Five guys. One bar. And a whole heap of sexy trouble…Dante Delgado is arrogant, mysterious… and sexy as hell. He’s also my brother’s best friend, which makes him seriously off-limits — until one of our infuriating fights turns into a steamy make-out session. Now, all bets are off.I know he’s trouble, but I can’t stay away. The chemistry between us is burning out of control, but Dante’s hiding … control, but Dante’s hiding something behind that bad boy smile, and his secrets could destroy us both.
Am I heading straight for heartbreak? Or can this troublemaker open his heart for the right woman?

My favorite of the Rascals series!
I’ve read book 3 and 5 and both were good but proofing needs to be done better. There were some spots where names were wrong and sentences didn’t make sense. Also in book 3 Alex and Emerson got engaged but in book 5 it talks about them hopefully getting engaged. I did like the story lines though.
I have loved every book in this amazing series. I had thought that Sawyer and Gabi were my favorite couple, but after reading Dante and Hayley’s book, I have to say that they have stolen my heart completely. My heart broke for Dante after reading about his painful childhood, but it just made me fall that much more in love with him. Hayley’s passion to give back and to help out worthy charities makes her as beautiful inside as she is on the outside.
The author did an fantastic job on this book as well as all of the other Rascal books……I highly recommend all 5 books.
I love this series so much!!! I couldn’t wait for Dante’s book to come out! FINALLY! IT. HAS. ARRIVED!! And boy did it arrive in style, like Katie always does!!
Dante and Hayley have beating around the bush with each other for far too long, and FINALLY it’s their story!! They both come from very different backgrounds, and boy do they clash on some things.
Dante is her brothers friend from college, and her brother and surrogate brothers own a bar. But Dante was different. He didn’t feel like a brother to Hayley, and Hayley didn’t feel like a sister to Dante.
They stayed their distance from one another as they knew the pull was there for both of them. Since Hayley came back and started helping with the bar Rascals. Dante knew he had to stay away as her brother would come for him. He knew it. But he couldn’t stay away too much longer.
The pull was too strong and BAM! Got them both. Hayley is on a date, and finds Dante in a surprising situation. He knows he needs to protect her at all costs, or his brother will really kill him. Oh he protects her alright!
It’s all so under wraps with these two, but can they tell Hayley’s brother, and Dante’s best friend before he finds out from someone else? How will he react? How will their friends react?
I really loved the storyline for Dante cause he’s not as bad as everyone, and himself thinks. He’s really a softie and it shows in this book. Can Hayley help him with his mission and what he wants to do? Dante isn’t as much as a troublemaker they all think he is.
Katie, you’ve done it again!! I love this series so much!!!
Some of my fave quotes
1. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. It was the only thing to stop me from braining him with the wreath Gabi was unpacking. – Hayley cracks me up!! She’s one tough chick.
2. I was picturing him as shirtless, scruffy, with a tilted Santa cap and naughty grin. – See Hayley had it bad for Dante even before things became more.
3. The kind where you climb onto his lap and tell him what a bad, bad girl I had been that year. The room felt very hot all of a sudden. – Hayley can’t control herself around him LOL!
4. “But you shouldn’t have to. We need to tell him.” – Dante knew that Emerson wouldn’t like it one bit.
I had been looking forward to Hayley and Dante’s story. There are elements of the bad boy and princess, but each hide their true selves. The story is steamy as expected with this author. The usual characters we have grown to like and love.
The only continuity point was the mention of Emerson looking at getting engaged to Alex, this had already taken place in a previous book.
So I have been waiting for Dante and Hayley’s story since the moment we met both of these characters in the first book Rascals I could tell these two characters had something between them and I loved the tension between them.
Hayley was so cute, I loved her so much. She had so many different sides to her and I loved that. She acted super innocent and yet in the next moment she could be a master seductress. I loved that she could brush Dante’s attitude off when it came to some things and that she was basically the only one that could boss him around at times and I really liked that. I loved how excited Hayley got about Christmas it was so cute and that she went full blown Christmas in the bar!
Dante he was such a mystery throughout the other books and in this one, we get to know more about him and I loved knowing more about him. There were a few surprises one thing I didn’t expect was in his underground poker like we know the guys like to play poker but how deep it went. That was a surprise! I love how grumpy Dante can be it’s so cute and at times it was hilarious.
These two characters have so much sexual tension and chemistry between them that you could literally feel it between them. I love it when a writer can make me feel like that when it comes to books and Katie McCoy is amazing at that and has never failed in that. I love her writing so much. The kiss that the two characters shared first off was full of fiery angsty passion and it was fantastic! I loved it. The sex scenes were written very well and they were very hot!
The plot overall was good I thoroughly enjoyed it I think from the moment we met Nicky I kind of guessed where it was going which I didn’t mind because the romance took the centre especially when it came to Emerson finding out about Hayley and Dante. I liked how their relationship played out. It was a really enjoyable cute angsty hot read! The story broke my heart at times especially when halfway through Dante decided it would be best for Hayley if they weren’t together and man that was hard to read but it was done so well.
I am very sad this series has ended now and that this was the last of the Rascals series so I am going to have to entertain myself with her other books!
Troublemaker was the perfect opposites attract love story, and by far, my favorite of the entire series!
Since first meeting Dante in Rascal, we’ve known little to none about him except how secretive and mysterious he is. His rugged and masculine sex appeal has been tantalizing readers since book one, and we’re finally given his story and what really lurks behind his stoic façade.
Hayley we’ve also known since book one. We’ve known her as Emerson’s little sister. Feisty, compassionate, with a quirky sense of humor, Hayley is the completely lovable and energetic best friend everyone wished they had.
Dante and Hayley’s relationship is very different compared to the relationships of the characters in the previous books. Having been in each other’s lives for years, their interactions with one another have built an atmosphere of sexual tension and conflicting emotions and actions. Their undeniable attraction towards each other forces them both to realize that the harder they resist their chemistry, the harder the possibility of falling in love. But where one is willing to risk it all for love, the other can’t accept that they will ever deserve that same love in return.
I’m incredibly sad this series has come to an end, but I’m super excited for what’s to come from the author. Her stories are fantastically written, with equal parts humor and heart. I’ve been a forever fan since reading Royal Player and have loved every book that has come since then. Can’t wait for more!
5 Stars!
