13 years ago, my mother made a deal with the devil.
Only, she didn’t tell me she made it.
She said I was going to live with an aunt and an uncle. She said I’d be safe. She said this was the life she wanted for me.
Now I’m 18, but the debt my mother owes is far from paid.
There’s only one person who’s able to wipe the slate clean and erase my debt, but I have a problem because Harrison … problem because Harrison O’Conner isn’t the type of person who’s going to have a change of heart when he realizes what the terms of my mother’s agreement were or where I really came from.
Or what his father planned for me.
Harrison’s dad has raised me, groomed me, to be the perfect wife for him one day, but I don’t want to marry Harrison. I don’t want to be his trophy. I don’t want anything to do with the O’Conner family legacy.
Even if he is handsome.
Even if he does take my breath away.
Even if he is…
A troublemaker.
TROUBLEMAKER is the second book in the BULLIES OF CRESCENT ACADEMY series. This is a panty-dropping, page-turning series that’s going to knock your socks off. This story includes sexual situations and graphic depictions of bullying and aggression. All characters are over 18. Not for the faint of heart.

Frank makes her weight herself, telling her that she owes him for taking her in. Adalee is dreading on going home for winter break. Frank is a bully not only to Adalee but in a way his own son Harrison too. Harrison has a reputation to up hold at school. Not that he likes acting like a bully to everyone but he doesn’t know if his father Frank has spies watching his every move or not. Harrison isn’t looking forward to going home either. Harrison knows that there is something up with Adalee and doesn’t know how to help her. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. This was supposed to be a “high school bully romance” story but it read more like an enemies to lover type of story. It was okay. Better than book 1.

The circumstances surrounding how Adalee (FMC) ends up living with the hostile and conviving Frank O’Connor alludes her for most of the book. Other than its part of a debt her mother amassed and she is living there and has to do everything Frank tells her too to pay it off. Other complications include the golden boy his son Harrison. Which on the surface it looks like theyre one big happy family but behind closed doors things are far from perfect. The genius of this book is for all his gruff, bitterness Harrison isnt the bully (or thats how i saw it) the bully is his father. It made a different spin on the bully genre i think. I loved the turn about for Adalee and Harrison towards the end of the book. It was a clever plot twist. I totally loved reading this book. Its a damn good read
Well written story with great characters who were well developed. Ther connection and chemistry between Adalee and Harrison is intense and strong. They have both been manipulated by Harrison father for most of their childhood. They find that they are stronger together and finally stand up to the man to embrace their HEA. Highly recommend. More tender than dark
It’s a good new episode in this series which begins with an event that will carry the story: the separation of a 5-year-old girl, Adalee, whom her mother leaves with a man without the little girl knowing why.
The tale is moving because we also quickly understand the manipulation Adalee went through afterwards and which still weighs on her as she studies at the same school as Harrison, the son of her tormentor. Adalee and Harrison hate each other as they attract each other.
The story is also quite tender because ultimately the dark part is not that much or it is not described, but reported. The story is more romantic than tortured or very dark.
I was a little disappointed with the last chapter which cuts the story short. I would have liked to have had a few more details on the rest of the lives of the two characters, as well as the life of Harrison’s father.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Easy book to read I love hearing both sides in different chapters. An easy follow along book with good characters.
Oh wow….this book took my breath away…. Adalee has been practically starved and emotionally manipulated and threatened for thirteen years by the man that her mother left her with before she walked away to never be seen again.. he has been raising her to be the perfect bride for his only son!!!!
I really recommend that you read this book…therefore the very vague description of the book.

Who is the actual bully and how far will they go?
Troublemaker is the second book in the Bullies of Crescent Academy series. Having not read the first book, You Suck, I was not sure what to expect, as I don’t read very many “bully romance” books. But I have read a lot of Sophie Stern’s PNR and liked them so I thought I would give Troublemaker a read.
I thought the story of Adalee and Harrison was well written with had some interesting plot twists to the story. Adalee’s story can bring more than a few tears to your eyes as you read. Harrison’s father, Frank, is the real bully who lords his power and money over both Adalee and Harrison to control them both. But Harrison has also learned how to be a bully and is almost as bad as Frank, but in a different way. She has been raised by the family, well actually groomed through the years, for a future that she has no say in. It is a future that has been orchestrated by Frank for both her and Harrison. All she wants is to live her life the way she wants and is trying to find a way to escape. But will the devil(s) keep her chained to the family or will be be able to break free? Or if she breaks free will she make the choice to come back or stay away?
I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Sophie has a way of writing misdirections. I was so sure I know who the Bully in the story was until I realized that I was totally wrong about three-quarters into the story.
