With sharing the true light, there is always a cost. Aura Scott didn’t want to move house, but her father didn’t give her a choice when he wanted an escape after the car accident that nearly killed them both. Trying to survive in a literal ghost town is never fun, but add in the neighbours from hell, well it’s becoming a nightmare.Maxx and his brother have dark secrets, and Aura might want to … dark secrets, and Aura might want to run when she finds out the truth.
When two strangers move into Maxx’s house across the street, Aura finds out there is more than just secrets to be frightened of.
When light appears, so does darkness…

Great characters, hot guys, and aliens need I really say more? It starts with Ura in an accident where strange things happen which forces her to move to a new town with her dad once he is better. Things look normal at first with one nice neighbor boy and one arrogant jerk one. Then enter the alien part of the story and I was totally hooked though I was really getting into it before that. Great build up, wonderful characters, and a story that draws you in what more can you want? I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Blurb: interesting, yet hesitate to read. End result: wow.
An enthralling book about aliens; I normally don’t like to read about aliens, I would rather watch it, but with Bailey’s, riveting. I was gripped from the prologue. (As I was reading this book, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the show Star-Crossed and the movie I Am Number Four, lol.) Bailey converted me from not liking to read about aliens to me liking and anticipating for the next book, that’s high praise.
I am ashamed to admit that while reading True Light, I couldn’t help but root for a certain character but the joke’s on me.
(I received and ARC for a honest review.)
I think this may be my favorite story by Bailey so far. For those of you who have read this sauthor before, this story is not RH. I really like the world that Bailey has created. Aura, aka Ura, moved to a new town and there is something strange and familiar about the neighbor, Maxx. Maxx is hot and cold with Ura, but they are down to each other. Ura is a great MC. I like how she handles the shocks in her life. I also like, Maxx’s Brother, Landon. He is a great BFF. There is a big twist at the end, and the story ends on a cliffhanger, so hopefully the next book is out soon!
I am completely hooked. I absolutely love the characters and their story is brilliant. Maxx and Aura are characters you won’t forget. They are soulmates who can’t be together I can’t wait too read what is going too happen next.
Start-Cross Lovers… so good!!!!
This was crazy good from start to finish! I loved it so much! So much heart and heartbreak at the same time! Aliens from two different planets live on earth and only one can have it all. Light versus Dark. Fated Soulmates but both from different lights! . So many vibes!! A huge heartbreaking cliffhanger! On to the next book!#PinkHairDontcare
This was something completely different than what I expected! I’m so excited for this series. This idea was something new to me. I loved it. Since this was a new concept for me, the plot took me completely by surprise. Even now, I’m just blown away. This series will be very different from others. I will be re-reading this book because it’s one of those that comes back to you after a couple days. I want the next book so badly. The world building and the backstory so far is going good. I’m can’t wait to see where this author takes us!
Overall: 4/5
Whew – love where this goes
Absolutely loved this story! Don’t often read YA, but I’m so glad I took the chance on this book! The author is exceptional in creating characters and making you feel like you are a part of the story. You’ll love the story of Ura and Maxx, and you may even fall in love with some of the secondary characters – an excellent sign of a true storyteller! Sit back, grab on to your reading device and enjoy the ride!
I have mixed feelings about this book. I think the storyline itself is fantastic. I struggled with the relationship aspect of the story. Aura seems like a good character. She is smart and knows exactly what she wants. But Maxx.. he was an asshole. I feel like is animosity towards Aura was a bit much. I understand the reason he tries to push her away but there is being an asshole and then theres being an asshole . I just think he kept leading Aura on and it annoyed me. Maxx just did absolutely nothing for me.
I enjoyed everything else about this book. I am so excited that this story is about aliens. I haven’t read a good alien book/seres in forever! I am excited to see what Aura can do and what the heck is going on with the Darks and Aura’s mom!! I need the next one!
I really don’t have the correct words to describe this book.
So all I’m going to say is I absolutely loved this story but to me the cliffhanger was kinda brutal which I definitely can not wait until the next book because I have to know what happens to Ura.
The constant building and releasing was awesome in this book it kept me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Basically G. Bailey definitely knows how to weave a very interesting story that keep you hooked from the beginning right up until the very end.
Which if you haven’t read any of her work before then I highly suggest that you do because I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed at all.
So yes I definitely do recommend this book because I think it’s really great.
