This is the first time I have read a book by Emily but I’m sure it won’t be my last. I love a good romance and this one is definitely that. Thanks Emily!
Tucker (Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas #2) by Emily March is another wonderful and sweet romance that has you wishing for Tucker to win Gillian from the beginning. This was another book by Miss March that I couldn’t put down and had to binge read until it was unfortunately over, but there was a happily ever after in the end. I do recommend to everyone!
I want to find a man who has Tucker’s patience. I also loved their meet-cute, and it was movie-like. I saw myself a little in Gillian. She isn’t good with her directions. I want to know more about the cousins and their friends. I loved the little life lessons that the Blessings shared. I love the small-town romances, but I have love-hate with small towns. Sometimes you can’t escape it. I did love the escape that Tucker & Gillian went on and the treasures they found.
ETERNITY SPRINGS: THE MCBRIDES OF TEXAS TUCKER by Emily March was the first book I’ve read by this author, and I loved it.
Gillian Thacker meets Tucker McBride after Gillian has a fight with her fiancé and storms off. She wrecks her car and is stranded on a backroad in Texas until Tucker comes along and gives her a ride.
It turns out Tucker has just left the military and is headed home to Redemption, Texas, the same place where Gillian lives and runs Bliss Bridal Salon with her mother. Even though Gillian is committed to her fiancé, she is attracted to Tucker. Over the next several months, Gillian and her fiancé continue to be at odds. Just weeks before the wedding, Gillian learns that her fiancé sold the building she’d planned on buying to Tucker. She’s devastated and calls off the wedding.
Tucker has bought the building to start a survivalist school, but he had no idea Gillian intended to buy it. When he learns she broke off her engagement, he pursues her. He’s had feelings for her since they day they met, but he stayed away because of the engagement.
Gillian has feelings for Tucker, but she doesn’t trust her feelings. She thought she loved her fiancé, but now she’s not so sure and she feels it’s too soon to date anyone new.
A few weeks later, Gillian’s college sorority sister comes into the shop looking for a wedding dress. Gillian learns she’s pregnant, and the father is her ex-fiancé. Devastated, she turns to Tucker begging him to get her away for the weekend. He takes her to Las Vegas. They get married and consummate the marriage.
They keep the marriage a secret, but continue their affair. Gillian believes her mother would be upset that her daughter got married in Vegas without her. She wants to keep seeing Tucker, but it has to be in secret. Tucker agrees, but he is determined to make it a real marriage because he’s fallen in love with her. It has a sweet happily-ever-after ending that is very satisfying.
I really enjoyed the book, but I felt like Gillian’s dream of becoming a wedding planner vanished when Tucker bought her building. I would have liked to have seen her find a new way to make that dream a reality, but that story line was just dropped. Even so, I really enjoyed the book.
Book boyfriend alert!
Tucker was amazing as the lead in this sweet, gentle romance. This author writes worlds that are so inviting with characters you can’t help but want to know… Tucker? Yeah, he’s at the top of that list.
Rescuing the damsel in distress was just one of the reasons Tucker flew to book boyfriend status. He was patient, loving and all the things Gillian needed. They met during a bump in her current relationship so when she was free months later Tucker was happy to help her once again. She resisted, how I am really not knowing, but through persistence and a whole lot of loving charm, Tucker was just there. Being all kinds of wonderful…
This was sweet with the only harshness coming from me when I wanted to shake Gillian on more than one occasion. I’m not dissing her, her feelings are her own, but being able to see Tucker’s point of view meant I knew just what she was missing…

Well now I’ll take a Tucker to go please. I liked that this book plays out over almost a year and not just a month like some books do. When Tucker and Gillian first meet neither is in a place to be with each other. Time moves on and things change which only makes Tucker happy. He is in love with Gillian at first sight. It takes Gillian long to trust herself to find that she truly loves Tucker. It was fun watching Tucker woo Gillian. I just wished she listened to herself more and didn’t doubt everything all the time. Another great book in this series. I look forward to reading Boone’s book.

Thanks go to the publishing and Net-Galley for the chance to read and review Tucker Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas by Emily March before publication. My opinions are my own, and no one has influenced them in any way.
I recently found Emily March’s Eternity Springs series, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I immediately snagged Tucker when I found it on Net-Galley. As with the other books, Tucker pulled me in from the first page and held me engaged until the last page. The pacing is steady and worked well for this story. I loved the McBrides in Texas as much as the characters in Eternity Springs.
