This is an insta love romance book.
Maddie and Garrett meet under unusual circumstances but instantly hit it off. Their attraction is off the charts. When Maddie finds out who he really is will she be able to handle it? Will Garrett be able to woo her back?
Madison and Garrett meet as men are breaking into her rental car at a dive of a hotel; Garrett throws himself on top of her to protect Madison as shots ring out. One thing leads to another and they end up checking into a resort. Soon things are getting hot and Garrett starts to worry about the secret he is keeping from Madison.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Kat Mizera has quickly become one of my go to authors for hockey romance. This book does not disappoint. Maddie and Hawk encounter each other on a not so relaxing vacation. This chance meeting leads into a steamy love at first sight romance. Their story is exciting but when thoughts of going back to reality set in, they both have decisions to make. The author knows her hockey and knows how to balance romance with sports. This book is a a fun read. Highly recommend especially if sports romance is your favorite genre!
A swoon worthy whirlwind novella! It goes without saying that Kat Mizera is one of my favorite authors. She always packs in so much into one story and Tropical Inferno is no different. A fast pace read, this novella was entertaining and captivating.
Despite both Garrett and Madison running in similar circles, they don’t meet until they are both in Hawaii. Both are trying to get away from life. Garrett also known as the Hawk, in the hockey world, is being suspended for something he didn’t do. Nonetheless he is suspended from playing and is told to stay low key while the entire situation blows over. Madison is trying to get away from the recurring nightmares and stress that have taken over her life due to a brutal attack on her older brother.
The chemistry between Madison and Garrett is dynamic. They are meant for one another, but what happens when they realize who the other person is? Madison has no idea Garrett is a professional hockey player, let alone one that was suspended for something he said to her brother. Garrett puts two and two pretty quickly, but not fast enough. He had already started developing feelings for Madison when he realizes she is related to Jaime Teller, another hockey player. And the reason for his suspension.
Will Madison run from him the moment she realizes who he is?
Their relationship is instantaneous, love at first sight. Madison and Garrett have a lot riding against them, but they form a bond that is hard to break. They learn to trust one another, they balance each other out, they are each other’s calm after the storm.
I loved this story from beginning to end! I wish it was longer, but I know it is a novella and not a novel. With that said, I can not wait for the next installment in this series.
5 tropical stars!
I just loved this book, the characters are great and you can’t help but fall in love with both Hawk and Madison. Madison is having the worst luck ever with her vacation which she really needs after going though so much with her brother, Hawk is on time out after some terrible words were said that make him look like the worst person ever. They both need to unwind and enjoy themselves and wanting just a holiday fling but neither of them are expecting things to go further. The book has a great pace and develops well leaving you biting your nails to see what will happen next and will they ever get their happy ever after!
4.5
Reworked and back in charge, this book is better than the original, Tropical Ice, and I adored that book!
Loved this quick romance! Hawk, although a bit at war with his feelings is in a place where he needs Maddie without realizing it. Madison needs a breathe of fresh air herself and finds it in Garrett, they find one another at just the right time.
I loved feeling like I was part of this story, every emotion come to life. I could feel the sand and water on my skin, smell the salty sea air through my nose. The sensory was great for pulling me into the story.
I would definitely recommend this book.
Kat has written another hot, steamy read!
This story is about Garrett (Hawk) Hawkins and Madison Teller. They meet on vacation where Garrett rescues Madison from a crappy motel and takes her to a beautiful resort. The attraction was instant and they start on a romance that may be threatened by a secret that may come out!
I loved every word! I couldn’t put it down! I recommend this book to everyone!
This was an amazingly sweet story. I totally loved it!
Maddie Teller needs a holiday to recover from a stressful time following a severe homophobic attack on her brother but when her friend changers her mind at the last minute Maddie has to make alternative accommodation arrangements which turn out to be less than ideal.
Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins is on suspension from his pro hockey team after being wrongly accused of making a homophobic slur.
A chance meeting lands these 2 together and sharing a suite at the hotel Maddie had dreamt of going to. Garrett then realises she is the sister of the person he is accused of refering to in the slur. He decides to hide that from her so she can enjoy her newly recovered holiday and because he is intrigued by her.
Can this last or will it blow up in his face.
Brilliant story and fantastic characters. Never judge people by appearances
Maddie and Hawk still have me falling in love. A crappy vacation turned into a wonderful romance. When Hawk realizes who Maddie is, he knows there is no future for them. He wants to savior this vacation till the end, but when the truth comes out will they be able to survive the fallout?
Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins is in Hawaii to get away from the bad press having to with his suspension from the NHL for an on ice misconduct he has been wrongly accused of. Hawk is reevaluating his life, and what will happen if his hockey career is over. Madison Teller is in Hawaii for a much needed vacation. Madison has nightmares and still struggles with the trauma of her brother’s vicious attack. Hawk and Maddie meet when he protects her when her car is being vandalized while staying at the same run-down motel. Hawk offers to let Maddie stay with him at a nicer hotel until she flies homes at the end of the week. Hawk and Madison are attracted to each other, but Hawk fears Maddie will hate him when she learns who he is and what he had been accused of. Hawk and Maddie realize they have a lot more in common than amazing chemistry. Hawk and Madison give into their attraction and agree it will only last till Maddie leaves, but they find that they are falling in love with each other. Will Hawk leave Maddie to protect her from his messy life? Can Maddie forgive Hawk for not telling her the truth? Can Hawk and Maddie get past the ugly allegations against Hawk and find their happily ever after? Kat Mizera is a MUST read author. Tropical Inferno is a fantastic story that had me laughing out loud one moment and tearing up the next. Tropical Inferno has drama, romance, and lots of hot, steamy sex. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting Tropical Inferno by Kat Mizera. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
This was a good read!! A whirlwind romance with chemistry that just jumped off my kindle. Once I started it I couldn’t put it down, finished in one sitting. I definitely need to go and read the other books in this series but I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything so they are definitely stand alones. I definitely recommend this book!! – By Tina
You cannot go wrong with a story set in Hawaii that involves a hot hockey player. There are scenes that were hot and steamy but that’s where it ended for me. I did not feel a solid connection with the characters or their story. There were times it felt rushed and not fully put together. However, I liked the notion I was able to develop while reading of never judging someone or something until you know the whole story. Not everything is always as it seems and love can prosper when people are true to themselves. I do enjoy this author overall and look forward to what she comes out with next.
