I enjoyed reading, Trusting Jake. It was a great holiday read and I’m anxious to read more books from author, Lauren Giordano.
Story could have been more with more dialog between the characters and not mainly in their heads. At some points I would have to page back around five pages to figure out what the question was just now being answered.
Good read!
After the death of her jerk of a husband and sexual harassment that leads to loss of her job Jenna packs up and moved to Virginia for a fresh start. She decides to keep her husband alive in name only in hopes of deterring unwanted advances from men in her male dominated work. She meets Jake and begins working for him, and now she wishes she could come clean about her lie about her husband. Both fight their attraction, she because he’s her employer and Jake because he believes she is married. In a huge business deal her past comes face to face with her present and Jenna fears Jake will never trust her again.
Like the story. Writing easy to read. Very enjoyable.
Very easy read. Good story with great ending!
It held my interest from beginning to end. Not very realistic, however. I found myself feeling very impatient with Jenna — rather than be honest, she kept compounding her lies, for what seemed like improbable reasons.
An entertaining romance novel. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Light reading. Well written.
Colorful characters. Woman feeling inferior trying to improve herself falling in love.
Enjoyed the book but predictable
Jenna Stone is given the second chance at love that she never thought would happen. What she learns from her deceptive ways is that it is better to trust a friend then try to cover up all of her mistakes. I must commend Ms. Giordano on her writing in such a way that the reader is bound to continue reading to find out how Jenna and Jackson resolve their feelings of mistrust in order to love each other once they realize they have deep feelings for each other.
Easy Read with a happy ending
There was no place for me to give this stars. I enjoyed the book. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps kind of book.
Well written and believable. Expected outcome. Enjoyed the read.
I am not usually a fan of stories where the main character gets caught up in a “lie” but this story made the pretense believable and worked out the details without dragging all of the characters through the mud.
Great storyline, loved the characters
this book was VERY wordy and repeated itself a lot, I had to skip a lot of pages to get through the book
Great beginning to a series!!
Was a fun book I love books I cat wait to pickup