Gillian Thacker’s character has a good deal of depth, making her a compelling character. She’s independent and wants her new business venture to succeed. I never liked her fiancée from the start, so I was glad when their engagement ended. I felt her anger and frustration over how it dissolved though.
Tucker McBride is a great hero with many facets to his character. He had a career as a U.S. Army Ranger and was smart enough to realize when it was time to leave. He still suffers from what happened while a ranger, but his determination to move beyond it is inspiring. Although attracted to Gillian, he keeps his distance until she breaks off her engagement. Then he pursues her, determined to win her heart.
I thoroughly enjoyed the romance between Gillian and Tucker. It’s clear from their first meeting they are perfect for each other. He’s so patient with Gillian and accepts she needs time to trust her feelings after her breakup. They captivated me, and I was so pleased they found their way to each other.
If you enjoy romance with a character-driven plot and touching base with past characters from the Eternity Springs series, then you will love Tucker as much as I did. While this can easily be read as a stand-alone novel, I encourage you to read Ms. March’s Eternity series. It’s amazing. Happy reading!
This book was a decent read. I enjoyed Emily’s writing and Tucker’s story. I felt a connection with Tucker and Gillian—felt they were real people. People I wouldn’t mind hanging with. Loved their chemistry and the secondary characters. Felt they were believable. I also loved the small-town feel of Eternity Springs and gin of Angelica.
My only drawback would be I felt the heroine was too indecisive and therefore—the story dragged more than it needed to.
All-in-all, a great read that I was lucky to receive from Emily March, and NetGalley.
One of the things that I like about Ms. March’s romances is that unlike most contemporary romances that seem to happen in warp speed, these are more realistic, allowing time for the couple to slowly meet and get to know each other before they realize that they are meant to be.
This is the second book in the Enchanted Canyon series, a spin off (or southern branch) of Eternity Springs. Tucker McBride, one of the three cousins who inherited Enchanted Canyon, has left the military. From when he was a little boy, he had wanted to be a soldier, and had been a Ranger for the last 10 years. But when he was promoted to a desk job in DC, he could not tolerate the Swamp and quit. Now he was spiritually lost and slowly was making his way to Redemption Texas when he comes across a damsel in distress. Gillian Thacker, usually the most prepared person, had a fight with her fiancee and found herself stranded on a little used road, when Tucker comes along on his motorcycle. She lives in Redemption and knows Jackson, Tucker’s cousin. And while Tucker is immediately attracted to Gillian, he has mending to do in the Canyon. A few months pass, Tucker is ready to rejoin the world and has decided, with the help of his cousins to start the Enchanted Canyon Wilderness School, and finding that all is not paradise in Gillian’s relationship with her fiancee, starts having thoughts about a possible future with a family of his own.
Along with the wonderful characters and engaging plot, the author includes wonderfully detailed descriptions of the scenery in Enchant Canyon and what goes on in the wedding dress business. Also a wonderful lesson on survival skills in the wilderness.
I read an ARC provided by NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Loved it!!!!
This book is the second in the series of the 3 McBride brothers, but is also attached to the whole Eternity Springs series. I really enjoyed Tucker and Gillian’s story. This was one of those books I didn’t want to put down. Their banter was very entertaining. I like the characters and the storyline moved along quickly. Looking forward to Boone’s story next, and eventually going back to read all of the Eternity Springs series
This is the second book in the Eternity Springs series. In this one, Gilliam owns and runs a local bridal salon with her mom. When she meets Tucker, sparks fly, but she tries to ignore them because she’s engaged to another man. As things fall apart in that relationship, she begins to wonder if Tucker would be better for her. Tucker also ignores the sparks and tries to get on with his life. Will they let the sparks fly again, or ignore the. And maybe their chance for happiness? This is another winner and I definitely recommend this book!
What a fun and enjoyable book! It kept me thoroughly entertained. I loved Tucker and Gillian (even though she could be her own worst enemy) and thought they were great together. I’m looking forward to more books in this series.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
Terrific book. This is the story of the second McBride cousin, Tucker. Though he originally planned to make the military his career, his most recent posting convinced him otherwise. Pushing papers was a pain, but what got to him most was the backstabbing, political vipers he had to deal with. So he pulled the plug but is now feeling a bit lost and unsure of what comes next. So he heads for Redemption and the land that he and his cousins own, looking for peace and inspiration. He did not expect to come across a damsel in distress along the way.
