“You don’t belong.”No words whispered in anger have ever rung more true. They’re the Kings of Brayshaw with the world at their feet, destined for greatness and in need of control. I’m the girl from the gutter with nothing to offer and as defiant as they come. They say it doesn’t matter, that I’m one of them now, and nothing could ever change that. Not even me, should I dare try.But they’re wrong.… dare try.
But they’re wrong.
They underestimate how far I’ll go to protect them.
Trouble is coming…and they have no idea.

Trouble At Brayshaw High is the the highly anticipated follow up to Boys of Brayshaw High, and should be read only after having read book one.

I can’t belive I just looked and I had not written up my review of this book!! Once again Meagan has brought her A game to her books and yes there was definately Trouble happeing at Brayshaw for Raven and he boys.
Just when I thought I had it all figured out, BAM!!! I have more questions and theories of why things happened and what will become of my girl RaeRae and the men in her life. They have already proven that their loyalty is to each other and will always have each others backs even when they have doubts.
Like I said I have soooo many questions that I wish I could pick Meagan’s brain, which I also know I am not the first one. There are sooo many treasures in this hunt to find out the connections between the families involved that I will definately need to re-read to see if, no that I know I missed. It is just like a movie that I have seen a hundred times that I find I missed a key point which changes my view and how I understand the story so much more.
Well now to wait for the next one and sit on the many questions I have.
So, so much happening in this follow up book to Boys of Brayshaw High!
I really enjoyed Boys of Brayshaw High, and was so looking forward to learning more about these boys, and their girl Raven, in book two. however with the many plots, subplots and characters there was little time or words available for character growth for Raven and the boys.
I would have loved to feel more engaged with these characters and more immersed into the story, reading how they interact with each other and outsiders, however I continued to only learn about them on the surface, not really “knowing” and understanding why they may do what they do.
And it may be as simple as me wanting to know as much as possible as soon as possible as I do suffer from FOMO (), and maybe I will get the character depth I so desperately crave in the final book in this trilogy.
I have enjoyed Meagan’s previous work, and I am definitely interested in where the boys and Raven end up in Brayshaw book three!
A must read!!!! But get ready to get effed up!!!
Meagan Brandy has done it again!!! This book was amazing!!! And I can not wait to read the next installment of Bradshaw!!!
I did have an issue with the amount of reassurance that Raven seemed to need at the beginning of the book. It felt a little like filler. However I love the dynamic characters in this story and the amount of drama that surrounds them!
“He likes my crazy, and I want his madness. It’s pretty f***ing simple.” – Raven
Raven will do whatever it takes to protect her boys, Maddoc, Captain, and Royce. She is even willing to work with their enemy in order to keep them safe. When the truth comes out and the boys come for her, their world is once again, tilted on its axis when Daddy Brayshaw lets them know he’s coming home. As the four try to put together the puzzle with the pieces they are being given, Maddoc and Raven grown closer. When a bombshell is dropped, a bombshell that none of them are prepared for their world seems even more tilted. As they try to figure out how everything will fit together, Daddy Brayshaw issues a command. The question is, will the boys do as he asks, or will they fight back?
This is the second book in the Brayshaw High series and let me just tell you, this book was even better than the first. I have never been on red alert reading as much as I was in this book. This book was journey, an emotional roller coaster that I never want to get off of. Meagan slayed me in the first book, and then put me back together only to slay me once again. This woman is the QUEEN!! She writes the most angst filled books that I can’t get enough of. Her writing is absolute gold. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. The relationships that all 4 of the main characters have together is out of this world and the way they fight for each other is something beautiful to watch unfold. I will say, I hate that this was a cliffhanger (again) but that just gives me that much more anticipation waiting for book 3!!
It physically pains me to 3 star this one. Meagan has limitless potential as a writer. Her other books and ideas are well toned, sculpted stories of great characters.
Book one in this series was such a departure and I found Raven so surprising, refreshing and so close to female DGAF perfection; that book 2, just doesn’t hold up to the bar for me. The slow character progression is my main frustrating point in TaB. We spent the whole of book 1, cheering Raven on and falling in love with the “boys.” Only to have them back track and seemingly become less mature versions of themselves in this one. Yes, it’s a young adult book; yes they can act “young and dumb”; but at a certain point, they need to grow and evolve. It could be my fault for wanting it to happen sooner than is written. But it just ended up a major factor for me throughout the book.
