#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In the heart of Trenton, N.J., a killer is out to make sure someone gets his just desserts. Larry Virgil skipped out on his latest court date after he was arrested for hijacking an eighteen-wheeler full of premium bourbon. Fortunately for bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, Larry is just stupid enough to attempt almost the exact same crime again. Only this time he flees … crime again. Only this time he flees the scene, leaving behind a freezer truck loaded with Bogart ice cream and a dead body—frozen solid and covered in chocolate and chopped pecans.
As fate would have it, Stephanie’s mentor and occasional employer, Ranger, needs her to go undercover at the Bogart factory to find out who’s putting their employees on ice and sabotaging the business. It’s going to be hard for Stephanie to keep her hands off all that ice cream, and even harder for her to keep her hands off Ranger. It’s also going to be hard to explain to Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli, why she is spending late nights with Ranger, late nights with Lula and Randy Briggs—who are naked and afraid—and late nights keeping tabs on Grandma Mazur and her new fella. Stephanie Plum has a lot on her plate, but for a girl who claims to have “virtually no marketable skills,” these are the kinds of sweet assignments she does best.

Any book by Janet Evanovich cracks me up. Stephanie Plum is one of my all time favorite characters. You cannot go wrong with one of her stories.
This book was hilarious! Stephanie’s grandmother did not have as big a part in it as what she has in prior books to me but the stuff that Lula gets into in this one is just too funny. Way beyond here normal crazy self. 🙂 Definitely a must read!
Stephanie Plum and her friend Lula are hunting the bad guy again. All of the S.P. books are entertaining to read and this one doesn’t disappoint. They bungle things as always while eating donuts and tasty cakes. If you are looking for a light, funny read with lovable characters you will enjoy this book.
I got the new Stephanie Plum novel for Christmas and finished it within days! I love this series (quick read, funny, and you don’t have to think too hard). In this story there is trouble with a capital M (for murder) at the local ice cream factory. While Stephanie is on the case, Lula is planning her audition tape for a reality show. Of course things don’t go quite as planned for either of them. Grandma has a new boyfriend and Stephanie’s mom is ironing her anxiety about that away! Another fun murder mystery from Janet Evanovich!
I like all the Stephanie Plum books.
After reading a number of dark tales I needed a good laugh and got it with Janet Evanovich’s Turbo Twenty-Three. A delightful read. Bounty Hunter Stephanie Plum is working undercover in the Bogart ice cream factory. She’s still dividing her time and emotion between Ranger and Joe Morelli. She’s working undercover for Ranger when she and Lulu find the frozen body of the Bogart HR manager covered in chocolate and nuts. There are the usual blown-up vehicles. Lulu and Randy are trying to get on a reality tv show, Naked and Afraid. Grandma Mazur has a new boyfriend. No thought required, just sit back, be entertained, and enjoy.
I love reading Janet Evanovich on rainy days. I always end up laughing out loud. It’s the secondary characters that really make the story funny. Quirky Grandma Mazur, Bob the dog that eats everything, Lula the gun-toting ex-prostitute to name just a few. Some people get tired of the formula, but I love this series. I’ll keep reading it as long as Ms. Evanovich keeps publishing.
If you like a light hearted and funny mystery you will like Janet Evanovich’s series about Stephanie Plum. Her sidekick Lula and her Grandma Mazur are a real hoot!
I agree a few things are a little unbelievable but on a whole I think the books are quite enjoyable. I would recommend to friends that want a funny mystery romance novel.
I have read every one of the books in this series and I always get a belly laugh out of the stories. My oldest sister married a young man from Trenton, NJ and lived there for 48 years until she died from cancer. I know every business, street, funeral home, etc. that is mentioned in these books, especially the bakeries where the cannolis are bought! I truly recommend this series not only because of the personal connection I have which brings my laughs but also the romantic hyjinx she gets into between the men she can’t seem to choose between! Enjoy!
Great book
Janet Evanovich is a master story teller. Her books are a pleasure to read! Ranger is hot!
Easy read. Read from book 1, One for the Money or pick up in middle of series. Great read.
Love this author! She is awesome
Lice this series. Will keep you in stitches.
great fun book
I got this Audio book from the library plenty of twist and turns.
One of the best books written by Janet Evanovich in recent years. Very funny.
I can’t help myself when it comes to Stephanie Plum. I know there’ll be a car mishap, some craziness from Lula and Grandma, the rest of the usual cast of characters will do their thing, and everyone will be fine at the end..sort of like I Love Lucy in a book instead of a TV episode.
But I still give her 5 stars just for staying power: I’m addicted.
I have read all the books in this series and passed them around to friends & members of my reading group at the nursing home where my mom died. She had Alzheimer’s and visitors agitated her,so I started a reading group. This series was a hit with the ladies. It made them feel scandalous . I was able to keep an eye on mom&do a good thing.
The action and humor are totally making up for the stupidness. I thought after the epiphany at Disney World she would have kicked Joe to the curb so hard he would have bounced out of Jersey BUT NO I am going to see this series to the end no matter what.
