these two just keeps getting stronger and stronger… if something doesn’t happen soon its going to explode everywhere…if Jinx hasn’t managed to make it happen with the stunt she pulled at the end of the book… I was like OMG what have you done Jinx! I can see I am going to be spending a few sleepless nights trying to get thru this series. It will be so worth it!
I give this book 2.5 stars………..
I’m usually a big fan of Pepper Winters, I wanted to love this series but I am struggling with this one it’s long, drawn-out and repetitive. I received an arc for an honest review.

Book 2 of the Goddess Isles is even better than book 1! Pepper Winters is seriously outdoing herself with this book.
It starts off nearly where book 1 ended, but there is a flashback so we see what exactly went on in euphoria for her. While book 1 was a lot of introductory things, this one is mostly development. In terms of plot, I can say there was a lot of progression made, but it did focus more on developing everything.
I enjoyed the characters during the first book, and I do even more now. Eleanor starts off as a very strong-willed woman. She comes off so much stronger and powerful in this one as she begins to settle in. You won’t be disappointed as she still fights him always, but nothing about it comes off as overdone or annoying. There is something that happens in this one that really needs to happen. I think the series wouldn’t be complete without it happening in the beginning. In the end, it’ll help their relationship move forward that much more. Sullivan too makes massive strides in the personality department. We learn so much more about what he’s all about, even his buried heart. The islands add a sense of whimsicalness to the series, but this book does bring us back to the fact that he is a human as well.
And then their relationship of course. While she’s fighting him, and he’s using her, they’re both on a level that neither one is prepared for. He’s breaking more and more around her and I suspect by the next book, we’re gonna see some powerful scenes with the two of them.
What’s so great about these books is the ongoing mystery that Pepper surrounds us with by placing us on these islands. Especially around the euphoria concept. Luckily, we learn quite a bit about it and the process. Not enough to satisfy all questions, but enough that I am sated for now and I do hope to see more explanations coming up in future books.
Like book 1, this one ends on a cliffhanger, and boy it’s a doozy! I didn’t even think it would get to the point that he would consider. And then what she does in response! April just can’t come fast enough!
***** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *****
Pepper Winters continues on with her Goddess Isles series. We really get to know Sully and Eleanor during the second book while they also get to know each other as well. Sully is fully aware of the ties Eleanor has wrapped around his heart and wants to loosen them. It’s fascinating how much h I dispised Sully in the first book. However, he really starts to win you over in this book. Eleanor is holding onto her strength. She sees what she does to Sully and tries to play it. Lord this story sneaks up on you and just hooks right into you!! It might be messed up. It might be dark. But it’s great!!
I love that the narrators were the same from the first book. Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider bring these two characters to life! Puckett was fabulous! I loved that she didn’t make Eleanor sound weak. She might have been in a difficult situation but she had a steel spine and Puckett really gave her strength. It’s hard to find that line between that girl that has been taken and is scared to the strength she shows. Sarah Pucket brought her to life. I really enjoyed Rider’s deep voice. Sully is a no-nonsense voice that edges on cruel while still sounding sexy.

Dark & Twisted Brilliance Awesome Narration!
Twice a Wish
Goddess Isles, Book 2
By: Pepper Winters
Narrated by: Sarah Puckett, Scott Rider
Pepper Winters continues to blow me away with her “Goddess Isle” series. It is a dark and twisted story and I am loving every moment of it. This book picks up right where the first book, “Once a Myth” left off, if you have not read or listened to that yet stop right here and get that book pronto, it is a must read/listen. Eleanor survived her first full experience in Euphoria, as did Sully, he has been struggling with what Eleanor does to him, she makes him feel and want things he should not have. Eleanor reads him like no one ever could, it surprises Sully but he continues to fight what he is feeling and continues to push her away. But as Eleanor learns more about him the more she understands and she starts to push back. I loved learning more about Sully Sinclair, is he a genius or a madman or maybe he walks the line between both, either way he has some deep and serious trust issues. At times I think he is at war with his inner demons, a very personal psychological warfare. It broke my heart to learn his troubling past and what he went thru as a child. It gives an excellent insight why he does the things he does. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt moments, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, some hot kink and a very twisted very screwed up possible love story. Pepper Winters, thank you for this amazing story, I am looking forward to what comes next for Sully and his jinx!
I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider are talented narrators and voice artists.
They continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is exceptional, they truly grasped who they are as they humanize, allowing you to hear their emotions in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen

Twice a Wish (Goddess Series, Book 2) brings out more of Sullivan’s complex character. I loved learning more about Sullivan’s history. A dark romance that is extremely twisted, listen at own peril. Looking forward to listening to the next audio in this dark romance series.
