The first contemporary romance in the series readers describe as “unforgettable.”
TWELVE DAYS (The McRaes – Books 1, Sam & Rachel)
Twelve Days before Christmas, Rachel McRae opens her front door and a social worker puts a baby in her arms, one abandoned along with her four-year-old brother and eleven-year-old sister, all in need of a temporary home.
Rachel and her husband, Sam, … four-year-old brother and eleven-year-old sister, all in need of a temporary home.
Rachel and her husband, Sam, have dreamed of a home filled with children — but their efforts to have a family have led to repeated heartbreak.
Sam McRae loves his wife. Devastated at how unhappy she is and unable to fix it, he’s decided the only thing left to do is leave her — right after Christmas — and hope she can find happiness with someone else.
Neither of them expected to find their home suddenly full of children, to be living the life they always imagined. But they’ve been warned not to fall in love with these children. No one knows where their mother is. No one knows if or when she’ll be back.
Sam and Rachel promise to try to give the children a happy small-town Christmas. Despite it being a season of miracles, they try not to get their hopes up that these children will stay, and that their marriage will get a second chance.

Although somewhat predictable, it was a fun but thoughtful read of life and how we handle crisis in our life’s. Loved the way each days as presented!
A wonderful fun entertainingg book
I have read this book a few times already and each time I cry right along side the family.
Emotional read, but very satisfying. The kids stole my heart.
The story that touches your heart and soul.
loved it
Great read!
Great Christmas book
An inane teen story. Stupid and a cliffhanger.
I like anything that involves family, hardships and how they are overcome.
Sweet, quiet romantic story of two people finding their way back to each other. The plot was underpinned by a realistic lack of certainty regarding the foster children. This aspect of the story helped me have an even greater respect for foster parents. Lovely.
I really enjoyed this book about the almost unraveling of a marriage. A couple experiences grief separately and is on the verge of giving up on each other. A Christmas foster care placement gives them a reason to stay together as a family temporarily but a tragic twist of fate may connect them in a way they could never imagine. A feel good read and a happy ending for two tortured souls.
I loved it, very easy to read!
Very good story although I wish it would have had a better ending.
Twelve Days by Teresa Hill is a lov
I often say books are delightful and charming, and I always mean it. But this book is one of those few that takes delightful and charming to a new level. The story engaged my heart from the beginning as Rachel and Sam and the oh-so-adorable children journey through the depths of despair to find each other and understand the meaning of love. I could so easily picture the children and want to take them into my own home, and that is the mark of an amazing storyteller. If you love Christmas and magic and stories about love, you’ll love this!
I very much enjoyed this book. The characters were full fleshed and I came to care for them. It was well written and well edited. While I knew where I wanted the story to go I couldn’t figure out how it was going to get there. I very, very much recommend this deep and lovely book. If you are looking for hot sex look elsewhere — one of my favorite things about this book. This is a novel about people NOT about sex.
Absolutely wonderful book!
This book was recommended by someone to me and is a delightful read!
Book review of Twelve Days by Teresa Hill …
This was an emotional ride, I teared up repeatedly throughout the book. I didn’t love Rachel, I thought she was spoiled and entitled but as the story went on she grew. I enjoyed her journey as well as Sam’s struggles and growth.
It was a great store with a happy ending.
