A hot new rock star romance that will sweep you off your feet and leave you with a smile from New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott. The rumors are true. At least where I’m concerned. Drummers hit it harder and do it better. Women love me and I love them. But I like to think of myself as a sensitive soul trapped in a lady-killer’s body. Not so surprisingly, I’ve been called cocky a time … I’ve been called cocky a time or two. What can I say? We can’t all be boy scouts.
Nikki Faris has thrown off my rhythm. With her red lips, smart aleck mouth, short skirts, long legs, and blue-sky eyes, the beautiful lead singer has become a complete distraction on this tour.
She loves to give me a hard time when all I want to do is give her the pleasure of my hard—time right back.
Tulsa Crow can save his pick up lines, great eight-pack abs, and cute dimples to use on someone else. My band earned their spot on The Resistance’s tour just like The Crow Brothers. I’m not going to blow it getting sidetracked by a cocky rock star that wants to sleep his way through the states. I’ve been called a name or two, but easy isn’t one of them.
But the best intentions with him turn into a walk of shame for me. Only, I don’t feel shame. Instead, I’m doing the very thing I said I wouldn’t—falling for a playboy.
We make sinful music when we’re on the road, but what happens to our melody when the tour ends?
If you’ve read Spark, or The Resistance, then you must dive into Tulsa where the characters are featured. If you haven’t read those books, no worries, Tulsa is a COMPLETE STANDALONE in The Crow Brothers world.

Love this series Crow Brothers forever! Who knew? Cocky, confident, swoon-worthy, hot hunk, lady killer, $lut puppy, kid brother Tulsa we met in Spark would grow up to be a wonderful, caring, softy (but still a hot hunk) of a man. This is a beautifully written love story that has all the elements needed to push it to must read status. A terrific storyline, a hot rock drummer, a beautiful scarred rock singer, an evil ex, wonderful families and lots of hunky rockers. This author created and developed characters that jump off the pages into your heart. Nikki is beautiful, strong and resilient as she wrangles Tulsa’s heart as her own. This is not what I expected for Tulsa’s love story. The author was terrific in giving us the unexpected and a surprisingly mature Tulsa. Nikki is his perfect darlin’. Can’t wait for Rivers’ story. I have the tissues ready 😉 I voluntarily reviewed an ARC and I bought the book.
I enjoyed Tulsa and Nikki’s story. It was engrossing and heart melting. A story full of emotion and charm. I didn’t read the first book but now I really want to. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good Rockstar romance.
Sweet baby Tulsa I cannot get enough of these Crow brothers!
Scott takes us on tour with some our favorite rockstars with the addition of newcomers, Faris Wheel. Now, pay attention because this is where all the magic happens and we get to see two unlikely people fall in love and try to navigate their way through a relationship while trying to let go of their pasts.
Tulsa is nothing short of the perfect playboy. No strings attached, just wanting to play music and enjoy some of the perks of his stardom. You can’t help but to love his antics and laid back personality.
Nikki, an ex pageant queen, is on the road to finding herself after being caught up in her previous life. She is loyal to a fault and wants nothing more than herself and her band to succeed.
When these two meet for the first time you can practically see the fireworks. A few lust filled glances and meaningful conversations to spark interest then BOOM!
Remember what I said about the past? Well that is what pretty much sets the stage for this book, as we all know the past… has a way of catching back up to you. This couple faces some hardships and heartbreak while we sit sit back waiting and wondering what is going to come up next.
All this aside, Tulsa is a swoon worthy romance full of heat and passion and lets not forget, more Crows. Lots of bro hugs and communication with only glances.
I loved seeing more of Jet, Hannah and Alfie and I am sooo excited to see where Rivers will take us! I need more Crow!!
Three rock bands in different stages of their careers – one The Resistance, an established group & fan favorites, one The Crow Brothers, with their first album out & riding high on the charts & the third, Faris Wheel is finishing up their album but already with a fan base. What can happen when they are all on tour together? Tulsa is the youngest Crow brother & has always been a one time & done guy. He’s never taken a girl home & makes sure they know that’s all it will be. Until he sees her.
“an angel in a white dress that hits mid thigh on tan legs, feet sporting scuffed, red Converse sneakers.”
