Sam. Oo, Sam. Isabel does such a good job of developing this character. You feel for him and understand why he is the way he is. And you seriously pull for him. You want so badly to see him finally put down his walls and trust and let someone in. And good lord is he sexy in the process!
Olivia. Isabel does a fantastic job of developing her character as well. You can relate to her and feel for her. Just like with Sam you are rooting for her so much. Hoping that she will trust herself enough to get what she wants.
Together, this book has it all. It is sexy, funny, and suspenseful with fantastic character development. I absolutely loved the first book in this series and Isabel Jolie has done it again. I am so excited to see what is to come with the rest of this series!

First year and Mr. Coffee Shop Man.
Olivia is a first year grad student back in Manhattan and starting her internship. She first meets Coffee Shop Man and then really gets to know Sam.
Sam is now mistrustful of everyone (with reason).
Now, it’s a matter of trust.
I liked both characters and got sucked in.

They have both been avoiding a relationship since her last boyfriend cheated on her and Sam is a billionaire who has seen too many women after his money. When they meet sparks fly has they begin to spend time together he has not told her about a stalker he has had for two years who has now made friends with Olivia. This is a great romance but the suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. Loved this book.

Trust Me, by Isabelle Jolie, is a contemporary novel that has drama, intrigue and, of course, romance. It tells the story of two people who have had reason not to blindly trust the opposite sex. Olivia Grayson walked in on her boyfriend, with whom she was going to lease an apartment together that very day, having sex with one of his assistants. She contacted her wealthy uncle, who arranged for her to take an immediate job in Prague. Sam Duke, the wealthy CEO of Esprit Transactions, constantly had women chasing him for his wealth, rather than himself. In addition, he was currently being stalked by a woman with whom he had hooked up one night about 18 months ago.
When Olivia came back to New York after an 18-month absence, she planned to attend Columbia to get her MBA and take an internship at Esprit Transactions. On the day she was to start her internship, she was having coffee at a coffee shop she had just discovered when an exceedingly handsome man came in. Inasmuch as he was absorbed in his Wall Street Journal, she stared at his forearms since she couldn’t see his face and day-dreamed. However, when her phone rang loudly, she dropped her backpack and her belongings spilled out onto the floor as he flicked his paper to block her from view. As she picked up her phone, she noticed him exiting the coffee shop. Apparently, she had disturbed hem.
Olivia’s next stop was her accounting professor. As she was sitting with him going over the textbook, she thought she saw the back of the coffee shop guy’s suit going past the open door. Finally, it was time for her orientation. As she got in the elevator, a person got on at the last minute. Much to her surprise, it was the coffee shop guy, who stared at her in a not very friendly way until she exited the elevator. As she prepared to enter the orientation, she was pulled away by security and grilled as to her activities that day. Apparently, Sam Duke and/or his security team thought she was stalking him since she had turned up at so many locations he had been in. After everything finally got sorted out, she began to question if she really wanted to work there or not. What she didn’t know was that Mr. Duke had decided he wanted her assigned to his own team.
As Olivia met with her friend Anna and her husband Jackson, he offered her an internship at his firm, Goldwater, Brooke, and Associates, and she readily accepted. When she didn’t show up at Esprit the next morning (she had called HR to advise them she was declining the internship), Sam was disappointed. However, when he attended a business meeting with his law firm, he discovered that Olivia was working with Jackson on the same deal he’s interested in. As he said to her later when it was just the two of them, her working for Jackson made it easier to date her and promptly asked her out.
This well-written novel has it all as the two protagonists face misunderstandings, trials and setbacks. Ms. Jolie has written a wonderful novel that explores trust and human emotions. If you want a good read during this time of self-isolation, this would be a good novel to make you feel better.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Isabel Jolie; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I liked Olivia in the first story in this series. She was a good friend and it is nice to see her get her own story. She is a grad student back from Prague dreaming of finding her own mister right. She sees an attractive hunk while daydreaming in the coffee shop. Then finds out she is an intern at his company. Power dynamics in the work setting seem to be a theme in these stories which the author does a realistic job of dealing with as she has taken each couple in these first two stories on their journeys to one another. I look forward to the next story in this series.

I could not put this book down once I started reading it. Olivia is a down to earth and mature young woman that has been setting and achieving her goals. Sam.made his fortune with his tech savvy and as a result distrusted anyone that tried to have a relationship with him. Were they after his money? Trying to trap him? When he meets Olivia the first time she is drawn to him and he doesn’t realize she has no idea who his is. They cross paths soon thereafter and the intrigue, love and adventure begins.

This is an interesting romance between Olivia and Sam. The author does a great job building their story and pulls you in with all the suspense and kept me on the edge with all the twists along the way. It’s an intriguing story,is well written and moves fluidly. I enjoyed reading and would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. Sam and Olivia have steamy chemistry. This has intrigue, danger and an HEA ending. Olivia is a grad student who takes a job as an intern. Sam is CEO of the company Olivia is an intern. He is fierce in the corporate world. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a great book. It is sweet with intrigue. Olivia is in a good place in her life as she has returned to New York for a fresh start. She is starting school an looking forward to a new career. She is back among the familiar and her friends. Sam is busy running his business and not looking for a relationship. He wants the life his parents have and is not willing to settle for anything less. This is a love story with intrigue. The characters are wonderfully created. It is a definite page turner that keeps the reader invested. You will love Am’s open honest as well as his passionate bursts of anger. The ending is especially amazing.
Trust Me by Isabel Jolie is the second book in the West Side Series. This is the story of Sam and Olivia.
I haven’t yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book. This was my first book by this author but I enjoyed it so much I will want to hunt down more books by her. Olivia is a grad student who has taken a internship job. Sam has taken the corporate world by store which has made him a target for a lot of things. When Olivia happens to meet Sam she feels a heated connection but then later she learns he is her boss for this new internship job. This was a hot read but it did have some twist and turns to their ending.
I always enjoy a good book where the good guys come out on top. There’s plenty of adventure to keep you moving to the finish.