I also felt some of what other people have mentioned. That the story lacks a clear direction; there is a lot going on. I can keep up pretty well, but again; at some point there needs to be a clear goal and one or two clear storylines that emerge. Otherwise, the true story gets muddled. And that’s a heartbreaker for me. Because I loved where it was going in book 1.
Reading “trouble”, there seems to be almost repetition of some of the plot points/issues I thought we had come past in book 1. It’s never fun as a reader to work backwards in a series.
There are a few surprises in this one; like we’ve come to expect and it is book 2 in a trilogy! So you had to know it was coming!
It might sound like I didn’t enjoy this one, it’s not true. I love some of the characters; hey cap, call me. And I will read book 3 and the future roll outs from Meagan. I do have hope that as the series and characters progress….so will my love for the series as a whole!
I had to wait days, yes days, after finishing this book (which I read in one day), before I could post a review. I am now planning to go back in for a reread. I have been in our therapy session (AKA FB Spoiler Group) hashing theories and ideas out with my fellow BrayGirls and am only now emotionally stable enough to write this review. Sounds crazy, huh? Well, this book will twist your mind up like a pretzel and then fry it up for a snack.I
This book is so wonderfully great. Meagan knows how to write angst in a way that gets to your gut. TAB picks up right where BOBH left off and we get more of Rae doing what she does best, charging headfirst and making decisions on her own without consulting anyone else. She has never had anyone in her corner before and hasn’t gotten used to the fact that the boys will move Heaven and Hell for her. We see a lot of growth in Rae, Maddoc, Cap, and Royce; however it does come at great expense.
Collins shows more of his true colors, and more mystery is unveiled about the Brayshaws and the Gravens, which muddy the waters even more. New players come in to snarl up the already complicated living situation our four find themselves in. And the cliffhanger!!! Meagan, PLEASE hurry with Book #3 which will conclude Maddoc and Rae’s story!!!! I would give this book 10 Stars if I could!!! IT IS AMAZING!!! BEST SERIES OF THE YEAR!!!!
This is still my current state even if I finish reading the book a few days ago, I just cannot stop thinking about it and what happened or what’s to come.
“To love you would mean to let go of a part of me, the part that I worked damn hard to get–understanding and accepting I need no one to survive, knowing I can do this all on my own without a helping hand or dropping to my knees.”
Trust me when I say that neither I or anyone else can be ready for this second book in the series that picks up right where Boys of Brayshaw High left.
There are many twists and turns that kept me mouth opened and hearth beating so hard that I thought I’ll have a heart attack of something.
Big Man and Raven couldn’t be more perfect together and still, they have to go through a lot of troubles to find true love and everything that comes with it: full trust and the opportunity to just let go and only live the moment without fear of what’s to come or who to trust fully without losing oneself.
“You feel like I do, but you’re fighting it. Why?”
“I almost became her for him, for you. Is that what love is? Venom in your veins driving you to throw out all morals and self-respect for the sake of someone else? Without hesitation, and little to no remorse?”
Prepare yourself for an unexpected ride with the boys and Raven in the same great writing and a story that will blow your mind for sure.
Holy Crapola! This book is SO freaking awesome! Trouble at Brayshaw High picked up right where book one, Boys of Brayshaw High, ended. It is full of twists and turns that I never saw coming. I think I may love Raven, Maddox, Captain and Royce even more now. These four are put through a lot of stuff in this book. Meagan Brandy definitely knows how to grab your attention and keep it. I was so engrossed in this story that I couldn’t do anything else until I finished it. I’m anxious to read the next book in the series. I can’t wait to get all my questions answered. I definitely recommend this series and I have already told my reading buddies they must read it.
So I’ve been impatiently waiting for some more of the sexy Brayshaw Boys and sassy Raven. Once I dove into the book, I was taken into their world and sucked in something fierce. I was surprised again and again and enthralled by it all
I couldn’t set it down and step out of their world!! I wanted all the answers! As soon as Meagan answered one thing, she hit us with another shot and left us wondering what is coming! I absolutely loved it all though!!
