“Knock knock!”“Um… Who’s there?”Yeah. That was me, on my last date. Before you feel sorry for me you should know that I was the one telling the jokes. Jokes as in plural, because I didn’t stop with just one. Of course not. Hi, I’m Chloe Scott. The most awkward single girl in the city. But I’m going to get it together. I am. I’m going to learn how to date like a grown up.I’m going to have an orgasm … to date like a grown up.
I’m going to have an orgasm not given to myself.
I’m going to fall in love and live happily ever after.
Right after I get out of this interrogation room.

Boyd and Chloe are a unique couple and it is such a good story because of how they meet and how Boyd goes about “not dating” Chloe who is smears to the nth degree in social situations.
The stories she tells about her failed online dates would give anyone the willies (even unsolicited pictures thereof), Boyd enters her life and finds a way around her anxiety and panic, sort of. She self doubts, self depreciates and certainly never accepts there is something about her that Boyd or anyone else would like.
It’s a little sad that this is the last book of the series because all these couples were so much fun to read about.
The first book I read from Jana Aston was Wrong. I loved Sophie and Luke’s story and continued to love every couple in the series. Trust was no exception.
I absolutely ADORED Claire and Boyd. I can be socially awkward so I actually kind of related to Claire – honestly I thank god every day I met my husband in elementary school and didn’t have to deal with real world dating.
This book was not only relatable – it was laugh out loud funny. Jana Aston is definitely in my top three of romantic comedy writers. If you have not read her books then you are definitely missing out.
Five Fabulous Stars! Aston is a freaking mischievous goddess! Trust was a must-read! It will have you rolling on the floor with bouts of uncontrollable laughter and then swooning so hard you’ll faint! I needed this read so much! It’s been on my tbr forever and I’m so glad I finally got the chance to read it! This couple will stick with me forever! Chloe-and-boyding is the best thing ever! Boyd has easily taken the top spot in my book boyfriends! He is EVERYTHING! Gosh, I couldn’t have loved this book more! It’s so ridiculously Sexy! I devoured this baby in one sitting! And I’m dying for more of Aston! This book needs to be read! “All the fucxs!” , “POD”, and the Knock-Knock jokes are just what the doctor ordered!
A Perfect End to a Series
This last book of the Wrong series wraps everything up in a nice little bow.
Since this books timeline is after the first 3, we get to experience the HEA’s from the first 3 characters… Sophie, Everly and Sandra.
This book made me maybe now have a Fed fedish! I love how Jana’s sarcastic personality comes out in her books. When I actually laugh out loud, the book is a winner.
Chloe tries to deal with her social anxiety, but struggles in the dating world. Cue Boyd. Boyd comes in and makes her feel at ease while she’s around him, him doing his own version of courting her that is unique to Chloe and Chloe alone. There were parts where I’d Chloe would just voice her opinions conflict could’ve been avoided but Boyd took it like a champ. He rarely got mad at her because he knew what he needed to do to get through to her with her social anxiety.
You definitely should TRUST me and pick up this read to round out the amazing story and series.
Trust is a really fun and quirky RomCom. But it’s not just funny, the story is sweet and swoony.
“What would I even do with a guy like Boyd? He’s probably into crazy shit like having sex with the lights on.”
Boyd is thoughtful and patient, wooing Chloe while always keeping her anxiety issues in mind.
“Dating is basically three hours of talking to a stranger, which is stupid, right? I don’t enjoy that. I mean who enjoys that? Who? Who are those people? It’s weird. Dating is weird.”
With great narration, this story on audiobook was an entertaining escape from the real world.
-4.5 Stars!-
By far my top favorite in this series!!
Cute, shy and very awkward Chloe gets her story of finding love since she has one crazy/disastrous date after another.
This is filled with lots of laughter and gives you those butterflies in your stomach.
I felt like most of the time I had a smile on my face because Chloe and her adorable and addictive personality.
I can’t say how much I absolutely loved this book!!
Jana is a no question one-click for me; she doesn’t disappoint!
I don’t believe I’ve ever highlighted a book this much. I LOVED Trust! Boyd’s character was perfect! ( not TOO perfect, just right) he’s definitely on my list of book boyfriends. Chloe y’all, she’s one of the most real characters I’ve ever read. Anxiety comes in all shapes and forms, and Chloe’s is the closest I’ve ever seen to mine. From Right, I was ready for Chloe’s story! I’m so so in love with these characters and the storyline! Well tbh this series in general! I said it when I read Wrong, I will be reading more Jana Aston!
Trust (Wrong Series #4) by Jana Aston is a contemporary, new adult, age-gap, fake relationship romance told in first person, dual POV.
Chloe, a second-grade teacher with social anxiety, has dived into the world of online dating, and her dating track record is terrible. It’s so bad, in fact, that one of her dates ends with an arrest and an FBI interrogation. But what if she catches the FBI agent’s eye? And what if this FBI agent is her friend’s older half-brother, Boyd? What happens when he offers to help Chloe with her dating methods in order to get close to her? Read the book to find out.
