Truth in The Lie by Tarina Deaton is the second book in her Leonidas Corporation and there is only one way to review this story: I loved this book!! It has everything that I love from action, humor, chemistry between the couple, love, and the dedication that Addison went to so that she could find her twin brother Braedon. There is some D/s but don’t worry its done very tastefully. I give the book 4.8 stars and can’t wait to read the next book.
When Addison Foster is watching a special ops raid happen she has a twin feeling that something is off and her brother may be walking into a ambush. When she’s told that her brother was killed she knows something is off. When the Devon Nash, Leonidas operative tells her he has proof that Braedon is still alive she agrees to go to Charleston to find out what he knows. However, when she discovers that Devon is her partner to the D/s auction she’ll find that it’s very hard to ignore the attraction she feels around him. Will they find Braedon in time? What will happen after the op can Devon and Addy figure out whether what they feel is forever?
Devon Nash knows that his former SEAL teammate Braedon Foster isn’t dead so when TLC is contracted by The Grahams who is Braedon’s teammate he knows that Addison will agree to going retrieval op to rescue them before he’s sold on a auction by a known opponent. But when he’s given his assignment as Addy’s escort be? He already is attracted to her so easy peasy right? But convincing Addy to find out if they can make a couple might be a little harder.
This is the 2nd novel in this series and is Addison and Devan’s story. Addison has a premonition that her twin brother is in danger and she needs help to find him. Devan is an IT specialist who was also a former seal member with her brother, and they go undercover to rescue him. No spoilers; this is a must read! This is a well written tale which is filled with action, intrigue, drama, suspense, love and is a steamy read. I was hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all.
Truth In The Lie is full of action, intrigue, drama, and suspense, but also some incredibly erotic and steamy love scenes.
Addy has an undeniable connection with her twin brother Braedon. When tragedy strikes her intuition is ignored and brushed aside. Despite everyone’s doubts she’s unerring in her beliefs, and is strong resilient and determined.
Devon is an operative of the Leonidas Corporation and a former Navy SEAL and teammate of Braedon. He’s inexplicably drawn to Addy and their chemistry is off the charts.
These characters are complex, yet fallible, with an undeniable connection and chemistry.
I was captivated by the secondary characters of the Leonidas Corporation and look forward to reading future titles in this series.