This is the first time in reading this author with something about this one drawing me to it in the first place. The title I think but Garrett and Madison take me inside. I do not also read many sport ones either but this one was fun. What a hunk that turns something not good around and turns our heads also. They are not strangers after it but we follow them on the build up that pumps us up. They both have issues that need worked through it would seem they will be having someone with them to do it. Keeps you from start to finish with giving you a good one to fill you up.
Tropical Inferno by Kat Mizera is a fantastic book! Kat Mizera is the author of the popular Sidewinder Series and this book right here doesn’t disappoint at all. I couldn’t put my kindle down while reading this awesome book. This is the 4th book in Kat Mizera Inferno Series. I will definitely be reading the first three in this series. This is the second book that I have read by Kat Mizera and it will not be my last!
Tropical Inferno begins Maddie Teller in Hawaii on her vacation that she has deemed the worst vacation ever. Her best friend bailed out on her at the last moment so Maddie goes on the vacation alone where things start going wrong until she meets Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins at the same rundown hotel that she was staying at.
Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins was there in Hawaii to get away from the press and to re-evaluate his life if his hockey career ends after his five-game suspensions. He meets Maddie Teller when he shields her body after shots are fired when some thugs try to steal her rental car. The sparks between the two are spontaneous when the spend time at a different luxury hotel.
Do Maddie and Garrett have their happy ever after? You will have to read Tropical Inferno to find out! Tropical Inferno by Kat Mizera has everything that you would love in a romance. It has romance, drama, and lots of hot sex scenes. Make sure you get Tropical Inferno today! You will not be disappointed in this awesome book.
Madison “Maddie” Teller is not having a a good vacation. Her best friend bailed on her, flight toubles, lost luggage and the hotel she is forced to stay in is not what it was advertised to be. Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins a bad boy hockey player has just been suspended for five games for misconduct. They meet when Hawk saves Maddie from a dangerous situation invloving gunshots. She agrees to stay in a villa with him (not share a bed) at the Casa Blanka Resort. Their relationship moves pretty quickly from there. But Garrett has a secret that will be forced into the light. Can their relationship withstand the outing of that secret?
I loved Maddie and Hawk’s easy insta-love realtionship and was hoping that they would work it out. It was great to see Jamie and Viggo (Temptation’s Inferno) pop up in the story!
Demons are calmed and hearts are won! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins is known to be the bad boy in the rink but when he is wrongly accused of misconduct, with a 5 game suspension. He heads to Oahu to sort things out. What he doesn’t plan on is to get lost in the very beautiful Madison Teller, the sister of his friend and someone he was accused of wrong doing.
Hawk is the sexy secretive tattooed man who saves her from gunfire, but Madison is not banking on falling for him. She is looking for a distraction from the ghosts haunting her dreams.
These two beautiful I people find the one thing they both need to calm their demons inside.
Yes, ladies you get some Jamie and Viggo time as well… “Sighs”
Tropical Inferno by Kat Mizera is book 4 in the Inferno series. This is a novella but with all the action and all type of feels in the book you would never tell the difference. This is the story of Garrett and Madison and their whirlwind romance. I truly enjoyed this story and plan on working on the previous 3 books in the series. I highly recommend this book!
A fast, can’t-put-down read
Book 4 in the Inferno series, and also loosely tied to the Sidewinders series, I’m relatively new to the author as I’ve only read a couple of the Sidewinder books so far and none of the previous Inferno books. I thought this held up well as a standalone, but does include some brief appearances by previous characters and references to events from earlier books, so for the richest experience, I’d suggest reading the series in order. One note icymi: this is an updated version of Tropical Ice, which was previously part of a Kindle World.
As I’m coming to expect from this author, Maddie and Garrett are great characters, and the author drops in just the right amount of information at the right time to give you what you need without bogging down the story. There’s action right from the start, and plenty of chemistry, and the author did a wonderful job of sucking me in. We quickly find out that Garrett is hiding out from a scandal, but not knowing exactly what happened really keeps up the tension, especially as he’s sure Maddie is going to be upset and hurt over it.
A novella length story, with engaging characters plus all the action, chemistry and tension, this was a fast, can’t-put-down read for me, and I’m going back to read those earlier books I missed. 5 stars

Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins is a bad boy loyal to a fault hockey player that is taking his suspension and laying low in Hawaii. What he didn’t plan on was the sister of his friend and one of the reasons he is laying low Madison Teller crossing his path. Madison is trying to enjoy a vacation that is to get her away from the ghost that haunt her. Will the sexy man who saved her from gun fire be the man of her dreams? Will the secrets he holds destroy them? I love everything Kat and this did not disappoint.
