This is the first book in the series and it ends with a cliffhanger. Intended for 18+. May contain Triggers.I was raised by the Devil himself. Formed into a man who was unreachable.I went from the boy with bruises to the man with a trigger. Killing is the only thing that calms the itch. The demons inside were a constant battle… battle…
…until she changed everything.
Problem is when you spend most of your time in the dark, is it smart to step into the light?

This is one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE MC series
Warning there is a cliffhanger & we finally meet Clark !! Who the hell is the mole !!
Welcome to Devil’s Reach MC and every character you will fall in love just like me. I live every character & I hope Finn gets his own story when we all grown up, he had a fighters heart like Uncle Trig.
Tessa is running away from LA and someone called Clark…no spoilers
She comes to DR because her best friend who is more like a brother to her. Told her to come here and work behind the bar. I will admit I thought I would cheer on for Brick & Tessa to be together. Nope they truely love each other like brother & sister which you feel of the page & audiobook. This is another reason why I love this book, the friendship are fantastic and the main theme family.
Trigger I would not like to meet him in a dark allie. He is a legend and he is a well done MMA fighter and we learn he fought at a young age. His TWAT of father Allen earned money from Trigger when he forced him to do kids fights. The bloody money he fought as a child created the DR and Allen tried to kill Trigger. Trigger killed him instead and he became the Prez of the DR.
I love their relationship sooo much because she was not afraid to push his buttons and he loves it and he doesn’t know why he loves it. They saw darkness in each other and when they are together they burn
““Prince Charming is overrated, Trigger.”
This is my favourite quote cause this is when Trigger is like fuck she really doesn’t care about my darkness and she loves it when he flips his switch.
This book has everything the suspense kept me at the edge of my seat and their hot love story will burn you. It’s not the lovely romance it’s a primal animal love they have for each other. The friendships in this book are hilarious, the banter is fantastic I did nothing but smile in the book
Narrators Conner Goff & Lacie Glennox did a BRILLIANT job especially when Conner sang I keep replaying that part again and again because that hoe I imagine trigger to sound. Soon as ibheart him speak & sang I was that is him.
MUST READ & FAV & LISTEN
Wowza! I was looking for an MC read, so I searched in my Facebook groups for recommendations and found several for this series. I am so glad I picked up this box set on KU! I couldn’t put Trigger down.
The Devil’s Reach Trilogy is sexy, suspenseful, and action packed, with secrets and twists around every turn. I have enjoyed every minute of this wild ride for Tess and Trigger. If you like dark romance and all the awesomeness that comes with an MC, you’ll want to read this trilogy for sure!
Ok so finally I am getting around to my full review of Devil’s reach!! I had to take a couple of days to get myself together after getting that book hangover!!
Don’t worry there are no spoilers in this review just my complete honest opinion of this series.
But when I say this book captivated me from the beginning I mean it with my whole heart.
The bond of the Devil’s reach MC is that of a family with a few nuts thrown in.
The relationship that were made in the book couldn’t be shaken even in the darkest of time.
I laughed, I cried I yelled and rooted loudly for the characters. At one point I was screaming “Yes yes girrrl!” And people around me definitely looked at me funny. The author of this book has a way to bait you in, hook you and reel you in for the final kill.
Between the suspense, thrill, heart stopping drama and the jaw dropping sex scenes this series is definitely in my top five list right behind The Broken Trilogy!
I would and have recommended this book and the other books of this same author many many times and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Thank you again @j.l.drake. patiently awaiting your next masterpiece.

I read all three books for “Trigger.” J.L. knocked it out of the park with this one. Trigger is an angsty, Alpha male, who is rough, and looking for a traitor within his club. He’s had a rough life, and takes no crap from anyone. The man is a sexy, dark and one of the best characters I’ve seen as an MC president. Brick, his right hand man, brings in a new bartender named Tess. Immediately, Trigger has difficult emotions where she coming from. This book continues to keep me entertained, fanning myself, and wondering who this traitor is. This series is the best I have read all year! This is what an MC book should be! Well done, J.L. Drake!
Dark, Dirty, and Delicious!!!!
This is my 1st ever MC series that I read, being that it is written by JL Drake I knew I would love it and now I’m addicted to MC novels.
J.L. Drake does an amazing job portraying a Dark and Dirty MC club. This is everything you would think to read about in an MC but with a deliciously sexy man, Trigger and even sexier, Tess!
Trigger is President of Devil’s Reach and not someone you want to piss off. Tess has an insanely dark past that she is trying to escape but don’t let that fool you as she is a very strong minded female who isn’t afraid of some horny, dirty bikers.
“They’re gonna eat her alive”
The chemistry and connection of Trigger and Tess is mind-blowing. We learn how 2 damaged souls come together but refuse to admit the connection and love.
As we learned in the past J.L. Drake is known for Cliffhangers so I was expecting it but man did I want to hunt Trigger down and slap him and cry for Tess all at once..men are so stupid sometimes!!!!
Tess and Trigger have very sad childhoods that mild them into the people that they are now. Somehow they see the person inside what they show to everyone else and are able to begin the fall into love. This story is absolutely fantastic and the ending has me needing to know what comes next. A great listen!
My first introduction into motorcycle club book bad boys!
Trigger is the boss of Devils Reach MC.
He has a bad attitude/temper, until Tess comes into the bar and works her way into his heart.
