The Omnibus Edition of Tucker’s Way and *For Tucker*
After enduring a childhood of horrific abuse and crushing poverty, Tucker seeks refuge in her rural Tennessee home. The three grandchildren she is raising are her only connection to the outside, and her demeanor is purposefully rough. But her world is turned upside down when a new neighbor, Ella, moves into the old McDaniel place next door.
… the old McDaniel place next door.
Ella seeks solace on the same country road after overcoming cancer. Although she is Tucker’s peer agewise, she was raised in a world of privilege and opportunity. Still, Ella shares a tragic part of Tucker’s experience—she also suffered abuse. Hers was at the hands of her husband, a prominent judge in the community and Tucker’s sworn enemy.
When Tucker finds herself at risk of losing custody of her beloved youngest grandchild and worse, the child’s mother is murdered, she draws support and strength from her new friendship with Ella. These two women from disparate backgrounds form a fierce bond, and they weather life’s storms together with faith, love, and determination.

Great read!
The whole series is a must read!
This is one of the best series I have read. It shows how to love appreciate people for who they are, reguardless of social status, money, or material possessions. Also how horrible the rich entitlement that every town or community has, it shows how sick and the rich and powerful can be.
Tucker is a woman with a horrible childhood abuse and people misjudge her for her eccentric ways. It is about survival, strength, and finding friendship in the most unlikely places. A very powerful story
This was a very complex story with complex….well developed characters. There were moments I had to stop and come back to the story. It tears at your heart, it’s emotional and how you root for Tucker. I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series…..
Wow, after the first few pages of reading this book, I found that I was unable to put it down, and it was hard to wait until the release of the next book in the Tucker series!!!
Proof of how abuse, physical, sexual and mental ruin individual lives and lives of those around them.
The story of how people can change and overcome even their darkest moments.
Intriguing characters who catch attention from first page. A wonderful story of poverty, overcoming and love. Suspensful action. A real mwemorable story. I couldnt wIt to read the other books in the series.
haunting and disturbing story that’s so well written that I couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with the main characters.
This writer does an excellent job at keeping you interested in the book.
I am in the process of reading the entire series.
I laughed out loud during the first book! Cried throughout the second book! Wonderful series!
Well written and interesting characters. You feel like you know them!
It is a series of 5 books… just finished book 3. The story is sad but with so much hope. You fall in love with the characters.
Great book number one of five
Interesting multifaceted characters that appear real and tragic. Good take of friendship and acceptance. Good read, but almost a little forced in some of the monologue.
I listened to the audio version of this book, and then bought the audio of the rest of the series. I thought the characters were well-developed, and the resilience and strength of Tucker was remarkable. Though some of the occurrences in the book are heartbreaking, the themes of friendship, family and perseverance made it all worthwhile for me. I encourage readers to read the other books in the series — the end is so worth all of the tears you’ll shed. And I highly recommend the audio — the narrator (can’t remember the name) does a fantastic job!
