Crystal Cove is about as safe a place you can find. Aria Lowe doesn’t know if she believes that. She hates change, and lately there’s been plenty of it going on around her small town. Aria doesn’t like change; it terrifies her. Aria doesn’t need to explore things or spread her wings; what if she fell instead of flew? Imagine how surprised she is when cocky but sweet Gabe Holmes makes her feel … her feel like she’s soaring.
Gabe has lived life loud and large just about long enough-he spent most his life on the go. A stop in Crystal Cove brings sweet, gentle, and sexy-as-sin Aria Lowe into his sights. But, Gabe’s all about change and Aria has no room for that in her orderly life. Can Gabe prove to her you can stand still, and fly free at the same time?

This novella is the perfect treat that will have you head over heals for both Aria and Gabe. Aria is a strong confident woman that doesn’t have any desire to be in a serious relationship and doesn’t plan on changing her views for the future until “Hollywood” lands in Crystal Cove. Gabe too once shared the same view on relationships until he found himself in The End. These two go on a journey and one helluva adventure though haunted houses and so much more. A great steamy read that will have you looking to reenact some events yourself. Grab your copy now and join us in CC with all these beautiful loving people that capture your heart and soul. Tricky Treats is book four in the Crystal Cove Holidays series by Dee Ellis. I have read the first five books of this series and read them out of order since I read each one close to it’s corresponding holiday. This one is short, hot and sweet.
Aria Lowe is Brady’s twin sister from the previous book. She’s twenty eight years old and is the owner of the bar in Crystal Cove called The End. She has watched her brother and her friends fall in love one by one. But Aria wants nothing to do with all that romantic Happy Ever After stuff, except when it comes to her secret addiction to watching romance movies on television. But for herself, one night is all they get.
Gabe Holmes lives a life in the spotlight and he’s tired of it. His friend Brady invited him to Crystal Cove. The idea of a small, quiet town sounded perfect. As soon as he walked into the diner and saw Brady’s sister, Aria sitting there, he knew that this was where he was supposed to be.
“I came here to get lost for a while. Now I just want to get lost in you.”
Gabe has his work cut out for him convincing Aria that they can be more than just a fling. He is going to romance her, woo her, and do whatever else it takes to keep her.
These two are sizzling! Gabe is quite the dirty talker. This is a quick read, easily finished in an evening. Save it for a chilly night because it will most definitely warm you up. I like reading these shorts in between two longer books just to break things up.
Keeping it romantic and a little creepy. Lol!
Aria and Gabe. So sassy. So sexy. So right. My emotions are running all over the place. The Crystal Cove stories slay me then bring me back to where all is right with the world. I’m loving theses short stories. I’m a sucker for a romantic & steamy story but each one has no lack in the emotions they evoke. I’ll relish my time spent with Aria and Gabe. Hope to get a peek in on them in the upcoming stories.
5 Stars to Tricky Treats: Crystal Cove Holidays #4 by Dee Ellis.
One of the tropes I love reading is holidays. In this latest installment from Crystal Cove, a charming and romantic town, we have Tricky Treats. This sexy, sweet short story takes place during the Halloween season. I was thrilled to have this book because we don’t often see a ton of Halloween romances. Tricky Treats has everything I love. The fact that it has everything I love while it’s so short shows great writing talent.
Aria and Gabe…….
Aria was introduced to us in the first book, Snow Angel. Gabe however is a new addition to the charms of Crystal Cove. I really love this little town. The author did a nice job of giving me a clear picture of Crystal Cove.
Aria is not one for relationships. It’s not that she doesn’t want a happily ever after. That just doesn’t seem to be in the cards for her. She doubts there is any man who could make her want forever with. Watching her brother, Brady, fall hopelessly in love and her other friends do the same has only made her agitated and wondering if she will find that too.
Gabe is a celebrity; an actor who has come to Crystal Cove for some quiet time and reflection. What he finds is love and passion. Gabe is a bit over the top. He can be pushy and arrogant but that was exactly what Aria needed. Let’s not forget to mention how swoon worthy he is too. These two got off to a quick start. Although Aria wasn’t sure at first about where things would go, Gabe was.
As with most romances, Aria and Gabe have some hurtles to get over. However this story was not angsty. The pace flowed well and Dee Ellis has a talent for giving us personable and sexy characters. I also loved that in we got to see how some of our favorite characters from the previous Crystal Cove books are doing.
I ended this book with a huge smile. I truly love these sweet and sexy Crystal Cove Holiday romances. Tricky Treats can definitely be read as a standalone but I recommend you read them all to appreciate the charm of Crystal Cove. All four books are short and sweet.