The club business manages to draw her in, and because she is Triggers ‘old lady’ she is a target; by both bad men and the jealous women who want her outta the way, in hopes they can have him back to themselves.
The stuff the club is in to, and past things that have gone down, for both of the, creates stories among stories that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Tess has a past Trigger doesn’t know about, but he’s about to find out when he says something to protect her, then she’s gone.
What a roller-coaster!!! And that cliffhanger! Can’t wait to jump into the next book. Trigger makes you want to yell and scream at the book but also want to be with him to ride the ride- thats how well Jodi writes her leading man!
OMG this was so awesome! I am not a MC fan usually but I am a J.L. Drake fan so I had to give this book a try. I am so happy I did. It’s a great start to a new series and I can’t wait for the next one.!
Trigger is a man who has lived in a dark place for a long time. His sins are many and no one has been able to break down his walls.
Tess is a strong beautiful woman running from the horrors of her past, trying to start over. Thanks to her best friend, she has a place to stay and a job. However the President of the Devil’s Reach is one man she wants to understand, the question is will he let her in???
This book hooked me in and I am addicted to the Devil’s Reach MC. J.L. Drake is an amazing writer and it shows in her characters. I read this book and the rest of the trilogy in two days. I don’t think I slept!!!
This book was my first preview of MC books and holy moley did I fall head over heels in love. Trigger is dark and I love every second of it. J.L. has a way of making you fall in love with characters you never thought you would. Trigger is a wild ride so hold on tight!
ARC Review posted on: Girls Behind the Books
*I received an ARC from Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for my honest review*
I love a good biker book and trying out a new author can often be a hit or miss.
Holy hell what a freaking page turner! This is definitely dark, gripping, and very creepy
I had a feeling about this book. This book broke my heart. But I loved it so very much, despite how broken my heart is. You know that thrill when you read a book that has exactly the kind of story you like to read? .
Once I started this book I could not put it down. It was a Great read.
This book left me speechless, from the get go to the end, specially that ending, my jaw dropped from that ending, i wasn’t expecting it at all.
I can honestly say that J.L Drake has become my go-to favorite author whenever I’m in the mood for a bit of dark and steamy.
Absolutely love this series! Flip your switch Trigger!
Es un libro excelente, una lectura que esperas no termine.
Gracias por este libro tan fabuloso
This book is brutal and if you do not like reading extreme violence then I recommend that this may not be for you.
The story doesn’t flow for me and there are large gaps missing. In the beginning you go from past to present and in some cases it’s paragraph to paragraph.
I have the feeling that Tess is meant to be strong and independent who survived a brutal past but you’re just not sure because her flashbacks do not really give you any insight to what or who she has survived and then suddenly there’s a detective who is in contact from someone from her past, even though she is in another State.
Trigger is not in control of himself or what is happening around him it seems. He will happily kill anyone in his own club as well as enemies of the club. His character is better developed than Tess’s and you have insight into his childhood and relationship with his father.
I have KU and because of that I will read the next book just to satisfy my curiosity of what happens next, but if I had to buy the book then I’m not sure I’m invested enough to bother.
This could have been a good story but in parts it’s to long and other’s it’s to quick.
Okay, so… I have seen this book/series listed time and time again as THE MC book to read, it has been recommended to me many times as one of THE darkest as well. Well… I think I am too corrupted because I didn’t think this book was very dark at all. Though there was a lot if violence (graphic but not overly detailed) it was nothing darker or more disturbing then what’s currently on television. Being that it was nothing like I was expecting from all the recommendations and reviews, it’s a very good read. Because this is a story told over three books, it does end in a cliffhanger, and you do have to read the rest to get any answers, so be ready for a commitment to all three books.
Now the details: the characters were really great, I liked some more then others, but all had distinctive personalities and all played a part. Trigger might be my favorite (because I have a HUGE soft spot for the alpha anti hero). Tess was okay, there were times I didn’t really connect to her because she held back so much; but I think that will come with books two and three. Brick is an awesome best friend and I want him as my BFF. The rest of the MC boys were great as well and Minnie is a fun friend.
There is a small amount of other woman drama, but I was pleasantly surprised in that it was cleared up fast and not left to fester as so many authors choose (as a fast and easy plot device). I liked the relationship that Trigger and Tess have started and hope they stay strong through all the darkness.
The story felt like it was written following a common MC romance outline, but the story didn’t feel stale or regurgitated (for lack of a better word). I enjoyed this first third of this series and will be reading the others. I really want to know what Tess’s story is and how it fits into the rest of the story.
Heart pounding , page turning book. Tess thinks she is escaping her past and ends up in a biker bar bartending. Trigger has scars so deep I didn’t think he would ever let soul in. Tess & Trigger don’t have a typical relationship. Tess & Trigger find it very hard to trust anyone or anything. This book does end on a huge cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more of the story.
Loved it! And I’m not big on MC romance. I’m on the last book now.
Riveting, brutal, page turning story.
This is the first book I read by JL Drake and I binge read the whole series. This book/series is not for the faint of heart.
Trigger becomes president of the Devil’s Reach MC after killing his own father. Tess is escaping the control of her mother and her twisted upbringing in a Vegas brothel. How JL creates two such twisted characters and gives them hope is a work of magic.
What keeps this from a five star read is how often I had to re-read paragraphs to understand the POV. Not sure if this was intentional or an artifact of the story telling. I have since read her Broken series and did not have the same issue.
Loved it, I am reading the second book now.
