I have to say that I have been reading a lot of MC Romance and when I took the time to read this book I was blown away by it. I loved every minute of it and I love the two main characters Gillian and Tucker.
Gillian owns her own Bridal Salon and she loves her job. She loves doing weddings. That is until it comes to her and her life. Then we get to meet Tucker McBride who was a U.S. Army Ranger. Now that his days of being a ranger are over he opened up a wilderness skills training school right next to Gillian’s shop.
When the two meet their is electricity there that sparks but Tucker knows he is in for the fight of his life if he thinks he is just going to win over Gillian. Who will win in this war of love….. will it be Gillian as friends or Tucker as husband and wife?
was offered an advanced copy of this book from the publisher based on others that I had read in the past. This is the first book I’ve read by this author.
This is the story of Gillian and Tucker. The book starts out a little slow but it has some surprises in store for the reader because Gillian just can’t seem to catch a break. In the end of course she gets her HEA and learns to trust the choices she makes.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I have only read Jackson from the rest of the series and they sound wonderful. Jackson was great. Now you really don’t have to read Jackson to read this one (even though the characters are interwoven). I would highly recommend it though as it was a wonderful book.
Oh Tucker stole my heart from reading Jackson (what can I say, I LOVE military men!!!!) Tucker left the military and returned to Texas. From Jackson’s book, we learned that Jackson, Tucker and Boone inherited some land from an aunt. He rescues Gillian when she wrecks her small SUV to avoid a wild pig. Gillian runs a bridal boutique with her Mother. Gillian is engaged to another man. They have a fight and she leaves to return home. Tucker is attracted to Gillian right from the beginning.
These two have several hurdles to overcome, mainly the fiance. The author really made these two work for their HEA. When Gillian becomes single again, she carries a heavy burden of self-doubt. She is attracted to Tucker but she is worried after just coming from a heavy break-up. Because this book is written in a dual POV format, you can really get that glimpse into Gillian’s dilemma. She knows that she has to overcome the break-up to get to the other side (basically so Tucker is NOT the rebound guy!).
I adored this story! I personally give this 20 gold stars. The story was so well written. It was like I was right there in the middle of the story. There are some kissing scenes and after that it is faded to the next day or hours later. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone. I could see myself reading and re-reading this story again and again.
“Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas – Tucker” by Emily March was a sweet, enjoyable story that reads as a complete standalone despite being the seventeenth book in the Eternity Springs series, as well as the second book of a spinoff trilogy featuring the three McBride cousins of Texas, who are distant relations of the Callahan family featured in a number of Ms. March’s previous novels. Longtime fans of the series will enjoy the opportunity to check in with a few of their favorite characters from past stories, but new readers will not feel lost at all by starting here.
I found the lead characters of this novel, Gillian Thacker and Tucker McBride, to be very likeable and relatable. At first, Tucker seemed a bit rough around the edges after so many years spent in the military, but he had a good heart and always tried to do the right thing. He was a good friend to Gillian when her engagement to Jeremy ended, and I appreciated how patient he was with her while she mourned the loss of the life she thought she’d have. Gillian was not at all an outdoorsy person, but it was fun to watch her step outside her comfort zone and learn survival skills in Tucker’s class. I particularly enjoyed the way she applied those lessons to her daily life and used them to overcome her fear of starting a new romance with Tucker.
Overall, “Tucker” was excellent addition to the Eternity Springs series, and I look forward to the next book featuring Tucker’s cousin Boone. I’ve liked Boone since he was first introduced several books ago, and the secrets he shared with Tucker in this story only made me more excited to get to know him better!

I really loved Tucker’s character. He was the perfect hero, and I loved his playful, fun side that led to entertaining banter with Gillian. I just wish Gillian’s self-doubt hadn’t lasted throughout the entire story and that she would have treated Tucker better. This is the first book that I’ve read by Emily March and I look forward to reading Boone’s story next.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley.
