Swoon worthy, angsty road to love with ALL of the feels from the lowest of lows to a beautiful crescendo. I loved it!! I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.
Whew! Holt Dixon has intrigued me since I first read about him in Free Me (Andrew and Trish). I knew there was more to his character and I was so excited to read his story.
We first met Baker Holland in Free Me as well when she helped Trish out with her food truck. I’m so intrigued by the Paths of Purpose world and I love that these women are finding their rightful places after horrible experiences. Baker is no exception and her story is harrowing.
I really loved Holt’s response when he learned about Baker’s past, but it felt a little too perfect. Maybe his own experiences helped him navigate it easier than others might. Regardless, I’m happy with how their story turned out.
I can’t wait to read Marlow and Patrick’s story, I know there’s going to be some gut punches in there.
Love Holt and Baker. Strong character development. Grahame takes you so much deeper into the soul of his characters. LOVE is freedom. Thank you Grahame
5 STARS
I loved Holt and Baker as a couple. Their chemistry and along with the trust they had with each other that helped them heal added to their journey as a couple. Trust Me by Grahame Claire is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
I really enjoyed Baker and Holt’s journey. The title says it all. Trust between the two existed but with boundaries. The journey to their hea wasn’t an easy one. The pair were broken from their past. You feel for the characters and the secondary characters were a great addition. I look forward to the next instalment if this series.
Another flawless read from this gifted author…
I’m not one to tell the story which in any event has been outlined by the blurb & in previous reviews. What I will mention is that the flawed main characters were completely realisitic & indentifiable & their attraction undeniable. Sometimes I wanted to punch some sense into one or the other but that’s what happens when I get invested in a book. Another gem from Ms Claire! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Holt…on to your heart ladies. Because Baker and Holt are gonna steal their way right into it. These anti-relationship roomies turned lovers are perfect for one another. I fell for Baker and Holt in Free Me so I was so excited to get their story next.
These two were the epitome of damage due to the history of their own past relationships that were broken and scarred. Neither had any interest in getting involved with anyone else, however they were both so incredibly attracted to each other no matter how much they tried to fight it overwhelming chemistry was too much to resist.
They both had super tragic and complex pasts. Better get your tissues ready people. I literally devoured this heartwrencher in just a few mere hours. It was phenomenal! With all of those amazing characters we fell in love with in Free Me back in this book you will be sucked in from the very first chapter until the very end. I can’t wait for more from this incredible family and “ Free world” Grahame Claire has created!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book.
Four- Trust Me Your Gonna Love it Stars!!
Steam Rating – Holt and Baker are hella hot. These roommates romp like champs! So perfect!
Cliffhanger Warning- Loved this HEA for our couple and I definitely want more from this series!
Grahame Claire created another great book that is sexy and full of chemistry but will also pull at your heart strings. This roommates-to-lovers romance will wisk you away and have you wishing for more of Holt. This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster. I was so captivated by the characters.
Holt and Baker were running away from their pasts and ended up running to each other.
This was such an adventure reading because the book has so much more to offer. I highly recommend reading this book.
This is a great book. i could hardly put it down. I loved Holt and Baker. They’re roommates, but so much more. This book has a ton of emotion and feels. A lot of issues to work through for both characters. Their pasts are holding them back from grabbing for a future of happiness. Holt and Baker both pulled at my heartstrings. I was rooting for them to get their HEA. My heart goes out to Holt’s family because they’re all effected by what happened. I would definitely recommend this book because you’re going to get lost in the pages of the story. A book hangover was a result because I needed to know what was going to happen. Great story with a ton of heart.
I expected a book about trust and the lack thereof, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about unconditional love, acceptance, healing, and the power of knowing your worth. I wish I wasn’t limited to 5 stars. Holt and Baker’s story is beautifully written. They are my new favorite couple. Five Fabulous Stars!!!!
Holt and Baker are roommates who are constantly circling their stronger feelings for each other. Holt and Bake both have sworn off relationships considering they are both of alot of baggage from previous relationships. But these two continue to push aside there feelings and attraction towards each other and you wonder how long they can do this. Holt and Baker relationship as a ton of push and pull moments and can they put there past behind them and move forward and have the relationship that they both deserve to have. This was a really great read and I really enjoyed reading there story.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Holy smoking hot Baker and Holt. You are going to fall so in love with them from the get go. These two have some of the most amazing chemistry and they will have you laughing from the very first chapter to the last. I will say too though that once I got further into the book that Baker got on my nerves a little bit and she about drove me crazy. If she does that to you too thought, don’t lay the book down. You will miss something absolutely amazing if you do.
5+++
Two lives with difficult times, broken lives, shattered dreams and heart break.
It’s great to read about some of the loved characters from Paths to Love series. Continuing with the Free Me series. This book brings us Holt and Baker. Both with difficult live but one have the love and support from their family and the other disowned completely by their family.
