If you liked The Dominator you’ll want to read the story of Dario Ferrano falling in love. This is a mafia romance. Reading book one before reading this book is highly recommended. Want more Ferrano alpha male hotness? Get to know Dario a whole lot better in this continuation story about the Ferrano family.Dario is Tommy’s younger brother and after seeing his brother fall in love Dare’s new motto … in love Dare’s new motto is MAN WHORE NO MORE! Dare wants his happily ever after.
But after Dare comes home from his brother’s wedding and celebrates his 25th birthday he gets a posthumous gift from his father, one that’ll change the course of his life.
***
Before my father died he arranged for my brother to get married, gifted him with a girl. After I saw the impact of that girl on my brother’s life I joked with him that I wanted a mail-order bride for my upcoming birthday, joked about it with emotions about my now sister-in-law that I should not EVER have been feeling.
My father joked back that he was already shopping around and would find me a perfect fit. At least I’d thought he’d been joking. But when I got home from my brother’s wedding I found out that before Pop died he had gotten that ball rolling. He’d gotten things rolling in a way that could not be stopped and that was going to be a problem. A messy problem.
See, my Pop was deeply involved in a human trafficking ring, one of the many involvements he’d neglected to tell me and my brother about as he prepared us to take over the family business. We never knew that what he’d had in mind for us was just the top skim off a cesspool of filth he’d been too happy to be wading in. We had suspicions but we had no clue just how filthy it truly was.
A little less than two months before my birthday he had asked me what I wanted in a bride.
“What’s on your wish list, son?” Pop asked.
“Beautiful. Redhead. But she has to want what I want from life. She has to have an insatiable sexual appetite but want kids and a picket fence, too.”
“How about if she’s all those things because she does exactly what you tell her to do? How about if she’s been schooled in all the ways to please a man in and out of the bedroom?”
“That’s too good to be true, Pop. Too bad such a woman does not exist.” I’d laughed it off and our conversation got cut short.
I’d always wanted a wife and kids. I wanted the picket fence and enough kids to start my own soccer team. But when I caught my fiancée cheating on me with the DJ we’d hired for our wedding my heart went cold and what my sister dubbed my ‘man whore years’ began.
After seeing Tommy’s life change because of falling in love I decided that maybe it was time to open my mind up to the possibilities of connecting with someone again beyond a one night stand. But when I got home from my brother’s wedding, ready to start the massive job of cleaning up the family business so that I could move on with my life and think about finding my own happily ever after I found out that Pop had already ordered my mail order bride. And I couldn’t cancel that order.
She’s waiting for me to pick her up near Bangkok. She’s been told she has been sold and is going back to North America. She’s about to turn 23, she’s a beautiful redhead, and she’s been in captivity for 2 years. There’s no way I can accept this gift, keep a woman who was bought for me. I need to pick her up and set her free. Don’t I?
Warning:
Explicit sex scenes. Profanity. Dark themes.
This book’s heroine is a sex slave that gets rescued. She’s broken. The book does not spend chapter after chapter describing her abuse in detail but there is some explicit content related to her memories.
Please read DD Prince’s The Dominator before reading this book.

“He was unpredictable and to me, that meant he was even more dangerous than I’d even realized because I didn’t know what to expect next from him.”
When you are warned this is a dark series take that warning as the truth. At times I’m thinking what in the world am I reading? At times I was wanting revenge, feeling fearful, teary eyed and fanning myself. This book has so many twist and turns, connections, mystery and emotions that will consume you.
“Any privilege or comfort you get is because I allow it. I can take it away. All of it.”
This book hits on some serious subjects that can be a trigger for you when reading. There are intense scenes about very deep emotional subjects of abuse and violence that may be hard to read. I’m glad I powered through. I like how it comes together at the end regarding some of the serious subjects.
“I need you to be strong. Don’t let me break you. Please don’t let me break you.”
Some characters that I originally wasn’t as fond of become some of my favorites as the series continued. Once learning backstories and seeing what drives their passion and their fears makes you embrace them even more.
“He was changing, right? Was he? Or, had I just changed to accommodate him?
The second book in D.D. Prince’s Dominator series, Truth and Dare was a delight to read.
The story carries on immediately after the events of Book one.
With Tommy and Tia over in Costa Rica, while the dust settles and Tommy’s Younger brother Dario, Dare to his friends, handling and sorting out the family’s business options back home.
Truth and Dare is mainly Dare’s tale but with a sprinkling of the rest of the clan as we are kept up to date with this on-going saga.
Getting immersed in the everyday dealings of their father. Dare discovers that pops has obtained him a gift.
Like his brother Tommy, Dare is to get a wife, but not just any wife a trained Kruna slave.
and shes already been picked out for him.
This second book in this fabulous series has a slightly different flavour than the first instalment.
I would say that Dare like his brother while possessive and hardened by the lifestyle has a much lighter personality. Don’t get me wrong he is still prepared to do whatever it takes to protect his nearest and dearest, he just seems to have a more gentle approach to the whole courtship than his hard-faced brother.