Tucker McBride rescues a beautiful damsel in distress. After all he’s a good guy. He finds it hard to forget Gillian Thacker. She knows his cousins and owns Bliss Bridal Salon in Redemption Texas. Unfortunately she’s engaged to be married. Tucker decides to stay in Redemption and start a survival school. By coincidence it’s next door to Gillian’s business. When her wedding is canceled, Tucker decides to mount his campaign to win Gillian’s love. It’s a wild ride. Tucker is ex-military and comfortable in the wild. I like that he’s honorable and patient. He won’t pressure Gillian. I know that she’s hurting after her ex-fiancée cheats on her. With her confidence in her judgement shattered I understood her reluctance to jump into another relationship, but seeing these two together I knew that they were destined for a future. I laughed at her outdoor experiences. Their romance was a wild, wonderful ride. I couldn’t put this book down. Emily March wrote a great story. The characters are interesting with their passion and snarky dialogue. I can’t wait for more stories about this extended family.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
I loved the wonderful characters! I loved the story line! Basically, I loved every single thing of this book. Typical of Emily March, it sucked me completely before I finished the 1st page. Everything else was put on hold until I finished the story. Her detail to character development, describing the scenes without over doing it and witty humor, has always been amazing. I loved it!
What an amazing story set in the beautiful state of Texas. Great story with wonderful secondary characters. While I have not read the other books in this series I was not lost and I could not put the book down.
Thank you NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for allowing me to read and review
Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas—Tucker is the 18th novel in Emily March’s Eternity Springs books. The story begins when Tucker McBride, cousin to Jackson and Boone, had recently separated from his Army Ranger service at the Pentagon. At lost ends, he returns to the family in Redemption, Texas. To get his bearings, Tucker retreats to Enchanted Canyon and the wilderness that calms his soul. Finding himself in the great outdoors, his cousins quickly convince him to open a wilderness school.
Gillian Thacker’s family is an old Redemption family. She and her mother, Barbara, are partners in Bliss Bridal Salon. The salon has quite a following with brides coming from all over for their dream gowns. Gillian has the dream to expand the business into wedding planning and has her eye on a building across the common area from her shop that has sat empty for years. Sparks fly when Tucker buys the building for his school and Gillian learns it was her fiancée, soon to be ex, that enabled the deal.
In an unlikely alliance, Tucker and Gillian find themselves thrown together in a variety of circumstances. Through thick and thin, this may be a blissful blessing for the unlikely pair. This is a very interesting, entwined tale from an iconic series and I did enjoy this book!
I really like Emily March’s Eternity Springs series with the sexy McBride cousins of Texas and this book about Tucker did not disappoint me. I loved reading about Tucker and how he was trying to find a new life for himself outside of the army that had been his career. I also really enjoyed how Tucker first met Gillian Thacker in her red dress. It was funny, although not for Gillian.
I enjoyed the wedding of Caroline and Jackson who were featured in the previous book and I was so glad that Angelica and Celeste showed up in this book with their words of wisdom which were much needed by Tucker and Gillian. I was so glad that Gillian could finally move on from her ex-fiance, Jeremy too. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Gillian Thacker has hit a major speed bump. Things haven’t been quite right between Gillian and her fiancé, Jeremy. Imagine her surprise when she discovers he has outmaneuvered her on a business deal and is having a baby with her sorority sister?
Former U.S. Army Ranger Tucker McBride is newly retired from the military. He’s travelling to Redemption, Texas to set up a wilderness survival school with his cousins Jackson and Boone McBride. Sparks fly when Tucker and Gillian meet – he doesn’t act on his feelings because she’s engaged.
Emily March creates wonderful characters in the Eternity Springs series. Tucker is no exception. He’s charming, honest, loving and has a good heart. I loved that Tucker used strategies from his military training to pursue Gillian. Loved that he knew Gillian needed to get over the broken engagement—but, put his plan into action anyway!!
