As kids, the stock car racing town of Glen Oaks called them The Outlaws. Who knew the hoodlums on the street would grow up to be upstanding citizens? Their leader, Linc, has become a minister, but never got over his first love, Margo, now an atheist because of her upbringing in a religious cult. Beth is lonely after the death of her husband Danny, until Tucker, the man who blames himself for … Danny’s death, comes to town. And Annie has overcome emotional and physical scars from her youthful marriage to Joe, but will her progress be enough when he reenters her life? In Book 3, TRUST IN ME, troubled teen Ronny reunites them, and in trying to help the boy, the three couples uncover a passion for each other that can no longer be denied.
Don’t miss all five books in the Lean On Me Series, heart-wrenching stories of teens in jeopardy and the adults who’ve dedicated their lives to helping them: PROMISES TO KEEP, MICHAEL’S FAMILY, TRUST IN ME, WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN and A PRICE WORTH PAYING.

This book was captivating and the characters were well written. I enjoyed all the characters and their stories. This book is part of a series but can be read independently. I look forward to reading more from this author.
DO NOT GIVE UP reading as the beginning is very confusing. We have a whole lot of characters to keep up with! I even had to go back and figure who was married to which person who either died or became a counselor! Great characters, long time strong childhood friendships that finally turn into a HEA. This book has emotional and life situations that bring emotional thought and connection to this story! I enjoy family books and these long time friends are definitely a family!
Today was the day I needed to read some of my “to be read list” and this was one of them. Since this is the first book from Kathryn Shay I’ve read, I had no idea what to expect. This was often a hard book to read; the abuse, neglect, assault of young troubled teens and then the consequences of when they grew into adults. The emotional and physical journey these individuals went on was sometimes overwhelming but redemption was the underlying factor.
First chapter introduces us to six trouble teens and what their lives centered on. Story follows them thru adulthood, the hurts and the abuse that had
happened in their lives. The center theme was on forgiveness, and finding
love for one self. Powerful look at these issues and the author did a great job with this story. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion..

Great
Another wonderful story in the series. Each character in this story had strengths and weaknesses that brought up do many going on in thee world today.
This book talked about redemption on different subjects. I enjoyed it because it was very real. The author know that she didn’t have to have a whole lot of sex and cuss words to get her storyline across.
Very uplifting read!!
Another wonderful story by Kathryn Shay. I’m always on the lookout for her books. She creates great characters.
Love, love Kathryn Shay. Like that I can read just one and feel the story is complete or the entire series. The characters are well defined and likable.
I enjoyed reading this book.
I was disappointed in it. Predicable not one of this authors best.
Makes you believe in love and trust.
I usually do not like books with so many main characters, just to hard to follow and keep up with, but this books keep glued to each page. It has a wonderful message about ties of friendship, forgiveness and ability to change. Love the story and characters and of course the “happy every after”
Great book, Great story. Easy to read with wonderful characters.
Enjoyed this book. Engaging story line and kept my interest.
Kathryn shay is my favorite writer. Love her story telling and her chacarters. She makes me laugh and cry at the same time. She is the best, never read any of her books that I didn’t love and recommended to other people.
Wonderful book. Couldn’t put it down.
To many story lines going on at the same time. Would be much better if the book focused on one person, instead of the whole gang.
I enjoy Kathryn Shay books….love the characters.
I liked it very much. An unusual approach to using a minister as one of the main characters.
Really fun romance. I liked it so much, I ordered the others.
