They’d lost their faith in love, but the magic of Christmas can reignite even a bruised heart.Doctor Zachary Valenti loves being surrounded by kids at work, and he’s eager to have a family of his own, but so far finding the right woman has proved impossible. Until a new nurse starts working at the hospital and her exotic beauty sparks an attraction he hasn’t felt in years. After finding her groom … hasn’t felt in years.
After finding her groom in the wedding planner’s arms, nurse Leilani Moreira needs to get as far away as possible, and starting over in a small town seems the perfect solution. Until she meets the captivating pediatrician who warms her up with just a simple smile, and she suddenly finds it hard to remember what she was trying to get away from.
When fighting their attraction proves useless and they both surrender to their feelings, the shadows of Leilani’s past heartbreak threaten to pull them apart, making her doubt she’ll ever find a way to trust in love again.
A sweet, medical romance for fans of heartwarming stories and small-town settings. Trust In Love is book four in the Love In Spring series, but it can be read on its own.
*** A shorter version of this book was previously included in the Romancing The Holidays 3 anthology.
This is a revised and longer version of the story. ***

This is such a good book!
I enjoyed reading it!
It’s an engaging & moving romance.
Zach & Leilani, are still healing their hearts, after their trust was betrayed.
After meeting each other, they hadn’t expected to feel that spark again.
Zach Leilani, steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
It has the small town charm & the comfort
of friends & family. I loved everything about this Must Read Story!!
Zach and Leilani both have had their fair share of heartache and mistrust. When she came to town Leilani had given up on finding a man that she could love and trust. Just as Zach had given up on love. Who knew that the Christmas spirit would bring these two together bound by their devotion to the care and service to their jobs. Trust in Love is a well written story that will have you gravitating to Zach and Leilani’s sides as the journey towards an adventure of love and happiness.

I loved Zach and Leilani they are both relatable and you really get to know and connect with them and really want them to get together but the hesitations and lack of trust Leilani has are totally understandable. Their families crack me up and you can see they want nothing but them to be happy in life so you get some good laughs along, a romance, some doubt and a lot of hope of a happy ending and that’s what makes this book a great read!

From the first page I fell in love with Dr. Zach Valenti’s character when he volunteered to dress up as Rudolph and tell stories to the pediatric patients at a local hospital. I wouldn’t be able to keep my heart out of it either and would hurt for any child who didn’t have a lot of hope of getting better. I loved that he tried to bring some Christmas magic into their lives by filming the tree lighting ceremony and giving them gifts as Santa and that he took in his patient’s dog after it was determined the child was allergic. He wanted his own wife and family and saw that possibility in new nurse Leilani. But she was hurt by her self-centered cheating ex-fiance and has trouble trusting. Plus he runs the risk of losing the job he always wanted at the hospital by fraternizing with the staff. His and her family were a riot especially his brother Rob, who needs his own romance. There were plenty of funny, romantic, and sad moments in this clean romance.
The Characters in this story are so wonderful, especially the Dr who wears a flashing nose for the kids. They will need to learn that they can trust each other that they both can give and receive love. Even if they have been hurt before they can learn to get past that. The Characters, story, and setting were great. Must read