Loved the scene when Tucker uses his field glasses to spy on Gillian. Tucker believes that Gillian needs cheering up. He talks to her mother about cross promoting the display windows of her bridal shop with his wilderness skills store—think camouflage wedding dress, garter belt and hiking boots. Tucker is so pleased with his mission as he annoyed Gillian!
The chemistry between Tucker and Gillian was amazing and drew me into the story immediately. It was great fun to read how they were going act on their attraction. Loved, loved the humor in this romance! The conversations between Gillian and Tucker were awesome! Loved the back and for the banter and Tucker’s flirting. The epilogue was fabulous-Emily March gives Gillian her heart’s desire!
Emily March’s newest Eternity Springs novel is filled with passion, laughter and love! If you enjoy novels by Robyn Carr, Samantha Chase and Kristan Higgins—you will adore Tucker.
This is the seventeenth book in in The Mcbrides of Texas series. Tucker and Gillian were great characters. Tucker was sweet, kind and level headed. Gillian was a mess but, together they were another great couple in this wonderful series. I loved catching up with some of the characters from previous books and I can’t wait to read what happens next.
Eternity Springs: McBrides of Texas: Tucker by Emily March has Tucker McBride leaving the army. He is heading to Redemption, Texas for a time of healing and decide what he wants to do with his future. Along the way, he encounters Gillian Thacker walking along a back road. Gillian had a fight with her fiancé, Jeremy and took off without thinking. The pair share an intense moment before Gillian returns to Jeremy. Three months later, Tucker is opening wilderness skills training school in the building next to Bliss Bridal owned by Gillian and her mother, Barbara. It turns out it was the building Gillian intended to buy for her new venture, Bliss Events. Sparks fly between the pair much to Tucker’s delight. He has his sights set on Gillian, now he just needs to convince her. Tucker is a cute story. I liked the characters (well, most of them—Jeremy and an old frenemy of Gillian’s leave a lot to be desired) and the lovely setting of Redemption, Texas. Tucker McBride is handsome, kind, good hearted man who is a keeper. I like how he helps his niece, Haley who is going through a tough time. Gillian did get on my nerves a few times, but that made her real. I enjoyed the beautiful descriptions of Enchanted Canyon. I can understand why it is a place to unwind, get peace and heal. There were definite sparks between Gillian and Tucker (it is a wonder they did not set paper on fire). I like the survival skills fit into the story as well as the color red. I do want to let readers know that there is foul language in the story along with intimate situations (and thoughts). Those who read Jackson’s tale will be happy to know that him and his fiancé, Caroline are in the book. Gillian is one of Caroline’s bridesmaids. I enjoyed the humor in the story, and I had to laugh at the dress Tucker had Barbara create for the display window. Tucker can be on as a standalone. I had no trouble following the story. Tucker is a relaxing story to read and it will delight those who love romance tales.
Tucker one of the McBride cousins from Texas has decided that his career in the military is not to be as a “Lifer”. He heads back to Redemption, Texas and of course visits Eternity Springs. We revisit characters we’ve met before and enjoyed.
We meet “new” <3 able and NOT so likeable characters.
Emily March again delivers an enjoyable 'page-turner'. Tucker's S.U.R.V.I.V.A.L.
School may have some lessons along the way for the reader as well as the 'attendees'. "Tucker" is DEFINITELY worth reading.
“Tucker” (Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas Book 2) by Emily March is a fantastic read. I loved Tucker and Gillian’s story. This is a wonderful addition to the series. This story is packed with romance, passion, humor, drama, entertaining characters, family, friends, and more. I can not wait to see what happens next with this wonderful cast of characters. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, entertaining characters, family, and series.
4 stars
Gillian and her mother own a bridal shop in their small town. Gillian is engaged and she plans to open an event company with her husband to be. Tucker is a former Army Ranger and has moved back to town. He finds Gillian beside the road after she breaks down. Tucker isn’t for sure what he wants to do so he just sort of mopes around. He likes Gillian but since she’s taken, he has to be happy to be her friend. Tucker and his cousins decide to open a survival school and Tucker will teach at it. The building they buy is the one Gillian wanted for her company. When she finds out her fiancé sold it, they break up. Now Tucker comes up with a plan to win the woman but will she trust her feelings and let go?
