Trinary by Gaja J. Kos is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to brand new series for me to read and can not wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi.

This is an amazing book that I quickly became engrossed in and could not put it down. Cairo is an amazing character and I am thrilled to see another book in the future

Our crew specializes in resource redistribution, something that local law enforcement just doesn’t understand. So when they draw more attention then desirable, things go sideways fast.
This is book one of an action pack science fiction adventure. The story is well written, easy to read and full of all the elements that I love in a story. We have action, a bit of intrigue and a good dose of humor as well. I really loved the characters, each one with a unique and interesting personality and they behave just like a family with that blend of affection and irritation. Overall, a fantastic start to a series and I am definitely looking forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

It was a tough job, but their crew had done tougher. Just go in and steal nine figure pay load, during the day, when everyone is working and Cairo will go in alone to do it. No sweat.
Cairo can fly just about anywhere. Carrow can fix just about anything and he will tell you that. Donovan will screw just about anything that will move and find equipment while doing it.
They have been a successful team for the last five years…until now.
Oh the hard choices of what to write and say and not to say. Thank you Gaja J. Kos for giving me such a hard job! I am loving the ride though. It literally starts off with a bang – a bang to the head but a bang all the same. Then it has another kind of bang that I really like, so I was already thinking that this was my kind of book. (laugh).
Kos then goes into the heart of Trinary (Boris Kos, B081XSXG8N, 2020) the first of her six part “SCAR Forces Delta Faction” series. It is exciting and horrifying all at the same time. Kos throws in a little bit of sci-fi chase scenes, family drama, executions, prison torture, and sarcasm. A true sci-fi kickback read. I loved it! I have no clue where we are going and I cannot wait to find out.

Fast-paced,action-packed rush headlong into adventure, with a quick, steamy moment, a lot of hints about something intriguing and dangerous from the MC’s past, and a very well outlined dislike for authorities and rules, seemingly for a legit reason, as yet unrevealed.
The electronic voice of the robot counted down the self-destruct seconds as Cairo MacKennon sat upright in her cot and slammed her head into an overhanging shelf. She ran barefoot to the bridge, shouting for Carrow, the nerdy crew member who had messed with the robot and inadvertently started the 10-second destruct sequence. Down to 3 seconds left, Donovan Frost was still chuckling and assuring Cairo that he was sure Carrow would figure it out in time. Donovan was checking her out with a grin, at which point she remembered she had run to the bridge still in the underwear she had been sleeping in. Down to 1-second before certain death, the voice announced “SELF-DESTRUCT ABORTED. REBOOTING SYSTEM”.
Apparently the robot which had been used in construction long ago had the plans and schematics for all of the buildings in Amory’s Area 3, including the alarm systems and access points. Donovan was telling Cairo how he found the robot while they made coffee. Then Carrow called them both back to talk about the new heist his contact just lined up.
When their high-end heist goes south, the Space Combat and Retrieval Force (“SCAR Force”) goes after them with a vengeance. What they do to Cairo will not be pleasant, but they do have a history with her. This book is fast-paced and full of exciting action. We get an idea that there is lots more we don’t know yet from Cairo’s past. SCAR Force is a powerful adversary that isn’t shy to use whatever force is necessary for compliance and they definitely want to make sure she is under their complete control. Where will the story go from here? We don’t know, but you definitely will want to stay along for the ride!

Read on to see how thing begin to get really exciting.

I was initially drawn into the story with Cairo and her crews robotic find. Once things went sideways during the heist and Cairo was on the run, I was still along for the ride. The escape scene was a bit reminiscent of the taxi scene in “Fifth Element” but still it was a thrill. Where things went south for me was when she was captured and she was implanted with a controlling device.
Totally understand that SCAR is a big badie and they need to show force to keep the peace but with that device she is now subject to being abuse by any and everybody and she has no recourse or way to protect herself. Cairo is now basically less than a slave because she can’t even fight back. The story ends on a bit of cliffhanger to set you up for the next book. With this major handicap I really I am not interested in reading about her being abused in the next book. It’s a quick read where you get little tidbits of info on Cairo and what put her on SCAR’s radar to begin with, while for me the implant was a deal breaker others may be fine with it.

Trinary is the first book in Gaja J. Kos’ SCAR Force: Delta Faction series. This book introduces us to Cairo Mackennon as she attempts a heist that, of course, goes wrong.
This book feels too short and could have done much to flesh out both Cairo and the world. As is we’re briefly introduced to Donovan and Carrow. The former she is having sexual relations with and the latter is the nerd. Even though Carrow didn’t get much time in this book, I did like his nerdy character
The author is good in giving just the right amount of information so as to inform the reader but not overwhelm them. SCAR Force is shown clearly to be the bad guy not only because Cairo says so, but also because what happens near the end of the book.
Cairo’s past is a mystery and I am assuming later sequels will flesh it out. It seems she left SCAR because of some dirty secret she found out and I’d love to know what that is.
I would recommend Trinary to those who like science fiction.