I loved Chloe and Boyd’s story! I’ve read the entire series, and it’s my favorite book out of them all. I read it in one sitting. Chloe’s awkwardness was so endearing, and Boyd was so patient and understanding of her needs. It was a funny, sweet, and very sexy read.
5++ stars
This book was so perfectly a balance of memorable characters, humor, charm, hotness and intelligence. Standalone, but would recommend reading this series in order. A top read for me.
My favorite of this series. Actually I loved them all but I thought Boyd was a special guy paired with an angsts but funny misfit . Love love love but buy Wrong first. In order is the best way to keep up with the backstory
Boyd has to be one of my favourite book boyfriends. He’s smart, intuitive and has a heart of gold. He sees Chloe for the amazing person she is and works around her anxiety to get to know her.
Wonderful characters, steamy and romantic.
Ah Jana has done it again with this one. I was hooked from the first chapter – Everly still cracks me up. Chloe and Boyd, another great couple who you can’t help but love. A fantastic group of couples that I just want to keep reading about – sad that this is the end of them. Looking forward to seeing what Ms Aston has next for us.
Just finished Trust by Jana Aston. Needed to read something a bit different. I love this heroine. She has social anxiety and the way it was handled was great. She reminded me of … Me! I am so awkward. Our hero is a sweetheart who goes out of his way to get to know her despite her awkwardness.
Great book with lots of laughs.
First thank you Mae Wood for gifting me this book from Pig & Barley’s Valentine’s Day ebook exchange.
I knew I would love this. Love Boyd. And you will love Boyd too. He is just perfect for Chloe. Just perfect.
God, I love Chloe and Boyd!!! Adorable, sweet, funny and so sexy. Chloe is such a sweetheart, but suffers from societal anxiety that makes her nervous around people she doesn’t know. So that means dating is incredibly hard for her. She’s trying to meet people through a dating app, but with her weird (but sweet) quirks, it’s not going so well for her. Then she meets Boyd when he arrests her date and he interrogates her. He’s an FBI agent in the cyber crimes division and her date was arrested for using counterfeit tickets to the Eagles game they were at.
I love how he was so perceptive that he knew if he tried to date her the normal way she would have bailed on him. So he makes up a reason to get her to go on a fake date with him so that he’ll owe her a favor that he really hopes she’ll cash in. And the way he just sweeps her along into a relationship with him without her even realizing it, wow, that man is so swoon worthy (and really tricky!).
I honestly didn’t think Jana could come up with a better couple than Everly and Sawyer or Luke and Sophie, but she did, because Chloe and Boyd are even more adorable, more sexy and more perfect together than any of her friends. Sigh…if only my fascination with all things British would mean that I end up with Tom Hardy the way Chloe’s fascination with FBI agents meant she ended up with her very own sexy FBI agent.
5 “Chloe-and-Boyding” stars!
I loved this so much! This was such a fun story that entertained the hell outta me. Chole is absolutely fantastic.
“I’m just socially awkward with grown-ups. Total rock star with the under-tens, but grown-ups, not so much.”
It was funny that she thought through things to death and told jokes when she’s nervous and loved murder mysteries. I think she’s so relatable that you can’t help but love her.
And then there’s Boyd. Ello mister sexy fed, you. He’s just so perfect for Chole.
“Why are you so patient with me?” I ask.
“Because I like you.”
“Oh,” I whisper. “Okay.”
It was awesome to see everyone else from her past books, still love Everly! I think Jana gets better and better with each book she writes. I can’t wait to see what she come out with next!!
My last quote that sealded the deal for me. —>”Because I know that every day I spend with Chloe is the best day of my life.” Seriously, awwwwww.
Trust is Jana Aston’s latest full length offering – and my personal favorite. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Chloe and Boyd. It follows the unlikely, on the down low, pairing of Everly’s studious, loyal, best friend Chloe and, and Sophie’s hot, FBI agent, half- brother Boyd. It is totally out of my dark, dramatic, angsty wheelhouse. But sometimes you need an antidote for all that dark. True story – when I picked up “Trust” I was coming off of a string of dark, heartbreaking reads. Forget about book hangover, we’re talking book poisoning. “Trust” got me my reading mojo back. It’s a bright, funny, slow burning courtship with a heaping dose of Ms. Aston’s signature self- deprecating humor. I felt like I was in a Red Bull advert – this story gave me wings – and a perma grin for days.
