Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being. In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced … she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn.
Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.
Either way, she is in trouble.

This is a feel-good, fun, funny read that had me laughing and smiling all the way through. Really unique, laugh out loud reading.
Love Willa and her sexy harem. Can’t wait to read more!
excellent fantasy RH, fun interesting characters. One of my faves.
I love this series! The world building and mythology and the brothers are so awesome! I love the chaos that follows Willa wherever she goes!
You’ll love this book…
Trust me on this one!!
I love, love, love this series! Willa is so clumsy and goofy you can’t help laughing out loud. Yet in every book she manages to grow and learn about her place in the world. The Abcurse brothers are oh so sexy and dangerous yet funny and caring. I love that they have built their own little family and stand together no matter what. Every character is so unique and complex. Not to mention the world these authors have built that is unlike anything elise I’ve ever read.
this is my new favorite series!
One of her best books!
Good Read.
It was hilarious. I loved reading it. Willa is a hot mess. The guys have realized what a jewel she is and I can’t to read the rest of the series.
Slow to get into but once the main character meets the brothers, I couldn’t put down the book. Stayed up till 5am reading and I haven’t done that since high school years and I mean years ago.
Mind. Blown. Best reverse harem series I’ve ever read.

Oh my Gods! What a start to this series
This is the first in the Curse of the Gods series. I loved every second of this book.
Fantastic world building, strong main characters and secondary characters and our heroine is the most clumsy, accident prone, wilful and wonderful of them all. I just love her. She charges her way through life, despite being a down to earth ordinary person surrounded by powerful and ambitious beings.
The writing is funny and scenarios outlandish and it all works so well.
I have so many things I should be doing but instead I’m about to get book two because I can’t put this story down.
I am writing this review after yet another reread of the series. I remember on my first read through that I had some emotional issues with the boys, mainly thinking that they were cruel or completely thoughtless. On my second and third go rounds…. no… they are not. Well, they can still be thoughtless, but this is the world that they were raised in and the society to which they all owe allegiance.
Hysterically funny and well thought out, the first book introduces us to Willa Knight and her soon to be band of Sols (The ruling Class) who are actually far more than that. Yes, it gets complicated quickly, yet the plot is amazingly wrought and woven through with just enough humor to keep you laughing and enough heat to keep you burning.
Looking back from the vantage point of Book 5 – my recommendation? Read this book. Get lost in this series. It’s a slow-burn RH that hits all the right notes and melds into a melody that literally heals the worlds.
It’s not often that I come across a book that I literally can’t put down. The type that has you staying up all night reading because you have to know what happens. It is even rarer to find an entire series that sucks you in that much.
But Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington’s Curse of the Gods series is that kind of series.
There are six books in the series, and I ended up reading one book a day because I couldn’t stop reading (there was a lot of coffee needed).
Every book had great humor, a great plot, and was extremely well written.
The books in this series are my favorite reads this year. I heartily recommend checking this series out.
Plus, all of the books are on KU.
I didn’t think I’d get into the whole “reverse harem” thing, but this book and the rest of The Curse of the Gods series is fantastic. I’m reading it again for the 4th time since it came out.
This is the best book series ever. That’s all I have to say and that’s all that needs to be said. Just read it listen to it don’t question it just do it.
One of my favorite RH series, funny and original story, love this.

This is my first experience with reading a book authored by Jaymin Eve or Jane Washington. I didn’t really have any expectations going into this book, but I am impressed nonetheless. This is also my very first foray into the enigma that is the reverse harem genre. I was always leery of trying it because I didn’t know if it was really for me or not. I honestly thought that I wouldn’t care for it, but this book was delightful.
The writing itself was quite enjoyable. I really love discovering independent authors with impeccable writing skills. A lot of books that I read by indie authors have an amateur feel to them because of the writing, but this book did not fall into that category at all. While some indie authors writing is very stiff and bare-bones, this book was fluid and did not feel lacking in any way.
The world-building in this book is very good. There are world-specific terms for things like the passage of time and different beasts. There was a basic foundation for understanding the way that this world operates. I felt that it wasn’t all it could have been, but there was definitely enough to satisfy and not feel terribly lacking. I would have just preferred more details.
I feel like the plot will gain momentum as more books in the series come along. This plot wasn’t terrible flimsy, but it didn’t feel like it had a large scope. It didn’t feel too particularly involved. Entertaining, yes. The plot did feel like it was manufactured solely for the reverse harem aspect, but that fact didn’t really take away from my enjoyment of reading it.
I did like the characters. I really adored Willa’s character and I could relate to her in a lot of ways. The five Abcurse brothers were hard for me to differentiate for at least half of the book though. I felt that they could have used a bit more scrutiny in their character development in the beginning. Though, after I had them all down in my mind I enjoyed their characters as well. There was a very good chemistry going on between the six of them, though I would certainly hope so in a reverse harem.
The romance so far is a slow-burn thing. There were a few kisses, but they were more playful and teasing, not romantic. The romantic/sexual tension is definitely there between her and each of the Abcurse brothers though. I enjoyed reading their interactions and dialogues. I am not sure how I will feel later in the series when things get heavier with more than one brother, but so far I am liking things.
Overall, this was a delightful book that really dazzled me. If you are unsure about the reverse harem genre and are thinking of trying it then I would recommend this book because the romance is a slow-burn and you can really ease into things. I loved the premise of this story and I am eager to find out what happens next. If you like spunky, opinionated female protagonists then you’ll love this book. Willa’s character is a delight and I am very much enjoying her journey. Not to mention the five hot gods that she hangs with. Just saying. I would definitely give this one a try.
While this book was funny and mostly enjoyable, there was just a bad bit too much childish behavior and jokes.
What I enjoyed most was way the authors created a new and unique world and how they used that world to forward their plot line. I liked (most) of the characters and some if the humor. What finally got me (and reduced my star rating), was that the main female character is a klutz and this is over played. I got it I didn’t need to be reminded every three pages. I liked the best friend but couldn’t really connect with any of the boys/brother’s as they all felt like they had the same or similar personalities. I often got lost as to who was talking because they all ran together for me.
Also I guessed the boys “secret” way before then ending and with all the buildup of the story then ending fell flat to me. I don’t know that I will be continuing the series.
I want to make one note here: I listened to this on audible and didn’t read it. That may have had an impact on my enjoyment as I tend to concentrate, enjoy, follow and absorb more when I read (It was a gift so I didn’t get the format choice). Maybe if I actually read it I might enjoy it better.
3.75 stars.
