Turning up the heat well-writing story with wonderful characters. Is page -turner from the first page to the end. The author did an amazing job on the plot and providing small details on each escenario. The steamy is perfect to melt your kindle. Plus there is a pinch of romantic. Kerri lives her past behind to start a new life in chicago. She starts working in a radio station broadcasting a program called the heat waves. With the help of Ian the ratings has spiraled up. He has listening to her every night after work. Just by listening to her. Something inside of him has open up. What will happen if kerri gives a love chance? Will she denied Ian? Will both of them get there happily ever. This questions you ask yourself as the story progresses
Turning Up the Heat is hot, and emotionally layered, and has one of the sweetest, most sinfully sexy heroes I’ve read in a long, long time!
Kerri is a DJ who has been steaming up the airwaves of Chicago when she banters with a sexy, mysterious caller as they discuss sex and seduction. When one of their nightly calls somehow turns into a setup for a real live date, Kerri is suddenly unsure. She wants to keep the fantasy of what Ian is like all in her mind, and not to be disillusioned about what he might really be like. But, when Ian turns out to be even sweeter and sexier than she had imagined, will her damaged heart be able to take all the tenderness Ian gives her? All the intimacy? All the comfort? She can handle, no, craves, the sexy moves he uses on her in the bedroom, but what she isn’t sure she can deal with are the growing feelings of love she’s developing.
My God, I wanted to smack Kerri for her actions more than once. OK, I get that she has a past that’s made her slow to trust. A past that has made her loathe to need or accept help or love from a man, but come on, Ian was the sweetest, most compassionate soul. He never pushed her, he never boxed her in (except in bed) and he never asked more from her than her simple trust. Alas, that was the one thing she couldn’t give him, so she did the most completely boneheaded thing she could possibly have done. I almost gave up on her right then, but in true Erika fashion, she turned things around, after a heart to heart with her friend Tori (whom I love and would so read a story about), she finally got her head out of her ass and realized what a great guy she had in Ian.
If I could, I’d box Ian up and bring him home myself because he’s that amazing! Sweet, kind and gentle, with so many swoon worthy, sexy moves in the bedroom that I’d always be satisfied. And his kisses, his many seductive kisses…
“I had a great time’ kiss”, he said, lifting his hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, an excuse to keep touching her. “An ‘I like you’ kiss.” His finger traced the shell of her ear and found the soft, sensitive hollow beneath her lobe. “An ‘I want you’ kiss.”
God, Erika has raised the bar on BBFs with this man, and Kerri was the lucky woman to capture his heart.
Turning Up the Heat is classic Erika Wilde – it’s sweet, it’s sexy, and it’s got characters with real hearts, with real insecurities, and real emotions all wrapped up in a swoony, layered romance. I absolutely love it!
I found the story boring as well as slow. I was 40% in and I hadn’t read anything that stirred me. I kept read because I love Erika Wilde books but sadly this one didn’t get any more interesting to me. The only reason I finished it was because I don’t like not finishing a book. I will recommend the Tall Dark and Sexy Series. Those books are hot and the stories are interesting. Honestly I’ve enjoyed almost all of Erika’s books. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Kerri loves her job of being a talk show host on a local radio station. She enjoys talking about taboo subjects. Ian becomes a staple caller and heats up the show for all listeners. To turn the heat up even higher, Ian and Kerri explore a relationship that every listener know exists. Ian learns of Kerri’s true secrets and helps her find herself. Kerri finds the one hurt that change Ian’s view on relationships and helps him find a way to work through it. These two truly heat up the scenes with every glance and touch. Their chemistry is on fire. I love how Erika Wilde brings them together and explore taboo subjects with grace and dignity.
Lia Langola narrates this story. Ms. Langola can narrate anything and bring it to life. This story is so intricate and Ms. Langola narrates it with care. So many different pieces create this whole story. Ms. Langola is able to make this narration easy to follow and so enjoyable, that it was hard to stop listening. I am glad it was a stand alone, but I do wish there was a sequel because I want more of Ian and Kerri.
Kerri & Ian ~~~~Are sizzling in Turning up the Heat~~~
The lovely Kerri has a late night radio talk show. She has learned to reinvent herself and the station has taken notice when her ratings begin to reflect that fact! Kerri may talk about sex and what men and women may want but she is certainly not pulling from personal experience. Lady Luck has not smiled on her in that way……Yet.
Ian has distanced himself from relationships. He lost his first real love in a devastating accident. He has not yet met or heard a woman that has given him that same feeling …Yet. Ian works hard and has become very successful in the investment world but comes home each night to an empty home. By chance he tunes in to his local late night talk radio and this is the moment he hears the sultry hypnotic funny woman he comes to know has Kerri. She listens and then does her best to talk through relationship woes. He can’t turn it off so each night for the next several months he listens and calls in. Their witty sexually charged banter become the talk of the audience and the highlight of Kerri and Ian’s day. It is inevitable that they should meet! The callers and station begin to root for this couple to finally make a face to face date.
The moment that Kerri and Ian meet the chemistry is real. Can they make it work and put those relationship and heartaches behind to find what they both may need and deserve.
Loved it !! Gifted a copy for an honest review!

