This is a beautiful second chance romance, with a fake relationship to boot. Once upon a time, Pearla and Evan had been in love. They had been in different places in their lives at that time and ended up parting ways. Years later, they are both successful in their jobs and their paths cross again. They end up helping each other out and in the process old feelings begin to resurface. Can these two have a second chance at love?
This was a clean romance with many funny and romantic moments. I enjoyed watching the growth of the characters. They were all very well-developed and had realistic characteristics which gave them an authentic quality. A great book to add to your summer reading list!

Can Evan and Pearla get a second chance at love? They were together at college but decisions and forged paths drove them apart until a fake engagement that’s been thrust upon Pearla brings them together again.
I liked the characters and the growth they did, and the flow of the story.

Can Pearla and Evan get a do-over? More importantly, do they want one? Not if Lance has anything to say about it, and he does not play fair! This was a good romantic book about the paths taken but also about those paths that were NOT taken and maybe should have been! Quite emotional with a lot of food for thought. Pun intended..lol!

Evan and Pearla met when they were young and made decisions only young people can make and a chance encounter years later gives them a second chance if their stubbornness would just take a back seat! This is a sweet and inspirational read which food, love and friendships shine through and lets you enjoy not just one rekindling of love.

As a result her almost fiancé spins the media to make her look stupid. To turn things around Evan offers Pearla to pretend to be back with him…. and an interesting charade begins…
A funny story of routines in life and the merit of re-evaluating said routines and values from time to time. An enjoyable read and pure entertainment. It is easy to relate to the main characters and feel for/with them
