This book was so good! Trey knows he’s gay and is comfortable with it. He’s been hurt before and trust is something he’s not quite good with yet. He’s not really wanting a relationship but seeing David and spending time with him, makes him want more. Their first meeting was interesting but it didn’t stop them from connecting again. David just recently realized he likes men as well. He’s not sure what to do but has an instant connection to Trey. He’s the rock in his family and keeps them together. Him and Trey have their fun but then lines get crossed and things happened. These two prove that when you communicate, you can have trust and a loving relationship. I loved Trey and David!
I was excited to find a new to me Aussie mm author but I can say this book was just ok. A few inconsistencies with details such as Treys age, and how quick they got back together, no resetablishing the relationship I could only give this 3 stars
Trusting Him by Laura N. Andrews is the first book in The Bromley Brothers Series. It tells the story of David and Trey.
Trey is an out and proud gay man who works as an event coordinator. His first interaction with Bisexual Security Guard David is… interesting. Trey is left breathless but puzzled over the guy who runs hot then cold. A second encounter with a better outcome leads to more interactions and a connection that keaves the two men questioning what they truly want right now in life and love.
The characters are relateable. They are fumbling a bit through a new relationship… misunderstandings, miscommunication, fears, doubt, lots of sexytimes… a new relationship has bumps in the road but a strong attraction and connection can be forged fast… it wont erase the bumps but it makes it sometimes easier to work through the bumps. That sums up some issues these characters have… Trey is only 25 and David is just newly navigating the world of dating another man, I expect the angsty drama found here… but also the sweet and steamy moments. I felt drawn in and stayed interested in these characters and their story. I cant wait for the next story in the series.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