So when Dare acquires His Angel from Kruna he has no intention of keeping her.
But all the best-laid plans go to waste, don’t they.
This story was ever so sweet in places, the way Dare cares for his Broken bird, his Angel, just wanting her to fix her and help make her whole again.
It was just so heartfelt and charming.
He was practically a prince compared to his Dark Devil of a Bro.
I also liked the way the rest of the family were woven into this book especially Tommy and Tia.
Was great to revisit with them, was fabulous to see Tommy trying to deal with some of his issues.
After devouring The Dominator and Truth or Dare again, I am now oh so ready to sink my teeth into Unbound.
Oh Boy, am I ready!!!
This series is so wonderfully written and such an epic page turner.
I don’t think theirs anything D.D. Prince has written that I haven’t loved and devoured with great gusto.
This lady is definitely an auto-buy for me.
This is one of my all time favorite books! Dario (Dare) is the ultimate book boyfriend. He is sexy as heck, kind, fierce, loyal, protective, strong and did I mention sexy as heck? The first moment I read him, I wanted him as my very own. My love for him only grew when he met Angel and knew exactly what she needed to fight her demons. I want to live within the world of The Dominator forever.
I think the writer D.D. Prince really did her best to inform the reader about this book. There’s nothing more that she could have said, I was totally prepared for it.
So yes, this is a dark mafia book that revolves around sex slavery, but I, personally found that the writer wrote in such a way that it was indeed emotionally to read but still bearable. I think that D.D. Prince did a fantastic job of writing about such a dark theme. Felicia (or Angel like she wants to be called) has been a sex slave for 22 months, so you know that the story won’t be easy but I can say that because she’s promised to Dare, she’s kept separated from the other sex slaves and this is where the book starts, so maybe that’s good to know before starting reading this book.
‘Truth or dare’ is the second book in ‘The dominator’ series and I would really recommend that you read the first book in this series before reading this one. And if you loved ‘The dominator’ then I can promise you that you will love this book too.
When you read a series and the series starts with the dominant older brother, you think that the next book and the younger brother never can’t be better than the first one but I just fell in love with Dare. He was so much more then I had hope for!! Although both brothers didn’t had a strong bond with their father, they do have a strong bond with each other. And in this book we don’t only read about Dare and Angel but also about Tommy and Tia. I can honestly say that I liked this book even more than the first one.
Most people think that Dare’s the soft one. This because he’s the younger brother and with his oldest brother Tommy being so dominant and hard, it’s understandable that people would think that but they’re wrong. But now with his brother Tommy away on his ‘honeymoon’, it’s time for Dare to show the world what he’s capable of. The only thing he didn’t count on was the fact that even from his grave his father would interfere with his personal life. On his 25th birthday Dare discovers that his father had ordered a bride for him. A woman that’s perfect from him, because as a sex slave she was trained to be that. Just perfect for her master. This gift from his father is the last thing that Dare wants or needs right now. But the men who own the place in Bangkok are very, very dangerous. Not accepting his gift wouldn’t only mean war but would also mean that the girl would spend the rest of her life in that horribly place. So Dare goes to Bangkok, to check the place and the people there out and to rescue the girl. He only never expected to fall for her.
Felicia (or Angel like Dare calls her) has been a sex slave for more than 22 months. She survived it by doing what her trainers wanted her to do and by working and hoping that one day in the future she would get sold and married to a wealthy man. That’s the only way to escape that horrible place and her plan worked. She’s been sold to a young and handsome man. But from experience Felicia knows that handsome doesn’t mean kind or gentle. Sometimes the most handsome men hide the most cruel souls. But her new master really tries to be gentle and patient with her. Dare she hope for a peaceful future? If Felicia has learned one thing in Bangkok that is, that it’s very dangerous to hope for something good.
Although Dare planned to set Angel free after a while, he never counted on the fact that she would be so broken or on the fact that he would fall for her. She’s everything he ever wanted in a woman She’s just perfect for him. But he doesn’t want the broken woman, he wants the free spirit that she once was. Has she really lost that by what they did to her or is that free-spirited girl just hiding from the cruel world? Dare will do his best to save his woman but the world can be a dangerous place. Can he protect her and his family from the dangers? Or are some things just too broken to be mend?
I really loved Dare and Angel’s story. At times it was hard to read just how broken Angel was but you also saw her spirit and her strength throughout it all. Just like Dare you hoped that she would find her way back from the bad experience. Dare was everything I hoped for and more. He was very patient and gentle with Angel but when the situation asked for it he was also very dominant and protective. He was just the perfect blend between alpha strong and tender soft.
I liked the fact that we had POV’s from both couples. It was interesting to read how Tommy and Tia were doing after they got married. This story is really about the Ferrano family and they really try to leave the bad things behind but that’s not always easy. You see their fear, love, struggles and problems. I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series.