Gillian is having a bad day. After an argument with her fiancé over wedding plans, she compounds her problems by wrecking her car in the middle of nowhere. Undeterred, she hikes off in the direction of town, high heels and all. She doesn’t expect a knight on his trusty steed to come to her rescue.
I loved the first meeting between Gillian and Tucker. There are sparks, but Tucker doesn’t act on them because he’s an honorable guy, and she’s engaged. However, there is plenty of banter between them, and he pours on the flirty charm. Several months pass with Gillian and Tucker seeing each other occasionally, including on New Year’s Eve. The cracks in her relationship with Jeremy become more pronounced. The final betrayal comes when Jeremy, as the bank representative, sells a property that Gillian had plans for without telling her. I ached for Gillian but was happy that she finally saw Jeremy for the snake he was. What was most eye-opening for Gillian was the realization that she was less upset over the loss of Jeremy than she was the loss of the property and her dreams for it. To find out that it was Tucker who bought the property was an additional blow. I liked her face-off with him. Her enthusiasm for her plans made Tucker want her all the more. Now that she is no longer engaged, he is ready to go into pursuit mode.
I loved the development of the relationship between Tucker and Gillian. It was smooth, and it wasn’t easy, but it was beautiful. Tucker has a good understanding of Gillian from the beginning. When Gillian went into a deep funk over the end of her dreams, Tucker conspired with her mother to pull her out of it. I loved what they came up with, and it certainly did the trick. Gillian regained a bit of her spark, and Tucker makes sure she knows of his interest. But Gillian’s confidence in herself and her judgment is shot, and she is afraid to jump into a new relationship. I loved Tucker’s patience as he agrees to be friends while she works through it. They spend some time together over the next few weeks, growing closer, but with Gillian always keeping that bit of distance between them. I thoroughly enjoyed it when Tucker introduced Gillian to the joys of hiking. Her resistance was funny, and his cajoling was sweet. It’s so apparent that Tucker is head over heels for her, but Gillian can’t let go of her fears.
Things take a turn when the proof of Jeremy’s betrayal blindsides Gillian. I loved that she ran to Tucker, knowing in her heart that she could trust him. I loved how he took control of everything and gave Gillian the perfect escape experience. There ended up being more to the trip than planned, and though she was all-in at first, she freaked out the next day. I ached for Tucker, who thought that he had finally won his fair lady. His patience was incredible as he gave Gillian the time she wanted. I was frustrated with Gillian because she coasted along, not really giving the issue the time it deserved. I loved what finally opened her eyes and gave Gillian her confidence back. There were still some things to work out between them, but they talked them out with the result of coming out stronger on the other side. I loved that discussion and how it showed the changes they both experienced.
There was also a lead-in to the next book with Boone. I can’t wait to read it and see how he handles that unexpected complication to his life.
This is a new to me author and I am honestly not sure if I like her writing or not. I had a hard time getting into this book and I still can’t decide if it was me or the book itself. The book itself wasn’t exactly horrible or anything, it was just a bit boring to me. The hero, Tucker, is this former Army Ranger who is now in a desk job trying to figure out what he wants to do. Gillian is running a bridal shop with her mom and is engaged to a man and in my opinion treats her like crap. I think that might have been part of my problem with this one. She was with another man when she starts having feelings for Tucker. I don’t think I could get past that. On a whole, it isn’t bad. It was just kinda, boring.
Thank you St. Martins Press for an advanced copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Eternity Springs:
The McBrides Of Texas #2
Tucker
By: Emily March
*REVIEW*
Having read the previous book, Jackson, and loved it, I was so excited when I received a copy of Tucker. Emily March did not disappoint in her latest installment of The McBrides Of Texas. Tucker is newly discharged and rambling the Texas back roads on his motorcycle when he meets Gillian. She is a damsel in distress, and she ends up on the back of the motorcycle. As it turns out, they are both headed to Redemption. Gillian is engaged, but it’s not solid. Tucker is finding his way after military life. Both are a bit lost, and they felt the spark when they met. Gillian really has a hard time of it, but she perseveres, carrying on despite the heartbreak. Tucker begins to truly understand what he wants his life to be going forward, and he takes steps to make things happen. I love these characters and admire their fighting spirit. I was rooting for them from the beginning. Redemption is the kind of place that can mysteriously show you the way, as it does for Tucker and Gillian. This story was a delightful read full of romance, warmth, laughter and charm. I highly recommend for romance readers!