Loved the Hero
I am actually an RN in southern Oregon, though more inland than the fictional coastal town setting of this story. It’s a medical romance between Doctor Valenti and nurse Leilani. I’ll admit that at first I thought, “oh, come on… female nurse and male doctor, how cliched!” Having been a nurse, I can’t save there has ever been a doctor I found appealing in a romantic way. 😉 But I fell in love with Doctor Valenti right away. Seriously, every child should have a pediatrician like this doctor. He works part time at the clinic but volunteers at the local hospital in the pediatric ward. In the first scene of the book, he’s just wrapped up a Christmas story told while he is wearing a flashing red nose and reindeer antlers. He is so sweet with the children and even manages to put the bully in place in a very appropriate way. Leilani has just come to Oregon from Hawaii, where everything went wrong with her life when she discovered her fiance was having an affair with their wedding planner! The doctor also has some issues from his past, of course. It wouldn’t be a romance without that. So the title is apt, as this couple needs both to trust themselves in picking the right partner and to trust that love is possible.
As a nurse, I did have some issues with the medical aspects of the book. Some hospital parts seemed cliched, what people think happens in a hospital, but not the way it actually does. There were a few bizarre little moments, too. Does the author not know that what nurses and sometimes doctors wear are called scrubs? I almost laughed when she first called the nurse’s outfit a “nurse’s uniform” after just describing the doctor as wearing a burgundy uniform and white coat. Oh, and this hospital uses paper charts. Seriously, does any sort of a hospital use paper charts anymore? I think the government may not even allow it if the hospital is to receive government money. I’ve actually been to Curry County on many occasions, where this book is supposed to take place, and I don’t think it is appropriate for it to have such a large hospital as was described in this book. There were other medical issues with this book, but I won’t detail them. But if you aren’t a nurse, you probably wouldn’t realize them anyway.
In any event, despite the medical and hospital issues, I found this a delightful read because of the exceptional character of Dr. Valenti and the evolving romance of this couple.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Zach meets Leilani and instantly are attracted to one another. Both have had painful experiences in the past that make them wary of getting into another relationship because loving someone requires a level of both vulnerability and trust. Ultimately both must decide if pursuing a relationship is worth the effort it will take to let go of the past to forge a new future.
The angst was real, the feelings were genuine. The support and love from family was heartening and rare. I really enjoyed reading this story.
Trust in Love was the perfect title for this story of two people who have been hurt and mislead by their past romances and how they need to rebuild their trust in love in order to open their hearts to receive love. It was a touching story. I really liked Dr. Zachary Valenti who helped to ease the fear for children in the hospital. What a fun doctor he was and I liked how he changed Dr. Parson’s attitude and Dr. Parson changed him too. I also liked nurse Leilani whose fiance had cheated on her on their wedding day. She was so brave to open her heart up to Zach so she could trust in her love for him and his love for her. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Book four in the Love In Spring series a well written Christmas story. Doctor Zachary Valenti a pediatrician and nurse Leilani Moreira’s story. Leilani finds it had to trust after what her fiance did. I enjoyed reading how their story comes together and I hope there is more in this series to come. Dr. Zach has a rather unconventional bedside manner, but the kids absolutely love him. Leilani just moved to town, and was just hired as a nurse. The sparks between them are flying immediately. But there’s a policy against relationships between co-workers. They’ve both been hurt in the past, and have trust issues moving forward. This is a really beautiful story about two broken hearts who find each other at exactly the right time. This is my first read from this author, but certainly not the last.

“They’d lost their faith in love, but the magic of Christmas can reignite even a bruised heart.”
Zach and Leilani have both dealt with heartache and given up on finding their true love. It’s amazing what the spirit of Christmas can do for the heart. A story that’s well written, is heartwarming and so enjoyable to read. Wonderful characters that you’ll fall in love with and feel like they’re family.

Dr Zach loves his job and the children he does his best to comfort as they go through their difficult days. He has given up on love as most women are unwilling to accommodate his long hours and dedication to work. When Nurse Leilani comes on the scene, after having fled the most mortifying experience of her life, he begins to hope for the future. No matter where one goes, there is always someone who would like to throw a spanner in the works, and hospitals are a hotbed of gossip and even spite. Leilani has to look deep within herself to determine whether she is indeed ready to love again. This novel is sweet and clean and brings with it all the healing power of Christmas. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Nurse Leilani moves to the small town after catching her fiancee cheating where she meets Dr. Zach who loves children and hopes to have his own someday but so far has been unlucky in love. Will these two find in each other the special one they have been looking for?

Zachary and Leilani have both been betrayed by past loves. Sparks fly when these two meet but one of them is resisting the attraction. He was so funny and I loved how he interacted with the children at the hospital. A really sweet slow building romance with angst that I found really believable. Forgiveness is asked for and given.
This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.