Narrators Sarah Puckett, Scott Rider brought so much more to this audio. A perfect performance dual narration. Sarah Puckett is my favourite female narrator and Scott Ryder is excellent at performing Sully. Sarah has the ability to play out the role in such a realistic way. Scott’s inflection was smooth and brought out the tangible sentiments.
Audiobook Obsession
I literally devoured this book, finally giving in to sleep at 3am only to pick it back up at 7am the following morning. I couldn’t sleep, my mind kept focusing on the story trying to work out the plot.
Once again Pepper delivers a delicious dark read. After the way book one ended I needed putting out of my misery and I’m really pleased with the direction Pepper took this story. She certainly deserves her Queen of darkness title.
The electricity between Sully and Eleanor is phwoar off the charts. It’s always present, the sex scenes just ignite your kindle. This woman can write and plot like no other!! The humour woven throughout once again had me laughing, This book is dark without being heavy and I think it would appeal to all those readers that stay away from dark.
Pepper has created two amazing characters that truly deserve to be read and cherished!
Twice a Wish is the second book in the Goddess Isles series and it just keeps getting better. How Pepper even created this story blows my mind. She never seems to amaze me. I’m always trying to figure it out and yet she keeps me guessing, craving for more.
“You are incomparable. I can’t stop wanting you. I want to live inside you forever.”
THIS…is how I feel after every read. AMAZING!!!!
4*
We return to the story of Eleanor/Jinx and Sully.
Jinx is still fighting to stay true to herself but been on the island is messing with her mind.
When Sully gets a phone call that suddenly alters things between him & Jinx.
A last act of desperation from Eleanor leaves us desperate for book 3 “Third a kiss”
One man’s fantasy is one goddess’s nightmare, at least until she’s consumed by lust and passion, no matter how she ends up in that state of constant need.
One man’s island of pleasure is one captive’s impenetrable cage, regardless of the escape that both seem to feel while they’re there together.
But the men who arrive Goddess Isle do so by choice, do so for a singular purpose, and once they’ve had their fill, they are free to leave, free to do what they want, free to live their lives on their terms, not someone else’s.
That’s not the case for Sully Sinclair’s goddesses…they are a commodity…they are his to use, to give clients’ pleasure, to play a role where they’re the puppets and he’s their puppet-master. And his goddesses are not on that island because they want to be…they are bought, controlled, and used for other people’s needs.
But Eleanor Grace, Jinx, is not like Sully’s other women, which is a blessing and a curse for both of them, and as her time on the island continues, they both are tormented by their chemistry…by their connection…by their need. But that’s not how Sully’s supposed to act toward one of his captives, and because he feels so out of sorts, the decisions he makes and the actions he takes make things on that island so far from black and white that there’s no telling where they will end up.
Like all of Pepper Winters’ scarred, larger-than-life anti-heroes, there’s more to
him than readers are privy to throughout the course the story. And what is known, the fact that is he, perhaps, more monster than man, is only one view of who Sully truly is, which means, the more readers learn about him and his backstory, the more difficult it becomes to see him as one-dimensional as a sadistic S.O.B. who revels in magnifying pleasure for his twisted needs and those of his clients.
I’m not sure where Winters plans to take these two or who readers will be introduced to as the series continues, but what I am sure of is that the way she crafts this narrative and sends Sully and Jinx, spiraling out of control from lust and need, will either implode or become something much more complex…or maybe even both, because as I’ve learned from the many stories I’ve read from this author…nothing and no one are ever what they seem.
4.5 Poison Apples
This story doesn’t disappoint! I can’t wait to see how Sully deals with the band he’s dealt in the next book. The chemistry between these two is so incredible…it has its own racing pulse!
This is book two from the “Goddess Isles” series and can not be read as a stand alone.
Ok so we left off on a crazy, highly explosive part last book. This book we step right back in. HOT!! This book is super sexy and full of sexual tension.
I love the story behind the story here. I am waiting for Sully to uncover his dark side. Because all I am doing is falling for this man. The end of the book though… hot damn!!!
I still am irritated at the book itself. I am not used to a alpha character allowing these things to happen. But something big is coming, I can feel it!! I can not wait for the next book!!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
What an incredible journey!! Tropical Island, brewing storm, elixir, wanton desires, and chaos! So many unanswered questions! Intriguing and exciting!! Pepper Winters words takes you on a fantasy that will leave you craving more!!
