A special 20th anniversary edition of the beloved international bestseller that changed millions of livesMaybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie … Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.
Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder. Wouldn’t you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger?
Mitch Albom had that second chance. He reconnected with Morrie in the last months of the older man’s life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final “class:” lessons in how to live.
Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie’s lasting gift with the world.

I read this book after others realized that I was suicidal. They called my therapist, I had a visit the next day, I got a two-week mental health leave from my job. This was the first book I read during that time off. This book reminded me that I wasn’t the only one – there were/are others like me in the world. Morrie and Mitch Albom helped save my …
First book I ever read by Mitch Albom. Read it years ago and was really moved by it. Yes, they made it into a pretty good movie. But, like most of you readers, I liked the book better.
One of the things I liked about the book was that I could put it down when I needed to.
Now that I think about it, it might be time to read it again and get a …
Given how popular Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom is, I’m surprised I only just read it this week. It’s been in my queue for years, but I never had a copy and for some reason, I just didn’t buy it. Earlier this year, I found a copy on my apartment building’s bookshelf, so I snatched it up and included it in my September TBR list. I enjoyed it …
This is great story and a quick read.
Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life’s Greatest Lesson is an eloquent memoir told with unbridled honesty.
When Mitch Albom hears that his favorite college professor, Morrie Schwartz, is dying from ALS, he feels compelled to visit his old friend. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a fatal, progressive nervous system …
A touching exploration of life and death, meaning and purpose, friendship and presence. Relational and emotive, you will grow to love Morrie.
I read this book in High School, oh so many years ago, but I remember it being heart-warming. A good read. I recommend this book to anyone. I may just have to read it again….LOL
Everything he writes is worth reading. Even if you aren’t into inspirational stories, I highly, highly recommend reading this and a few of his other works. I have read thousands of books in my life, but very few have ever made me tell myself “wow, I am a better person for having read that”. Albom’s books always make me say that.
This book was amazing! I absolutely loved it and cry every time I read it. This book has great lessons and I recommend that everyone read this book.
I read Mitch for years as one of our best sportswriters, and his novel about his friendship with a dying college professor is both funny and tragic…but always inspirational. Great read!
This book is nonfiction. However, it does not feel like nonfiction. That is one of the beauties of this book. Fiction-readers have no trouble picking this up. Yet, it shows that even in real life, people learn life lessons, as well as grasping a lot of other fiction concepts that we may perceive to be only fictional. This book is a book about life …
Let me acknowledge… the syntax and prose in this non-fic was exceptional to say the least. The heartfelt emotion, the promise of pending doom, the gentle cries for help from the author… it was all a bit overwhelming.
I read this in two evenings but will experience it for the rest of my life. FIVE earned stars!
You cannot help but be moved by this book. It is a gentle, and at the same time in-your-face, reminder of what really matters in life. Laugh, cry, smile.
This book can change your life. Take to heart the life lessons inside and you can’t help but have a more peaceful, fulfilling, and joyous journey. We all forget that life is fleeting, and it’s important to be reminded occasionally that we’d better refocus on the truly important things. Not only a recommended read, but a MUST read.
What a great book! I don’t know why it took me so long to get around to reading this one of Mitch Albom’s but I am so glad that I did. Morrie had such sage advice to living life right and being happy with that. Bless his heart! Don’t miss this book. It is SO good!
When someone asks me to recommend a book, THIS is one of them! Everyone should read this. It’s insightful and inspiring and written with great candor. This IS a life altering book to read.
A beautiful, well-written book. It is one of my favorite books of all time. Mitch Album did a wonderful job of capturing his enduring friendship with his professors. The flashbacks and contemporary event meld very well together. It’s a book that will definitely make you cry. I had to read it for a literature class. It remains one of the top reads …