6 Brayshaw Royalty Stars!!
WHAT THE HELL DID MEAGAN BRANDY JUST PUT ME THROUGH?!
Really, homegirl? You’re just going to end TaBH like that?!
Gaaaaaaaaaaah!
I thought book one was good. I thought I knew where book two was going to lead into. I. WAS. SO. WRONG!
The boys are back, and they’re better than ever. So worth the wait, but really, I don’t like waiting. At all! So, what the hell am I suppose to do now until book three releases?!
Raven is the baddest bitch on the block. She continues to be fierce, and I love that it hasn’t changed one bit. No matter the amount of twists and turns that take place in this book, she continues to handle it all like her very first day at Brayshaw High.
I swear, it felt like Trouble and Brayshaw High had three different climaxes. We jump through one hurdle, just to get stuck in another.
I loved every minute of it.
No, no. I’ll keep it vague, because from page one to page END, it’s a completely intense ride.
I’m just going to start a petition to ban cliffhangers, either that, or make these damn authors foot my medical bills, because my poor heart can’t handle this much anxiety, lol.
Just….wow. I needed to give myself time to let it all percolate and sink in.
Trouble at Brayshaw High starts immediately after the cliffhanger ending of the first book. I was so anxious to start reading – how would the situation be fixed?? Fear not, dear reader, Meagan Brandy treats us well.
The twists and turns and secrets just kept on coming, leaving you on the edge of your seat for the entire read. Raven is just as impulsive and protective as ever, but she starts to show some maturity as she finally accepts her feelings. Maddoc is a more prominent POV, highlighting his protectiveness and depth of feelings.
And let’s not forget Royce and Captain; their characters both get some development and depth.
Trouble at Brayshaw High ends on another mind blowing cliffhanger, leaving us all begging for more.
Emotions. So many emotions I’m drowning in them after reading this book!
Meagan Brandy is an evil genius.
“Family runs deeper than blood, yet it’s the ones we chose we’ll so willingly bleed for.”
I will admit this one was a little bit slower for me to get into than the first one was, but when it picked up boy was I hooked. I literally read this through the night and finished it at 6am. My sleep schedule is shot, but it was worth it.
Raven and the boys are back and ready to roll in Trouble At Brayshaw High. And after that ending in book one I know we’ve all been dying to get our hands on TAB. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint.
“Welcome to the other side of the spectrum, Brayshaws. Your very own queen might just dethrone you.”
So much crazy shit happens in this one. So much I just did’nt see coming. I feel like the angst in this one was a little bit higher than the first book, which i’m all for. And if you haven’t read her other book ‘The Wrong Blaze’ you’re going to want to because there is a really cool tie into that book as well and we get a cameo from some of those characters.
As always Raven is so kick ass in this book. I truly love her character. We get more development with her in this one and get to see more of her background.
Ugh, and the push and pull between her and Madoc and their relationship, loved it.
“He likes my crazy, and I want his madness. It’s pretty fucking simple.”
And of course we can’t forget the other two boys! Love Royce as always and I honestly think Cap has become my favorite. And I cannot wait for his book. My boy deserves his happy ending after whatever chaos we get in his book.
And again Meagan leaves us with another cliff hanger that has me dying to get my hands on book three! Can’t wait to see where this crazy story line is going.
If you loved Boys Of Brayshaw High you’re absolutely going to devour this one.
I have zero clue how I’m supposed to form a review let alone a spoiler free one. This book picks up right where we left off and it was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout.
Raven is by far my favourite female character of 2019 and I want to be her when I grow up. She is so strong and independent. And holy hell Maddoc. Yes please!!
Now I need the next one!!
Well the wait is finally over!!
And let me say it was well worth it and more This is one epic series. Oh my this book captivates you from page one all the way to the end…. Then you just want it to keep going!! I couldn’t put Raven, Maddoc, Cap and Royce down we have become attached to them all and I cant wait to finish Big Man and Raes story
I can’t put into words just how awesomely beautiful this book is!!! I’m not a huge fan of cliff hanger books but man I’m hooked on Brayshaw!!