This is the second book in the Goddess Isles series, and the continuation of Sully, and Eleanor’s story. We pick right up from book one, and the twist, and turns just keep on coming, as Sully, and Eleanor continue to fight their attraction. This was another great read, the characters have panty melting chemistry, and kept me intrigued. This is hot, steamy, passionate, emotional, intense, twisted, dark, suspenseful, and dramatic. I can’t wait to read book three.
“…I’d search for other ways to claim my freedom. Ways that might include bartering my heart in return for gaining the reluctant one in the chest of my enemy.”
Holy. Shit. Somebody should call fire brigade because shit just got real. What the fuck, Sully!!! Gahhhh!!!
Okay, the author owed me. Big time. She owed me a new e-reader and money for water bill. How so? Because, oh my lawd, did the fire from Sully and Eleanor’s chemistry burned me right from my pages of this book. I’m not kidding. These two had this fiery, raw and powerful connection that will leave you hot and bothered. I had to stop multiple times to freshen up, because they are on fire!!!
“If you were an animal, then you’d be the most dangerous of them all. You would have the power to shred me limb from limb. Your claws would kill me. Your teeth devour me. If you were an animal, Goddess Jinx, then I would have to fucking bow to you.”
On the other hand, I loved that we had a bit of a backstory on Sully and omg! Did this girl fall in love. If his forceful persona and devilish charm didn’t do it already, it’s his dark, sorrowful past that breaks my walls. I love me some dark, broody, alpha, broken hero and Sully had it on spades and more. One more thing, I can’t with that ending! I literally was flipping the pages for more only to reach the end and screamed, what!!!! I need book 3 asap!!!
There are few authors out there that I know who can do what Pepper Winters does.
She creates a world with the most absolutely addictive characters you’re left speechless. Time and time again. Each and every book. Each and every series. She blows me away EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
See, that’s the only problem I have with her books. When they land on my kindle, I HAVE to read it IMMEDIATELY. As fast as I possibly can, devouring every word. Because I HAVE to know what’s going to happen next. And then, it’s over in the blink of an eye and I’m screaming at 4am because I *NEED* the next book like my next craving. Like the Pepper Winters addict I am.
As you can see, this is book two of a series, so you have to have read Once A Myth first. That’s where we first meet Sullivan “Sully” Sinclair and Eleanor “Jinx” Grace. Two magnetizing characters that pull you into their journey so completely, you forget the real world and all thats going on around you.
Their story continues in Twice A Wish, where we learn much more about our Sully. What a man, what a man. WHAT. A. MAN. This complicated, beautiful, dark soul is much more that we really knew him to be. And my GAWWWD I love him. My dark, dominant romance loving heart can’t get enough of him. He’s everything you love and hate all rolled into one. And Jinx.
Let me tell you. If there was ever a female character to have a girl crush on, it’s her. Eleanor is smart, strong and absolutely captivating. It’s no wonder this Goddess has Sully all twisted up like never before.
Here I am thinking I wouldn’t come up with the right words for how absolutely STUNNING this series is. My tummy hurts. I need the next book. NEED. Pepper Winters has me wrapped around her finger. If there was ever a series to read, it’s the Goddess Isles series. And be ready. With wine. Tequila maybe. Put protective casing around whatever you’re using to read cuz you’ll likely throw it across the room a few times. A box of tissue. OH! And chocolate. Lots of it.
Twice A Wish is the second book in the Godess Isles series. Pepper Winters is no contest one of the absolute best dark romance suspense authors in the genre so I had high hopes and they weren’t disappointed!
In Once A Myth, we’re introduced to Eleanor and Sully. Sully buys Eleanor from human traffickers and informs her she will work as a ‘Godess’ on his island for the next four years. By Godess, he means prostitute. They have a great chemistry and the book ends with a wicked cliffhanger. In the second book, we learn a whole lot more about Sully, this makes him much more human and likable. He is no prince, but it seems he is not a complete monster either. The couple grows closer throughout the story, but at the end of the story they’re at odds again. Another cliffhanger that makes me hungry for the next book!
OMG!!, literally I can’t wait for the next book, I need to know what happens, love how the author kept me in my toes wondering the next move, the story itself mades this book perfect, the characters complement each other, and the chemistry between the main ones is so hot, you won’t be putting down the book until you finish it, I recommend this one a 100 percent.
Pepper has got to be my favorite I love her work. The debauchery, the passion, the fear. She has a way with words I love Jinx and Sullys connection. I can’t wait for the next books to be released