There is something about an Emily March’s book that is so cozy and comforting! I liked this charming contemporary tale of unexpected romantic connection. This author has an amazing ability of creating not just characters or plot lines but communities and extended families.
This series is a spin-off of the Eternity Springs series. It is set in Redemption, a small town in Texas, where the McBride cousins, Jackson, Tucker and Boone have inherited a beautiful canyon.
Tucker McBride and Gillian Thacker meet by total accident. There is definitely sparks and interest between them right from their first meeting. They both have wounds from their pasts and issues that need dealing with. Gillian’s heart has been battered by her cheating fiancé. Tucker is a former Army Ranger and is at a crossroads in his life. He has left the military to start a new life and is trying to figure out how to put his life back together.
The premise of their story and the questions about their pasts and future were more than enough to keep me turning the pages. These characters were very down to earth, relatable and realistic.
It is easy to see Tucker and Gillian are perfect for each other from the beginning. Tucker is beyond romantic in letting Gillian figure out their relationship steps. She sets boundaries and he sticks to them. These two worked so well together. They complimented each other. But though they are strongly attracted to each other, they each have their own issues to overcome.
Overall, this book is a well written heartwarming, lovely story of new beginnings and emotional healing, with a great cast of secondary characters. It hit all my emotional buttons. I look forward to reading more of Emily March’s work in the future.
Eternity Springs-The McBrides-Tucker by Emily March
Book 2
Walking down the road in red with sky-high-high-heels without a clue to location or how to get home, Gillian Thacker keeps moving forward. Tucker McBride, recently free from military commitment is on that road, sees the woman in red, realizes she needs help and stops to…help.
And thinking that was the hook, and it was, I had to WAIT because the two were not destined to move on from rescued maiden to happily ever after immediately. Nope, they had to deal with a pesky fiance that was a no good low down rather useless waste of space guy that should have been dropped by Gillian MUCH earlier. Again…Nope…I had to wait. I think Tucker knew he was attracted but he was still dealing with a bit of detritus from his past and being a good guy that did not poach, well, the moving on together thing had to wait.
What I liked:
* Tucker: what a wonderful man this one was! Smart, rugged, focused, ready to settle down, opening up a new business, a great friend, wonderful with family, all that a woman could ask for…and so much more
* Gillian: a bit of an emotional mess but working to improve. Her sense of trust (of self and others) shaken and unwilling to believe in herself. I liked her but at times wanted to shake her and say…”wake up”…glad she did…eventually.
* Hints of previous characters in book in this and related series. Made me want to find those books and reread them again
* The S.U.R.V.I.V.A.L. and L.I.V.I.N.G. acronym portions and how they helped Gillian cope and grow
* Haley’s porti.on with Tucker
* The cave…what fun and what an impact it made on the story…along with the whole survival thing
* Boone’s situation – kind of curious how that will work out for him as he deals with whether or not to be the guardian of a child and how that will impact his life and how he will find hit partner.
* The play on words that cropped up here and there and mad me think while also making me smile
*The significance and power of red
* Just about everything except..
What I did not like:
* Jeremy: bottom feeder, user, cheater, etc – not worthy of licking Gillian’s boots
* Gillian’s dithering, insecurity and inability to trust her ability to truly know her feelings
* The bridezillas
Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely
Thank you to Net Gally and St. Martin’s Paperbacks for the ARC – This is my honest review.
4.5 Stars
This is a charming romance set in a town that is a vision of what we all would like to live in, Redemption, Texas. The characters in this town were funny, realistic and at times markedly boisterous in their beliefs. Tucker McBride has come back home after serving as a U.S. Army Ranger. He has a plan to use his skills to set up a wilderness training school. Setting up his shop next to Gillian Thacker’s Bridal Bliss boutique, Tucker is immediately taken by the boldness of this young woman. The conflict comes when both want to use the same space in the small town. Although this is part of a series, I can attest to the fact that it can be easily read as a standalone since I have not read any of the other books myself. My favorite character was Tucker, a strong protagonist with strong beliefs about his own talents and what he wants from life. The theme seemed to be the importance of family and learning to trust others after being burned. I thoroughly enjoyed my first glimpse into the lives of the McBrides and will search out the other books in the series to check out their heroes. Fans of clean, light romance will enjoy this book.

This is a fantastic series of romances set in Eternity Springs, Texas. I love the characters that live in this area. Each of the McBride cousins are wonderful. Gillian and Tucker are both wonderful. They are both survivors. I loved the scenes where they are learning to survive if something bad happens. Great story. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
