Ajei “My Heart” Yazzie is a seventeen-year-old girl with the spirit of a dove and the heart of a lion. She’s not had an easy life, growing up without a father and losing her mother when she was barely in her teens. Her aunt and uncle took her in however, and she’s lived with their family and her grandmother on the Navajo Nation in Phoenix ever since.Aunt Lena is kind and loving, Uncle … Malcolm…slightly intimidating, but Ajei does her best to stay out of his way and things are fine…for a while.
A beautiful, sunny day, a horse, and a swimming pond will be the background of the horror that will change Ajei and her life forever.
But as it often does, goodness grows out of the ashes of darkness and Ajei’s light comes from a young man named Tse “Rock” Tsosie.
Rock risks his young life to save hers and that’s where their love story begins. It will span decades, highways, mountains and valleys and endure pain while celebrating joy.
Their biggest struggle will come in the form of what they’ve created together, and with the best intentions, just might destroy.
Follow Ajei and Tse on their trek across America and their journey into adulthood. Ride with Rock on his proudly restored Indian motorcycle or Ajei on the Harley Davidson the love of her life bought for her and taught her how to ride.
They’ll be wearing the colors of the Tarantulas MC out of Tempe Arizona while they navigate that fine line that weaves in and out between darkness and light.

We loved getting to know more about Rock and Ajei.
This couple’s life was filled with love, happiness, hardships, regrets, and pain but, through it all they had this amazing relationship full of love and respect and freedom and always treating your women as your equal.
I loved this couple, as their love for one another seemed to know no bounds. I loved the fact that both Rock and Ajei loved with one’s whole heart. This couple were perfect for one another as they both wanted the freedom to see the world and be free to travel and enjoy life where ever their rides were to take them and seemed to be just one the other needed in all ways.
I loved Ajei as she was smart and loving caring and also cunning, we loved her sassiness and her laughter but, we also loved that she was a strong independent woman who was resilient when she needed to be but, loved being taken care of by her man as well.
We loved Rock’s character, as we love the way he loved his women in all ways. We loved that she came first, and he always cared for her with love and affection. I loved their love story that was full of passion and love and that they were lucky enough to find their soulmate. We loved being on the journey as their love story was a bit unconventional but, it was perfect for them. The story was filled with ups and downs but, their amazing love for one another saw them through it all. The couple had amazing chemistry, and they sizzled together which in turn lead to a lot of hot and sexy scenes as the couple could never get enough of one another and as the years progressed they always seem to remain the same in that aspect.
Overall we really enjoyed being on Rock and Ajei’s journey together as we are looking forward to seeing them again in future books. We also loved seeing some of our favorites grace the pages like Dallas, Doc, Coyote, and we loved seeing Hawk in a whole different light even if it was only a one off. We really enjoyed a love story that could stand the test of time!
I’ve read many of the books in the Skulls MC romance series but The Early Years series is my favorite. Tse (aka Rock) and Ajei fall in love as teenagers. IMO this is a fantastic love story between two native american individuals. It’s a deep, abiding love that stands the test of heartaches, tears and danger through the years. Tse is a strong, protective man who always puts Ajei first. Ajei is a strong woman who becomes his partner 100% in both their personal lives and in his club dealings. This is a book I could read again, more than once. It could be read as a stand alone.
When Rock saves Ajei it is an event that changes both of their lives. This story follows along the years of their life and how they both struggle against the MC life. I love how strong Ajei was through out it all. I loved how Rock was with Ajei but he seems to lose his way for a time, but it was the love they shared that was so amazing to read. Highly recommend this book and series.
I enjoyed this story as this gave me a look into the pasts of Ajei and Tse. These two had a strong connection and were willing to do whatever they could for each other. The beginning of their story was rather gritty, but their love surpassed the bad. This story was full of love, family, pain, steamy scenes, and happiness.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