Nikki is the lead singer for Faris Wheel, a band made up of her cousin, her brother & her. She’s focused on her career & making it big. After a disastrous romance, she’s had it with guys. Her ex was possessive & arrogant. She’s determined to avoid that type of relationship from now on. Until she sees him.
Everything is against them. They are both in family bands. The tour is just starting. Neither of them are thinking forever. Fame, groupies & press will interfere. Events from their pasts come to light. Do they have a chance?
This is the second book in this series. The first was Jet & Hannah’s story. I feel this can be read as a stand alone. You do miss a little background but each story is self-contained. These characters are wonderful & well defined. The description of Tulsa from the beginning had me picturing a typical rock star playboy who thought he could get away with everything. Both main characters are damaged in their own way. Tulsa’s alcoholic father left when he was a toddler & his mother died when he was in high school. He leaves first so the women can’t leave him.Nikki is scarred mentally & physically from her time in an abusive relationship. She doesn’t trust her judgement anymore. I loved seeing how this relationship was different from the beginning for them & how it grew while they were on tour together. I can’t wait for Rivers’ story!

“Much more to him than that nasty first impression…boop”
I received an Advance Reader Copy for TULSA written by S.L. Scott and voluntarily reviewed this book. Tulsa Crow was living and loving the high life of fame and (much better) fortune, embarking on a sold-out tour with his band, The Crow Brothers, as an opening act for The Resistance, a band who took them under their wing. Just recently, however, Tulsa was partying hard with Shane and Laird, fellow tour members of Faris Wheel, the latest band to have nabbed a record deal with the very same company, Outlaw Records. But suddenly, when he meets Laird Paris’ twin sister Nikki, he is QUITE willing to leave all his previous notches on his post in the past, in order to have a chance at with her.
Nikki and two of the most important guys in her life right now, her brother and her cousin, are about to break out with an album soon, and being invited to tour with two chart-hot bands was the best opportunity thus far for them to make it big. Nikki is going to sing her heart out and do what it takes. She is NOT going to do the cliché thing and get involved with that sexy drummer Tulsa, even drawn as she is to him. They are all to play nice on stage and with each other and make it through the whole tour in one piece, with no drama. Like THAT is going to happen!
This was a well-written rock romance: tender, wise, honest. Their emotions slowly steamroll neatly into the real thing, which blossoms with good depth of communication between these two characters. Nikki’s recent past includes a difficult hardship thanks to her ex, but this has made her into a much more confident and feisty person who doesn’t hesitate to go for what she wants, and she is forging ahead brilliantly. There are a few additional dramatic twists to the story, but they only serve to illustrate the tightness of their “tour-mate” family, and the real ones in their own bands through their staunch and loving support. Also, looking forward to reading more of Rivers’ story, which was keeping him quiet and brooding but still caring throughout the book. The last Crow brother deserves love, too!
Wow!! Ms. Scott Did It again with TULSA!! She Always seems to Amaze me every time I Read her Books!! So Entertaining, Suspense and Funny!
TULSA is about two rock stars trying TO MAKE IT BIG SHOW of their Lives! Tulsa Crow is the Baby brother of The Crow Brothers Band which is the drummer and such a Hound Dog with the ladies. Nikki Faris is a former Beauty Pageant Queen and the Lead Singer of The Faris Wheel band. Like most famous member of a band, Tulsa is Cocky as they come but tries to Win Nikki over. Nikki is very independent strong woman but not falling for this “James Dean” look alike drummer. Which right away tries to put walls up around her heart since she once been hurt really before. He tries to Charm her but not falling for it. Talk about Enemies to Lovers Story that had me Melting My Panties and Will NOT WANNA PUT DOWN!!
This a Fun Fast pace book with non-stop action with Twists & Turns that will leave you Speechless! This Is A MUST READ BOOK AND CANNOT WAIT for Rivers Book!!
WELL DONE SUSIE!!!
There are certain things in life that always can make you happy. They vary depending on the person. For myself, there are many things but a few stand out as being the best. It is coffee, the sound of my son’s laughter, the smell of rain in the Summer, and seeing a book from my favorite author on my kindle. I’m still not sure how I discovered this author but I am forever glad I did because her words always seem to soothe a part of me just when I need it even before I knew that I needed it. So no surprise when I opened this book that again the magic of Tulsa and Nikki offered Solace to my soul just when I needed it.
