Colton: When Kyle Wolffe walks into the math course I teach at the University of Michigan, I think I might die of temptation. There are so many reasons I should keep my hands off him, no matter how handsome the younger Leo DiCaprio look-alike is. He’s not only a student at the school, but he’s also my Teaching Assistant for this year. Not to mention that I’m currently a professor on probation, … professor on probation, due to a BS allegation made up against me by a female student who was upset I wouldn’t be with her. The reason I wouldn’t be even remotely interested in her–or any woman–is because I’m gay, but I’m closeted. Coming out would help me beat the charge but I didn’t ever picture being forced to do it this way.
Yet when Kyle runs into his own trouble due to anti-gay bullies, it’s time to decide what kind of life I want to live. Will I be able to stop myself from taking what we both want? And if so, will it cause more problems for both of us? Or will love give me the strength to testify honestly in Kyle’s case, as well as my own?
They say love conquers all and I sure hope that’s true. Because both of us are in a heap of trouble and right now it seems that being together could just make it worse.
But still I can’t seem to stop myself from pursuing the attraction I feel for him, no matter what the risk.

OMG! No one should have to go through what these two did. I wavered between rage, tears, and heartbreak as I read. I was so frustrated by the committee inquiry about “Kyle’s” incident! That was a joke, the way they gave abusers a free pass and accused the victims!
Seeing red!!! I was so appalled and incensed that the students felt it was their right to hurt others not like them, and even profit from lies! Devastating! They were unconscionable and soulless louts!! I disagree with their final punishment. It should have been more severe, because they meant harm and death to their victims and made several attempts and should pay dearly. Colton was such a positive influence on Kyle and did a great job of nurturing and caring for him. The fact that Colton and Kyle each were willing to give up their dreams for the other melted the last part of my heart- selfless love.
This book kept me on an emotional rollercoaster ride with a storyline that was well written, a plot that flowed smoothly from page to page and characters that were written with such great detail and depth that I remained totally engaged throughout the entire book!
This author has done it again. He writes intense stories and right from the beginning I have a hard time putting it down. I don’t think there is much worse than being bullied. This story sure points out how dangerous it can turn. Colton seems to be in situations that threaten his career though its not his fault. His instant attraction to Kyle sets him up to decide if he takes the attraction further or not. Kyle is similarly attracted to Colton. He is also in a place where he is subjected to being bullied. As the attraction progresses and the different issues are given focus I could not wait to see the resolutions. I feel this author handles the relationship and the trouble so realistically I felt I was reading a true story. The sex is more than hot. It has the twitchy grade of +10. The story ends with everything resolved so I felt satisfied even though I had to wonder where these two would have gone from here. I can’t wait to see what will be next.
This is a well written book with strong , well developed characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job developing their story and pulling you in with all the drama, anxiety and fear as well as the steamy romance. He brings tons of emotions and brings the story to life with his detailed scenes. The supporting characters play a huge role in this story with the homophobic attitudes and violence being their biggest obstacle. You can feel the love and support Colton gives Kyle on the way to their HEA. I enjoyed reading their story and would recommend this book.