Good story. Romantic. Humorous. I think Gillian did put the planning of the wedding ahead of her fiancé.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
Tucker is a fabulous contemporary romance by Emily March. Ms. March has once again provided readers with a well-written, smooth read. My favorite part of this book is the characters, kudos to Ms. March for such a wonderful cast. Gillian is stranded after a fight with her fiance and a mishap with her car. Tucker is no longer military and has to decide what he wants to do. Tucker and Gillian’s story is fun and twisted, loaded with drama, humor, spice and secrets. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to my next book by Emily March. Tucker is book 2 of The McBrides of Texas Series and book 17 of the Eternity Springs Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I absolutely loved this book. Read it in one day and still wanted more ! I rooted for Tucker from the beginning chapters. Gillian was quite the firecracker but blind to what she was allowing with Jeremy. So happy that Tucker helped to push thru everything she had to go through. That man stuck by her from day one and was the kind of man she needed.
Loved the characters. Loved the story. Was a great and easy read, you didn’t want to end. I cannot wait to read the rest in this series. I’ve been missing out. Highly recommend this book, series and this Author Emily March!!!
I loved this book! I have enjoyed all of the Eternity Springs books, and the Brazos Bend books, and I love how this trilogy brings them all together! Gillian and Tucker are wonderful characters – there’s lots of chemistry, great family and friends, a frenemy or two, a cheating ex, a couple of loving dogs, plenty of emotion, and love! I look forward to reuniting with these characters when Boone’s book comes out!
If there’s any book world I would give up everything I own in to order to live there, March’s Eternity Springs is that world. Truly, I didn’t think there could be anything better than Eternity Springs, but this spin-off series in the tiny Texas town of Redemption, just a short distance from the Enchanted Canyon, certainly holds its own. It has the handsome McBride cousins, so yes please, and Angelica, the Fallen Angel Inn’s proprietor, is the cousin of Celeste Blessings, the heart and soul of Eternity Springs.
It all starts with Gillian Thacker getting into a fight with her fiancé, storming off in a huff, and ending up stranded on the side of the road on a hot summer day. Tucker McBride has just left the Army Rangers and hasn’t decided which direction to go, both literally and figuratively, but when he spots Gillian walking down the road, he can’t help but offer his assistance.
Tucker might like what he sees, and the more he gets to know Gillian, the deeper he falls, but there’s still that little matter of a fiancé in the picture, and Tucker definitely doesn’t poach. As you can imagine, Gillian is conflicted and, even after her breakup, she needs time to learn who she is without a regular plus one and to figure out what she wants in life.
This one has a little of everything, from bridezillas, mean girls and a smarmy anti-hero to survivalist training. And then there’s Angelica. She may have the same ability to “see” things, like Celeste, and although her words of wisdom may be just as ambiguous as Celeste’s when you’re on the receiving end, her delivery is much more outspoken and blunt.
Tucker and Gillian are masters of the slow burn, and I do mean sloooow. The way the writer portrays the relationship had me on the edge of my seat and devouring every word. She breathes life into complex, endearing characters who have a lot of baggage, broken hearts, and damaged souls, who are both in need of healing. “Where troubled souls find peace” is in the Enchanted Canyon — in its beautiful, majestic backdrop, the quietness of nature and the magic it works on those who need it.
Do yourself a favor. Read Tucker and Gillian’s story and see if the canyon can work its healing magic on your soul, too. While we can’t physically go to Eternity Springs or the Enchanted Canyon, they can come to us through this writer’s profound, poignant, stirring words. Once you’ve visited either place, it will live on forever in your heart, and you’ll be eagerly anticipating your next visit.