Where do I even begin to describe this book without giving away spoilers? I knew Tulsa was going to be special when we first met him. His relationship with his nephew, Alfie, gave me that insight. What I didn’t know was how special he was. He’s a big boy (literally). This is a big book. We get to see him grow in many different ways. From being the youngest brother and fighting to have his passion/music discovered to one vacillating in being more than just a typical rockstar with a plethora of nameless groupies to choose from. I loved watching him grow into himself amidst wrestling with a few demons that appeared from his past.
Nikki. Good lord, this girl was so much more than a beauty queen face. I enjoyed watching her grow and blossom into the person she was destined to be. I loved the slow burn of watching these two discover each other without judgement. There were no pretenses but instead two friends that allowed love to grow from there.
In typical fashion, this author created a story and characters that sucked the audience in. From the first word I became immersed in the lives of the Crow brothers and the Faris family. There were laughs. There were moments that my heart melted. There were moments I fanned myself ( I might have had to check to make sure my iPad wasn’t overheating). Finally, there were just moments when I found myself wishing that these characters were real.
I’m pretty positive that this author doesn’t know how to write a bad leading man or his equally lovable female counterpart. Every time I tell myself that I cannot possibly love them more than the previous book. And every time I am wrong. EVERY. TIME. So I will just say again that Tulsa is my favorite of this author’s leading men…. Until next time. I cannot wait for Rivers.
As always, I am forever thankful for finding this author. Her words make my world a better place. I know she is a bundle of nerves right now wondering how people are going to react to her work. She always is on every new book. I just need her to know that in typical fashion, she knocked this one out of the park (very much like her Houston Astros). I am proud to be #ForeverAScottie
After falling in love with the Crow brothers in Spark, I was over the moon excited to hear Tulsa would get his own story.
No one really expected bad-boy Tulsa to settle down with one woman, least of all him, but just one look at his new touring mate Nikki, and he was hit.
Following Tulsa on his journey to finding himself and learning all about love with Nikki was sweet and seductive. Tulsa had his work cut out for him to change his wild ways and become the man Nikki deserved, but his smooth talking and southern accent help soften and crumble Nikki’s hard outer shell. The two of them forge ahead on their search for happiness.
Their path is not without a few bumps and boops, but that’s what makes it all so exciting. If there is a sexual innendo to be created, Tulsa is the master. Tulsa and Nikki always know how to bring everything back around to their mutual desire for each other.
Tulsa’s story was thoroughly entertaining and definitely had enough heat to warm me up. It’s a girthy read, in more ways than one, had some highly humorous parts which made me chuckle and shake my head. S.L. Scott’s books always entertain me in many ways and I totally recommend this to lovers of contemporary romance, musicians, muscular forearms, manly vein fetishes (you’’ll have to read it to appreciate it), novelty sex toys (do those kits really exist?), HEA’s, swooning, and heart-stopping romantic gestures. You won’t be disappointed.

I don’t know where to start with telling you about Tulsa.
Tulsa is the second of the Crow brothers to get a book and it’s truly a love story that wraps the reader up and won’t let go. Ms. Scott creates fantastic characters in Tulsa, Nikki, and the rest of their band mates and friends. I truly enjoyed watching the resident “bad boy” change his ways as he and Nikki met and began becoming friends then more.
Not everything for Nikki and Tulsa is sunshine and roses, but most of the conflict and angst is external to their relationship. How they dealt with those issues just made me like them that much more.
While this is a stand alone effort, it is strongly connected to the previous book Spark. Having read the previous book adds significantly to the enjoyment of this book by letting the reader have the full back story.
S.L Scott is a newer to me author (meaning she already had a bunch of books published before I found her) and everything I read has me wanting to read more. I am definitely looking forward to the third of the Crow brother’s books.
This was a very intense story and I loved it.
Some reasons for that:
* The storyline is in my opinion one of the best I’ve read. The building of a relationship between Nikki and Tulsa is sweet and suspenseful in a different way that I just can’t explain
* Secondary characters that has me longing to know their stories.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and dialogues that helps keep the story flowing easily.
