CARTER
The ultimate tragedy is losing someone you love forever, and it’s about to happen to me a second time.
Locke’s attitude, reputation, and living space all make him the worst fit, but the choice is no longer mine.
He’s the father, and I’m about to move in with him.
Locke’s entitled to be surprised. I resisted him because he was my best friend’s ex, and now I’ve shown up with his baby.
But I swear, it’s not what you think…
And you won’t expect our love story, either.
WARNING: TRUSTING YOU is an angsty, slow burn, funny, steamy, reluctant roommate romance with cursing and gasp-worthy scenes.
SAFETY NET: There is no cliffhanger and it can be read as a standalone!

Trusting You is a look at love in all of it’s glory. Carter and Locke bring heartbreak to an inspiring tale of sacrifice, grief and all encompassing love. It takes the innocence of a newborn baby girl to heal two people broken by life and self – doubt. Allison pens a hopeful song that knows it’s melody but is struggling to find it’s lyric. It’s powerful, empathetic and unforgettable.
The story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. The opening scene will have you near tears. The first meet of Carter and Locke wll have you angry and make you laugh. There is a lot of back and forth Locke is an ex NFL player with a bad boy rep. Honestly he created a messy persona. He is immature, a womanizer, but honestly I still liked him. His character does a lot of growing. He stepped up when he needed to and his sweetness came through. It wasn’t all perfect but it worked out in the end. Carter was a little hard to like. She was very judgemental. I give her a pass because she lost her best friend and was really concerned about Lily. The other characters in the book were interesting and make for good future stories.

This book definitely had all the emotions pouring out of me. Have tissues handy in the beginning because this book had me bawling. Big old wet tears were falling. Give Locke a chance because that guy is going to surprise you. There is a lot to be desired in the beginning, but the more I got to know him and the changes he makes for his daughter blew me away. The scenes between Locke and his daughter melted my heart. Carter is the big culprit for the tears. I felt for her and my heart was breaking along with her. She is a character that deserves a HEA. This book has it’s serious moments, but a long the way there are some pretty funny light hearted moments. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and she has won me over with her characters. She develops such intense engaging characters that you root for the whole way. I’m looking forward to more from this series.
Brace yourself for an ugly cry that’s completely worth it. Trusting you ripped my heart out before putting it back together better than before. The emotions are real and powerful in this book! I was glued to the pages desperate too see Carter and Locke get the happiness they more than deserved after all they’ve both gone through. Their story may not be the easiest but it’s definitely one of the most beautiful.
Two people who’ve lost more than anyone ever should and a precious baby girl loved so fiercely they’d sacrifice anything for her. While the losses tore my heart to shreds the love that grew from them is so absolutely beautiful it makes every tear worth it. Both Carter and Locke grow exponentially throughout this book as they unravel more and more about each other and learn more about themselves.
What starts as devastating begins to grow into a breathtaking love that can stand through anything life throws at them. Ketley Allison delivers a powerfully emotional romance that will stick with you long after you’ve finished reading in Trusting You.
Oh MY Goodness! Grab a copy of this book now. Lock the doors and switch off your phone as you’re not going to want to be disturbed whilst reading this heart wrenching love story by Ketley Allison who is a fantastic new author to me. Carter’s best friend has just died and left her with her baby daughter Lily who is just the cutest girl imaginable. But she told Carter who the father was and begged her to find him otherwise the little girl would be taken away. Carter can’t bear the thought of Lily not being in her life and finds him. But Locke has not been in a good place in his life for a while., He had a promising football career but a stupid injury tore that away from him. Since then his life has been full of one night stands fueled by alcohol. But he does remember Carter and how he felt about her two years ago, and still does! At first they are enemies but once Locke sees Lily he knows he has a purpose in life that was missing once her career was finished. Have hankies at the ready. Carter is such a wonderful young woman and the love she has is amazing. Can Lily be kept in Carter’s life? Will Locke ‘man up’ and be there for his daughter that he didn’t know existed? Will the chemistry between Carter and Locke self combust or just fizzle out? This is a truly fabulous story that I thoroughly urge you to read for yourselves. This was a pretty good enemies to lovers romance and I enjoyed it. This is my first read by this author and I cannot wait to try more. This was a good start to the series and was pretty emotional at times my only issue was I did not really care for Carter I understand how she initially felt the way she did about Locke but no matter how much he proved he had changed his ways she just would not have it. Other than that I liked this and am looking forward to the next book
I have mixed feelings about this book. It started so strong but lost a bit off the momentum somewhere in the middle. I think my main problem was Carter. I just could not connect to her. Especially with reading how much Locke has changed when he found out that he was a father and she kept undermining his progression.
All he kept doing was showing her that he wasn’t a playboy she knew him as. I loved how much he invested himself into building a relationship with Lily and his efforts to make Carter finally see him worthy of her. Even though I think she should have been trying her damn hardest to make him see her worthy of his and his daughter’s love.
As a start to the series this was not a great read but it was good. I’m sorry to say but I have to give a 3,75* to this book. But I have a feeling that my liking of the series will improve with the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Ben and Astor.

As soon as I finished reading the book description, I immediately jumped at the chance to voluntarily review an Advanced Reader Copy. I’m so incredibly glad that I did. This book has believable, well written characters and such a good storyline that I was completely sucked into their story.
Carter was so easy to like and feel for her when the story begins. Her best friend has just passed away and is leaving behind a precious baby. A baby that Carter has helped raise and loves with all her heart, and now has to give up to the father who doesn’t even know he has a child. It’s difficult to not empathize with Carter, but she’s still human and has her own flaws and issues.
Locke is not as easy to like at first. He’s a former star athlete who’s pretty much hit rock bottom. The scene where Carter goes to let him know about baby Lily is priceless! Once you get to know Locke, things definitely make more sense, not that it excuses his behavior, but it’s definitely easier to understand him.
There was plenty of heartbreaking moment, moments that tug at all the soft spots, and those that literally make you melt. This was a book that I could find myself imagining everything as I was reading and feeling what the characters were feeling. The connection between Carter and Locke was like another character. I FELT it!
I can’t wait to see what happens with Astor and Ben!
I LOVED IT!BREATHTAKING!
A boat load of emotions that will have you bailing out your tears to stay afloat as the breathtaking storyline sends you on one heck of a twisted rollercoaster ride that will have you wanting to jump off at the first chance you get as the drama pulls you deep into its depths assaulting your senses toying with your emotions but needing to keep turning the pages wanting and needing the storyline to take a turn putting a smile on your face making you feel warm and satisfied after all the chaos you”he been put through but realizing the heartache was sooo worth every gruelling word! I LOVED IT! Heartwarming and undeniably heart-wrenching, intense, edgy, raw, captivating twists and passionate hot chemistry! A beautifully written must read!
Locke and Carter were amazing characters. Let’s also not forgot little Lily. She helped these characters come together but also helped both of them grow and become the people they were at the end of the book. I laughed and had tears and willed these characters to just let love in. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters. Ben was great and the Locke’s sister had me eager to see where her story is going to go. I have my suspicions and I can’t wait to the next book comes out after that ending. So if you want a single/new parent read with two characters who work together and finally get their own HEA then this book is for you. 4stars #2OCCJD