Baker was at Paths of Purpose a women’s shelter after an evil incident that almost took her life but did destroy her own person. Something so tremendous that it shattered her life. Holt ran away from where his family lived in New York and went to school in Wyoming. Became a Park Ranger and enjoyed his life but missed his family as they missed him as well. He was fighting against some devils that kept following him around. After going through the death of his best friend and losing the woman he loved, he takes some time off work and returns to New York. Much to his father and brother’s happiness with his return.
Holt and Baker end up being roommates after meeting at a family dinner. They are both working through things and in being roommates they somewhat build a delicate friendship. These two are an interesting couple. Their trust is tentative since they are hiding secrets from each but they sense something about each other that seems to work for them. Holt has an interesting manner of shaking up Baker’s life, who he nicknames Easy for Easy on the Eyes.
The Dixon family is going through so much turmoil, not only with Holt but someone that was in the family a long time ago that they do not put up with anymore. She means no good in that family. Seems to have a vendetta for some reason or other.
Mr. Dixon loves his children with everything he is as well as his two grandchildren. Blake and Ella love to talk in their own way that makes you laugh just imagining how loud they are. But they are two very lucky babies with all the love they get from their family and others.
Grahame Claire did an outstanding piece of work with this book. All the books in both series have been favorites but Trust Me has a special something in the writing that is so captivating. A page-turner and definitely recommend this book to readers. There’s a bonus material to send for, request it.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love this world Grahame Claire has created. I can’t get enough.
Book 2 in the Free Series, we get Andrew’s brother Holt and Baker’s story.
Holt has come back to NY to spend time with his family that he didn’t realize how much he missed.
Holt has run away from his life in Wyoming and is seeking new grounds with his family. Keeping his secrets to himself and developing a relationship with Baker.
Baker has had her own trauma in life seeking refuge at The Paths, now finally strong enough to be independent takes on Holt’s offer and becomes roommates.
Two people running away from their secrets and finding solace in each other, seeking truth, seeking real love!
** Definitely read Book 1 in the Free Series Free Me it’s where we meet Baker for the first time and understand the family dynamics.**
This was a very emotional read, it made me cry a couple of times, but in the best way! I’m going to go back and read book 1 for sure!
Holt and Baker are roommates constantly circling their stronger feelings for each other. It’s not as if either wants a relationship considering the loads of baggage each carries. But they honestly cannot keep suppressing their attraction to each other. Will they give into the attraction? What will come of their roommate arrangement if they step past that line? Can Baker trust Holt to care for her heart if she bares it to him? Can Holt trust Baker not to abandon him as his mother did?
Well damn…this story was a bit intense! Two such broken souls in need of love and understanding. That they found those things in each other is quite beautiful. Holt and Baker and their push and pull, their angst, their love, gah so beautiful. Grahame Claire’s stories are always emotional and substantial, but I think Baker and Holt just may be their most intensely emotional couple yet. I loved their love story, every single angsty, gut wrenching word!
I love everything by Grahame Claire and this was no exception. We met Holt and Baker in Free Me, Holt as the Hero’s brother and Baker as the heroines best friend in the Paths shelter. They both need an apartment and decide to live together. They both have bad pasts with major trust issues, but they can’t fight the attraction.
I love Bakers back story, how she overcame her notorious past, and went on to have a good life. I love Holts family, well, all except his mother and sister, but I’m sure she will be redeemed in a future book.
I received an ARC of this book but I would have bought it anyway, she is just that good of an author.
We got a taste of the chemistry (and sudden move in) with Holt and Baker in Trish and Andrew’s book. I have very much looked forward to seeing how their roommates to lovers book would turn out… and it was so worth it.
Both have a past they don’t want to discuss with each other, but then want the other to fess up to said past.
They go from roommates to lovers, but it’s very rocky due to hiding the past. The chemistry is hot, but emotionally they have a lot of baggage to unload, and can’t quite get it out.
Honestly, for the age that they both are, especially Holt, they should have been a bit more mature about it.
Holt escapes NY to Wyoming to become a park ranger, but then escapes Wyoming and goes back to NY (where most of this story takes place). He does a good job of brushing it under the rug, until his skanky ex tries to come back into his life. (She seriously is a real piece of work).
Baker escapes a controlling relationship, but the way she escapes is scary and quite traumatizing. Getting over this is difficult, but eventually becomes impossible to hide from.
I’ll leave it at that, as more I feel would give spoilers. I say whether you’ve read Trish’s book or not, give this one a try.
I received an advanced copy of this book and leaving an honest review.
Trust Me is a story that has it all. There is laughter and some tears. Holt and Baker are roommates who room together for convenience. They each have very painful things in their pasts. The longer they live together, the closer they get , but they are still fighting their demons, and won’t share their pasts. We get to visit with Holt’s family. We witness love and betrayal, there are major misunderstandings. They must each try to come to terms with their pasts, or they will end up alone. I loved this book! Do not miss this it!
I absolutely love Holt and Baker! This series gets better with each couple. I cannot wait for more.
I read a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