* In the beginning I thought it was going to be another mushy story but it’s so intense described that connection between Nikki and Tulsa that it never feels mushy to me. Instead it feels honest, open and realistic.
* There’s no doubt I like the love scenes, but for me their so integrated in the story that it’s helping give the story meaning beyond the hotness level.
* The communication betweenNikki and Tulsa is always open and there’s no silly mistakes to make more drama.
If you like a story with meaning and some intensity I recommend this so much

ARE YOU READY TO BE “BOOPED” by Tulsa? Trust me, you will !!!
Tulsa Crow is the youngest brother to Jet and Rivers who we met in “Spark” , Drummer, Manwhore, Cocky, Arrogant, Hot, HOT HOT !!
Opening for the world renowned Rock Band, The Resistance, The Crow Brother’s dreams of being Rock Stars is finally coming to fruition. What Tulsa didn’t expect, was Nikki Faris, singer of the Band Ferris Wheel. Not only is she out of bounds because they are the Crow Brothers opener, her twin brother and cousin make up her band. Things might just get tricky on this tour!!!
OH how i devoured this story. Tulsa, even with his cockiness leaves you in a puddle of mush. Inside that man whorish exterior lies a heart and soul you just want to wrap up and keep. There is definite attraction between both Nikki and Tulsa, and i can tell you, the temperatures rise well above boiling point with the chemistry between them. This author sure knows how to deliver a story to break open your smiles, laughs and tears. I loved Nikki, although she has come through a terrible past, her strength of character and confidence captures you, and her vulnerable side makes you want to hug and protect her. Even though they are both advised to stay away from each other, OH MY LORD i am so happy Tulsa is such a rule breaker and Nikki is so fiesty. OH that man !!!! Jet Crow stole my heart in Spark and Tulsa Crow just about claimed me and ruined me!! Their path isn’t a smooth ride, but the relationships with this group just floors me and you forget this is a fictional book, because feel so much part of their world, their life, the ups and downs, and for me, when an author transports me so totally that i don’t want it to end, i know i’ve read something special !!!
3.5 stars!
The sexy youngest brother in this book is no stranger to woman. But when a forbidden love comes into the picture everything in Tulsas life changes. Loved this book and definitely will be going back to read the first book in the series, which I missed! Can’t wait for more books by SL Scott.
I’m a sucker for cocky drummers; I think my obsession stems from my love for Mal Ericson from Kylie Scott’s Dive Series. So, when S.L. Scott introduced readers to the Crow Brothers, I knew that the youngest brother, Tulsa, would be the one I would gravitate towards and want to know everything about because there’s just something about the musical rhythms that drummers make that perhaps provides some insight into these complicated musicians.
Tulsa Crow is the quintessential rock star…at least the part of himself that he allows people to see; he revels in the attention he receives, not only for his band’s music but for his hot body and sexy disposition. But the drummer who believes he’s God’s gift to both women and music has met his match in one soulful singer, which means that as much as Tulsa wants to get Nikki Faris underneath him, if he continues to be the walking stereotype for manwhore musicians, he’ll never know what kind of music they can make together.
Nikki is just the independent and stubborn woman to tame Tulsa’s impulsive behaviors, but that’s not something she can see herself doing, not only because it’s frowned upon to mix business with pleasure due to the fact that they’re both part of opening bands on The Resistance Tour, but also because she doesn’t see things working out for herself by getting in too deep with a guy who has never wanted anything lasting when it comes to the opposite sex.
Tulsa doesn’t follow the rules but starting anything with Nikki is not only ill advised, but it’s forbidden as well and the fact that their relationship has to be kept secret doesn’t bode well for any kind of solid foundation. But despite the fact that they both seem to know the score, their attraction to one another doesn’t seem to want to dissipate, which means that even though both Tulsa and Nikki are putting too much on the line, they can’t keep their hands off each other once they finally give into what’s been building between them for quite some time.
The interesting thing about what develops between Tulsa and Nikki is the fact that I would consider their relationship a slow burn, which is a bit ironic given Tulsa’s fast and easy attitude when it comes to the opposite sex; I thought it would just move on to the next girl when Nikki wouldn’t give into his charm, but I should have known that his initial reaction to her wasn’t anything like he’s experienced, which means that the length of his commitment to making Nikki his is not going to follow the same timeline as his earlier conquests.