Chloe is a school teacher whose dating life is one disappointment after another, thanks, in large part, to the crushing social anxiety she suffers from. She relates to her second graders far better than she does to people her own age. As her friends start forming families of their own she’s so desperate to turn things around she resorts to “Dating for Dummies”. On one of these disastrous dates she meets Boyd – in an interrogation room – after her ticket counterfeiter date abandons her holding the bag on the 50 yard line of the Eagles game. He is hot AF – spank bank material for sure- but totally out of her league. Her embarrassment, and attraction, come roaring back ten-fold a few days later when she sees him again at the hospital. He’s there to meet his new niece, Sophie’s baby girl, Christine. Chloe puts it all together and suddenly realizes he’s the Boyd her squad has been gently trying to fix her up with – a fact that sends he anxiety into overdrive.
Boyd is perfect. A sexy as Hell, bad ass, wisecracking agent connected to the cyber crimes unit – he is almost the cliché chick lit hero. Sexy, sometimes sarcastic, arrogant, alpha. But what made him perfect in my eyes was his kindness. At the end of the day, he’s a Good Man. Something we don’t see enough of in this genre. He sees something special in Chloe and it doesn’t take him long to figure her issues out. But rather than “one and done”, he loves her enough to gently, patiently carve a place for himself in her life. The way their story unfolds is sweet and sexy and perfect for them. The slow build of emotion really sold this story for me. In a market full of angsty lust and insta-love, I welcome this slow, sexy, sweet smouldering story.
“We’re not dating. We’re Chloe and Boyding.” sighhhhhh
God, I just love this book. Every girl needs their Boyd.
Love Jana Aaron’s books!!
5 “Are you going to handcuff me?” Stars
Jana Aston knows how to write the funny with the sexy. She knows how to write the younger girl with the older guy. She knows how to hook me from the first page and not let go until the very end. All in all, Chloe and Boyd are AH-mazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better end to this series of standalones.
“I can teach you anything you want to know.”
We first meet Boyd in Wrong when we find out he is Sophie’s half-brother. He’s a Federal Agent and he’s gorgeous. When he finally meets Chloe, it’s because she is on a date from hell and her date has been arrested. She’s being held for questioning. Yep, perfect way to meet a hot guy.
Chloe is awkward on her good days and totally overcome with social anxiety on her not so good days. She knows this is a problem for her, but she tries to push through it. After watching all of her friends fall in love, she knows she has to put herself out there. She turns to the trusty dating apps and websites, but keeps finding duds. Or maybe she’s the dud. The jury is still out on that one.
Let’s be honest, she tells knock, knock jokes when she’s nervous. And she’s nervous a lot.
“We can work on appropriate conversations you should be having with an adult male.” As long as that adult male is me.
When Boyd stumbles upon one of these horrible dates, he sits extra close and watches the date spiral downhill. He then offers up his ‘pretend dating’ services. This should be perfect.
“Since it’s not a real date I assume you won’t be nervous and thus less disastrous,” I answer. “Unless I make you nervous?” I add slowly, with a slight frown, as if the idea has just occurred to me. It hasn’t. I know I make her nervous and it probably makes me an asshole, but I like it.
Chloe is given this perfect opportunity to hang out with a guy and it not go to complete shit because it isn’t real. Right?! But why is this beautiful man spending time with her? He can’t be hurting for dates because, well, he’s gorgeous.
‘Nice’ isn’t really at the top of my descriptive words for Boyd Gallagher. Words like ‘gorgeous,”cocky,”nosy,”fit,”sophisticated,”chiseled’ and ‘resourceful’ come to mind. But ‘nice’ works too.
As Boyd and Chloe slip into what is clearly a relationship, Chloe stands firm on the ‘we’re just friends who owe each other favors’ side of things. But, honestly, that should all go out the window with that first kiss.
I have her pressed against the open door and my lips on hers before she even looks up. She freezes. Four long seconds. Maybe five.
Holy shit, Boyd Gallagher can make you forget. His lips can drive every single thought out of your head. Well, maybe not every thought, because I managed to have a whole slew of inappropriate ones while his lips were pressed to mine.
So, there are lots of awkward times and lots of sweet times and lots of sexy times. And since we know there are sexy times based on the teasers Jana posted for the book, I’m gonna go ahead and include some of those in this review:
“Do you want to sit on the bed or kneel on the floor?” She tilts her head back to meet my gaze.
“What’s hotter for you?” she asks.
“Get on your knees.”
“Would you do that?” Her tongue darts out and wets her lips and she’s pressed her legs together trying to get the friction she needs on her clit.
“Do what?”
“Come on me.”
“Is that an invitation?”
“Yes.” She nods. “I want you to. I want to watch.”
This book is super low angst, which I am extremely thankful for. I did not need a high-angst book at this moment and Jana delivers. Low angst, hot sex, amazing alpha-man. It all adds up to one of her best books yet. I can’t believe this series of standalones is over. It has been one wild ride. I can’t wait to see what else Jana has in store for us. I’m sure it’ll be great!
This girl is a fucking whirlwind to my common sense. She makes me think about forever with her when I haven’t even nailed her down to the next date.