Thank you Meghan for such a well written epic series! This is definitely my favorite!! Cant wait for book 3 ro finally get some answers lol
What a wicked follow up for such an amazing series!
I was on tender-hooks reading this book!
I never knew what was coming…the element of surprise is off the charts in this book!
Kicking off right where the first book left us we are thrown into Brayshaw chaos with abandon!
These Brayshaw boys don’t suffer fools easily and it was so fulfilling watching the dramas unfold as the tight knit bond between the boys and Raven only tightened and solidified!
Written in that way that allows you, as the reader, to completely submerge yourself in the storyline – this book and series will not disappoint!
Now let the countdown begin for the next installment!
BRING IT ON!!!!
Such a captivating story!! so many twist and turns!! so many revelations!! and holy cow the ending left me speechless!!!
I thought the first book in this series, The Boys of Brayshaw High, was spectacular and wondered how Meagan Brandy could ever top it with the second book. I don’t know how she did it, but she succeeded beyond my wildest imagination. This book is fantastic! The writing, the characters, the plot twists…oh, and, of course, the Boys! I can not wait for Book #3! If you want a wild, sleepless night with an emotional hangover while you put life on pause and speed read, but also savor every word of your “precious”, then pick this up now! 20 Stars!
Disclaimer: You must read Boys of Brayshaw High BEFORE you read this book!
Okay, now that that’s out of the way, if you have read the first installment of this AMAZING series, you would have some preconceived notions about what will happen in this book. Forget them all!!! Throw them right out the window because you will never in a million years guess all the twists and turns and ups and downs you will experience with this book!!! So many secrets are revealed…so many new players to the game are introduced…so many truths are unraveled…but we still don’t know what will become of our rebel gods and goddess when all is said and done. Seriously, this was an absolute page-turner and I could not put it down! Raven is so bad-a$$, but we do finally get to see some vulnerability from her, and Maddoc’s, Captain’s, and Royce’s true faces and personalities are starting to emerge from behind their masks. Kudos to the author because she writes these characters with so much depth that I could literally feel what they felt at all times throughout the entire story. I will be waiting on the edge of my seat for the next installment, that’s for sure!
I’m more in love with the boys than ever! And they were better than ever too. Raven was as awesome as before if not more, I just love this bada** chick so much.
This baby starts right as the first book left off and it’s pretty awesome to see how much the boys really love Raven and are worried about her. It’s good to see the soft side behind their power masks.
Maddoc showed just how possessive he can be and dayum that side of him was absolute fire! I loved watching him try and figure out if his girl had betrayed them or not. It was a fun and worrying game for him but so much freaking fun for us as readers. I kind of loved watching him and the other boys sweat a little. It showed just how important Raven was for all of them, she was part of their family and they all needed her. She fit them, she belonged with them. That might have been tested but she showed them just how much she belonged and that she would do anything for her boys. In Trouble at Brayshaw High we see her struggle with her love for these boys, specially her main one, Maddoc. Raven thinks love makes you weak but I think she’s the definition of how love can give you power, can make you stronger and overcome anything…and the boys are about to prove that to her and to show her how much they really care for her.
Royce was just as goofy and funny as before and gah I adore him. He’s the one who’s reaction was immediate when Raven left and he was struggling a lot without her and with not knowing what was happening. My heart hurt for him, his bond with Raven was so special to him, he was tripping without her. Captain is the most rational one of the boys and he tried to rationalize what was happening and figure it out and he knew deep down that Raven wasn’t betraying them, he knew somehow that what she was doing was for their benefit and he was going to figure it out.
As I was finishing the book, I already wanted to reread it because I just want to be immersed in this world forever!! I love it all so much, these characters, their world of rivalry, drama and family secretes, gah I just love it all! And as soon as I’m free of arcs, I will be rereading! Trouble at Brayshaw High was even more EPIC than the first book, so much happened, so many secrets came out of the closet, so many drama unfolded, and much more will come and I ain’t ready, they ain’t ready, no one is ready but we’re all excited to read it all. I hope we don’t have to wait long for the 3rd book and Raven and Maddoc’s last one. BUT Captain and Royce will be getting their own books and I could cry with how happy I am with that. I cannot wait to see which girls will make them fall in love.