The fact that members of The Resistance have cameos throughout Tulsa works really well, especially because the band has been in the business for quite some time and can pass on words of wisdom and advice, which makes it almost like they’re paying it forward, helping other up-and-coming bands make it big.
There are quite a few plot lines occurring at the same time in Tulsa, which definitely keeps readers on their toes; for some reason, I didn’t expect there to be suspense or twists and turns in the story, but that is exactly what S.L. Scott gives readers in the youngest Crow brother’s story. And, because she expertly merges all parts of the story line together, none of the events or situations seem out of place, which adds even more depth to the book.
Two Crow brothers down, which means Rivers’ story is the only one left and based on what his two brothers had to endure, it will be interesting to see what happens in his story…one thing is for sure, there’s plenty of passion, music, and camaraderie to come.
4.5 Poison Apples
SL Scott has quickly become one of my one-click authors. I love the stories she writes and she has such a range of things she writes, that all of the stories and worlds are so different! I love that!
With Tulsa, we are immersed in the rocker world. Tulsa Crow is a drummer with a body for sin and he knows how to use it and has no regrets about doing so. Until he meets Nikki. When he meets Nikki his world stops and the only person that exists to him is Nikki. Nikki is equally as smitten with Tulsa and after keeping away from him, she gives into temptation and her growing feelings for this rock-god.
Tulsa and Nikki’s romance burned hot and fast. I loved how these two gave themselves to completely to each other after only a short time together. It was obvious that this relationship meant so much more to them than anything they’ve previously had. Tulsa fell hard for Nikki and Nikki opened herself up for the first time in a long time.
I enjoyed this story. I didn’t get to read Jet’s story yet, but will definitely have to go back and do that. These Crow brothers are awesome and I’m excited for Rivers story! My only regret is I was really thinking there was going to be a big climax in the story and it wasn’t what I expected. Overall, such a great read.
We finally have the little Crow Brother’s story! And it’s one full or surprises!!!
Just like in Spark, we get to see a little of the gus from The Resistance and little glimpses of the others Crow Brothers.
We know Tusla is the womanizer and “less” responsible of them but also he has a big heart just waiting for the eight woman to give it to her. But it looks a little complicated now with all the fame he is getting with his new tour. He will grab attention he doesn’t want/need.
“And then she puts her hand on my bare chest, right over my heart, and I know it’s no longer mine, but hers.”
Nikki is living the dream with her brother and their cousin, opening for one of the biggest bands. She can’t risk not only her their but her bandmates’, not even for the sexy rockstar with a resistible smile and body.
The last thing they need is to get involved and ruin the tour for everybody but they are willing to take a risk, because after that has happened to them in the past when something good comes, they need to take it and hold it forever.
I loved Nikki and Tusla and everything they did to prove their love is one in a million and worth to fight for. The characters were all amazing and can’t wait for River’s story and more Crow Brothers and The Resistance.
TULSA is the youngest of the three Crow Brothers. When their mother had passed away unexpectedly. Jet Crow had taken responsibility for his two younger brothers: River and Tulsa, and he was only nineteen himself. The three Crow brothers made a very tight family together. Also they formed a Crow Brother’s Band. And regardless of all their early struggles were now enjoying the joy of fame and fortune.
TULSA was living the dream life. He was blessed with extremely good looks and took care to keep his body fit. They had made it big, cut a record deal, and were about to launch a concert tour with two other bands. At only twenty-three, life was more than good. Life was Great! Unfortunately, for him a reputation precedes him. It’s one he earned notch by notch, gig after gig. His brothers tried to warn him to be careful. The past has a way of catching up with the future.
TULSA thought he was just having fun. He was a rock star with a record burning up the charts. He was about to go on a sold out tour opening for one of the most famous bands in the world The Resistance. Tulsa still thought he was invincible to commitment and responsibility. Life could not get any better, but then he laid his eyes on her for the first time, and his life just changed forever.
NIKKI FARIS is an ex-beauty queen who can sing and play guitar better than most guys out there. She is the lead singer in the Faris Wheel Band along with band members that include her very protective twin brother and cousin. When Tulsa and Nikki are seated next to each other at the Outlaw’s dinner, the connection they both feel is life changing for them both. And if there is a thing as love at first sight, then they both felt the same way. Nikki has a troubled past with an possessive ex, and with Tulsa’s bad reputation, their future together is not looking very bright. They crashed into love without a safety net.
