Following up on the incredible success of River Road, New York Times–bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz delivers another masterpiece of romantic suspense. It’s no coincidence when Grace Elland finds a vodka bottle next to the lifeless body of her boss, motivational speaker Sprague Witherspoon. The bottle is a terrifying—and deliberate—reminder of the horrors of her past. Grace retreats to her … hometown to regroup and tries to put everything she’s learned about positive thinking into practice—a process that is seriously challenged on the world’s worst blind date. Awkward doesn’t begin to describe her evening with venture-capitalist Julius Arkwright. She has nothing in common with a man who lives to make money, but the intense former Marine does have some skills that Grace can use—and he’s the perfect man to help her when it becomes clear she is being stalked. As Witherspoon’s financial empire continues to crumble around them, taking a deadly toll, Julius will help Grace step into her past to uncover a devious plan to destroy not only Grace, but everyone around her…

Another fabulous romantic suspense by Jayne Ann Krentz!
When I finished the book before, I immediately had to purchase this one!
Have always found jayne/Amanda Quick books very fun and original stories.
Fast paced, fully satisfying romantic suspense. The mystery was complicated and led us to red herrings until the author gave us enough clues to twig to the real perpetrator. The hero’s two rules in Trust No One, which Grace finally accepts, are essential to unraveling the plot. The look inside a motivational speaker’s world was also illuminating.
One of my favorite authors. Her historical dare also great reads! They’re all likable characters, with human flaws and you get invested in their lives to the point where you want to know more about.
I buy anything! that this wonderful lady writes. I have never been disappointed. She also writes under several names including Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle.
As always, I love her characters.
Krentz/Castle/Quick never fails. Something for everyone!!

All of her books are great!
I love her as an author and read everything she writes. As with all authors some books are better than others, but that is not the case here. This was not one of her best jobs, but if you like her writing I would say to go ahead and read it. I did enjoy Julius the Alfa male in this book and Agnes her neighbor lady is a hoot
I enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and fun to read. The subject matter was interesting and the characters were well developed. Very enjoyable.
I can always depend on Jayne Krentz