Sweet story about radio station dj and her new love interest. Lots of steamy scenes with a little intrigue thrown in. Enjoyed the Ian character, sweet guy and of course rich. 😀
Didn’t hold my attention.
More fun than funny. Enjoyable.
This was my first read from this author and I am so glad I found her. A wonderful writing style with great character development and realistic plot and dialogue, plus a steamy relationship…what more can a reader ask for? Definitely looking forward to reading more by Erika Wilde.
WOW! What a totally swoon worthy story. Ian is my new book boyfriend. He was so sweet and sexy as well as patient and oh so giving. He was definitely an expert in foreplay. My temperature absolutely rose reading about Ian and Kerri. Their chemistry was off the charts and all their “mind sex” was really fun. There were a few emotional moments that really added some depth to the characters and what they went through. All the characters were really great people. I loved them all. I really loved the premise of the story too. An absolutely fun and steamy story that I just want to read again and again.

What a hot, steamy and wonderful romance story Erika Wilde wrote with Turning Up the Heat. Radio personality Kerri McCree has seen the damage caused to a woman being dependent on a man, especially from an abusive one. Her job as a nighttime talk radio host allows her to talk about all aspects of sex, which she loves to do, even though she is not a sex expert. Ian Carlisle had a rough childhood but was fortunate to be treated as a member of the Winslow family while he dated their daughter and after her death. Lonely and at loose ends he begins to listen to the Heat Waves, Kerri’s radio show, calling in to discuss and challenge the host. These two had a definite on air chemistry and Ian wanted to take it off the air, dating Kerri, showing her what dating a real man could be like. Kerri realized that she and Ian shared more than just a “hot, sizzling chemistry … giving their relationship a depth she’d never anticipated.”
I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Wilde wrote wove a wonderful story, with desire, fear, anxiety, love, as well some steamy, hot sex. She drew me in and did not let go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers

Fun loving story about radio talk show host Kerri McCree and her interaction with nightly caller Ian Carlisle. Kerri is the voice behind Heat Wave in Chicago, a sexy talk show that discusses sex, love, what a women/man wants, etc. Ian’s nightly calls pushes Kerri and really heats up the radio waves, and Kerri.
Great second chance love story that will make you laugh, cry, and just keep reading until you find out how Kerri and Ian come together.
I loved reading this book when it was first published in paperback, and truly enjoying reading it again. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
So freaking good! Kerri is a talk radio host who loves to talk about sex, even if she is not as experienced as she should be to talk about all she is does. Ian stumbles across her show one night and he is hooked and starts calling in and they have great chemistry on air. Great seduction across the airwaves but will it lead to even more when then meet face to face? These two are great together and the chemistry keeps the pages turning and burning! I highly recommend this one.

Turning Up the Heat by Erika Wilde was a totally hot, sexy read just like her other books! !
Kerri and Ian jump off the pages of this book with their banter and sexy talk though they haven’t met…
Kerri is a late night radio talk personality who gets her listeners to call in an discuss all things involved in a relationship, sex, fidelity, family, etc. until she has the same caller every night…Ian is that caller, who has a deep sexy voice that Kerri swoons over and he has fallen in love with her voice too. For weeks they have in depth conversations on the air as a way to get to know each other…and while all this is going on the radio station may be sold if they can’t bring in more advertisers to keep the station going. During one conversation he challenges her to meet him and they begin a series of dates that they broadcast on air…but insecurities from her past relationships sets in and she pulls away from Ian who realizes this but can he show her how to let go of the insecurities and let their feelings grow ????
Kerri is a radio talk show host and her topics are heating up the air waves. She had a rough childhood and doesn’t want to depend on a man for her happiness. Ian is an investment broker and is partner in the company. His fiancée died eight years ago and he still blames himself. He turns on the radio and hears the sexiest voice ever. He starts calling in and they develop a semi relationship over the phone.
When they go out and report back on the air how it went, the ratings start to rise. The manager and her best friend come up with a campaign, go out to some of the sexy places Chicago has and come back and tell about it on the radio. They also start to have a sexual relationship that is hotter than the nights. But then Ian buys the fledgling business and Kerri gets scared and breaks things off. Ian gives her the space she needs but will she make the right decision and go after her heart or will her insecurities get the best of her?
A sweet, sultry DJ and a handsome millionaire. Dirty talk. Sex. A story that keeps you hooked from the first line.