TULSA can be read as a standalone, but the first book SPARK is Jet Crow’s story. And you really want to read that book, too! Now I am anxiously waiting for the next book with River Crow’s story of lost love.
I am a huge fan of S.L. Scott and have read everything she has written in the last few years and have loved them all. And books like Tulsa is the reason why. She writes emotional, heartwarming, sexy and steamy stories that engage you from beginning to end. There is not a book of hers I have read I would not highly recommend.
The Crow Brothers Band has been signed with Outlaw Records and are now touring with The Resistance. Tulsa Crow, the drummer, is the youngest Crow brother and has a reputation of a playboy. The ladies swarm to him and he does not mind, except one. The one that could change everything. He was very cocky, but he was also a good man with a big heart.
Nikki Faris is the lead singer for the upcoming band, Faris Wheel. They have also been signed by Outlaw Records and part of the tour with The Crow Brothers Band and The Resistance. I liked how strong she was and not afraid to be her own person and full of sass. She definitely did not fall at Tulsa’s feet.
As the bands are touring together, everyone is warned about ensuring nothing messes with the tour. But chemistry like Tulsa and Nikki’s cannot be denied. When Tulsa and Nikki meet, they hit it off instantly. We saw Tulsa grow so much and loved watching Tulsa and Nikki fall. They made a great team, even as they struggled and grew together. I loved the chemistry between this couple and their banter and interactions.
I absolutely loved reading Tulsa. I was captivated by this rock star romance with twist and turns, in true S.L. Scott fashion. This was a sweet story that was engaging, funny and steamy with a bit of suspense. A must-read for all lovers of rock star romances. I am very excited to get Rivers story next!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
5 SEXY DRUMMER STARS!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TULSA! This man is my EVERYTHING, sexy drummer, fun, sweet and loving. Tulsa and Nikki’s story is phenomenal, with all the feels and some suspense, that will hook you on the first page. They have the perfect rock star relationship with fans and groupies. S.L. Scott has a #1 Hit with this book in my opinion, you definitely need to 1-click this one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I think this series of Crow brothers will be a series that people will love to re-read. It is because each brother has this canning ability to make ovaries explode with their actions and word. BUT Tulsa gets the cake for all of his swooning abilities.
Tulsa is one of those men that sits back and observes before he jumps right in. He is known for his wild ways and enjoying women. As he observes one of the opening acts for The Resistance, he is drawn to the lead singer Nikki Faris. As she leaves the stage and Tulsa is completely in awe of her beauty. Nikki Faris was at one time a beauty queen and now she is the lead singer in her families band Faris Wheel. Everyone around them has told them to stay clear and not to ruin the tour, they almost do but sometimes people are just destined.
What I love about Nikki and Tulsa’s relationship, they were very honest right in the beginning. They kept the lines of communication open; they didn’t have pretenses and what if’s constantly happening. I mean what girlfriend is going to be kind to your now boyfriends once one night stand? Oh I know, her name is Nikki Faris.

Fun and flirty were nicely balanced by deeper emotions
Having read the first book in the series (note you don’t need to have read the first book to enjoy this one), I was expecting Tulsa to be a bit of a flirt and player–which he was, at least to start–but he was much sweeter than I expected and quickly showed there was so much more depth there. I liked that Nikki was strong and talented in her own right, flirty and not afraid to go after what she wanted. I really loved the two of them together, not only that they were well matched in so many ways, but that they brought out the best in each other.
I’m still learning that this author doesn’t just tread the usual paths, and the storyline never went quite where I expected. Instead of artificial drama, the choices the characters made were sensible in the context of the story, and relationships grew naturally not only between Tulsa and Nikki, but with their families and the other band members.
A sweetly romantic story where fun and flirty were nicely balanced by deeper, and occasionally darker, emotions, I think I love Tulsa even more than I loved Jet. It’s awfully hard to choose between the two brothers though, and I bet that choice is just going to get tougher when Rivers gets added into the mix–I can’t wait! 5 stars
