**Note: This is not a standalone novel or novella. This is the short continuation to the USA Today bestselling novel, Turbulence. This is us. This is our messed up love. This is turbulence.
This is my first ever book by this author and I was addicted to this book. I now want to devour all the books by this author. Turbulence was a fun, sexy, steamy, and completely captivating read. I really liked both Jake and Gillian. It had a super exciting beginning which really gets the story going and immediately grabbed my attention. What is turns into a no-strings attached agreement filled with hot sex, turns into something far more complicated and complex. Jake is a complicated character with going on than we can imagine and wants nothing more than to use Gillian’s body. While Gillian agrees to the terms of their relationship, but does not spend one day holding up her end of the bargain by falling in love with him and trying to make the relationship more than it was supposed to be. There’s a lot of making up and breaking up, but I loved it nonetheless and it was great getting to know these characters.
My only gripe was Gillian constantly pushing for more when she literally agreed the terms and nature of their relationship. It was supposed to be strictly fucking and pushed more the second they got started and kept walking away from Jake when he wouldn’t give her more. I always feel that’s unfair to expect more from the other person when you catch feelings and fall in love and I understand that’s what happens in real life, I’ve been there, its just annoying in books sometimes. I also didn’t think it was fair for her to publish her book and then try to tell Jake afterwards since the book is about him. But none of this changed how much I loved reading this book.

: adult romance, friends with benefits, forced proximity, angsty and steamy read
First time I’m reading anything by the author and all I can say is that the book surprised me for good!!!
Since I read ugly love by Colleen Hoover, I wanted a story between a pilot and a flight attendant, so here it comes turbulence. This book has lots of tropes I love: friends with benefits, forced proximity and angst. But then the author added some plot twists that blew my mind.
Gillian and Jake have such insane chemistry since day one, so once they do explore it, holy F Ngl, sometimes I wanted to p*nch them for their d*mb decisions, but I’m glad they worked their problems and stayed together.
Besides loving the book so much, I wish there was groveling because it was so well needed. Jake did some hurtful things to Gillian, which is why I wish she didn’t forgive him so easily. Also, I wanted to see them being happy in a couple more chapters (yes, I know there is an epilogue, but in her NL not in the book….).
Does that mean the book isn’t good? Hell no!! I was in such an awful book slump, so thanks to turbulence I remembered why I love reading. The author’s writting style is awesome, the smut is amazing and the characters and plot fantastic. I wish I have read the author before because it was such a fun experience. So for that, thank you Whitney for writting such an awesome book. Highly recommended!!!

This book is golden. No OW/OM drama. And I always love a very jaded, possessive, dirty talker, and straightforward HERO. Then gradually you can see how his characterization grows as the story takes off. As well as for our heroine who knows how to stand up and knows what she wants in life, whether it’s sex or career.
I just love Whitney G.’s writing style and characterization. Anyhow if you enjoyed R.K. Lilley’s Up in The Air Trilogy, this book is for you .
