I hated to trick her…But I knew she would never go for the real me.She was beautiful, smart and funny—everything I could want. And I was… well. Me.Tattooed, foul mouthed, bad boy.I told one little white lie hoping to meet someone different. And I did.Danniella Abbot. She wasn’t who I was expecting, and I guess she could say the same, because Danni made it very clear she wasn’t interested in me … because Danni made it very clear she wasn’t interested in me or my reasons for lying.
The fact that she was my best friend’s little sister only complicated an already impossible situation.
I didn’t intend on tricking her. I just wanted her to give me a chance, to discover who I am underneath the ink.
She can fight me all she likes because we both know that I’m exactly her type. She just doesn’t know it yet.
What happens when you wake up married to the woman you tricked into a date?
You kiss the bride and prove her wrong.
Dear Readers,
Trick You is the second book in my angst-filled, emotional and steamy Rebel Ink series.

After reading Hate You (Rebel Ink #1), I was really looking forward to reading Titch (Carter) and Danni’s story.
Carter is the heart of this story-a big softie wrapped in tattoos. He and Danni have a great connection online, but she really fights it after they meet and he’s not as posh as his picture. Carter spends the majority of the story trying to prove to Danni that they are perfect for each other. He really puts in the work. I’m glad Danni finally turned it around, because I spent most of the story really wanting better from her. I understand her being upset for feeling tricked in the beginning, but a fancy suit and no tattoos does not a prince make. I felt her reaction was completely overboard at their first meeting. He shows up with casual clothes and tattoos and she completely loses it, then proceeds to insult him repeatedly. Girl had to earn her redemption.
Trick You is at turns sweet, moving, and very, very steamy. Tracy really knows how to write a story that draws you in and brings the heat. Looking forward to Rebel Ink #3!
Dani does not want to date a bad boy. When she meets carter he pretends he is a banker. What happens when she finds out the truth. Good read and romance.

Somethings are meant to be. And then there’s somethings that you have to take into your own hands.
Rebel Ink is totally sexy and fun. I’m looking forward to reading more.

I fell in love with Titch since I read Hate You and he only made me love him more after reading Trick You. This story is funny, swoon worthy and steamy AF! I couldn’t put it down. Titch and Danni meet by chance through a dating app, but while Danni thinks she’s meeting the straight laced banker Carter she meets the hot tattooed hottie Titch instead. This book was a barrel of laughs from the beginning and had me begging for more. Such a great fun read and I hope there’s more to come with this group.
Trick You by Tracy Lorraine is book Two in the Rebel Ink. This is the story of Carter ‘Trick’ and Danniella ‘Danni’. Trick and Danni ‘meet’ on a dating app. But Trick didn’t own up to somethings so when they go to meet Danni sees that he isn’t the plan everyday man then she is out. But for Trick he knows she is the one. Of courses that isn’t the end of them because Trick is friends with Danni’s brother Zack and Tabitha. So they meet again they even all end up in Vegas which leads to something that may not stay in Vegas. Loved this book, series and this author’s writing. I will be reading more from her in the future.
I liked this book. It was well written and the characters were well detailed throughout the book. The characters had great chemistry.

Dani is sure she wants a straight laced man after her disastrous dating past. She meets Trick online but his profile isn’t what it seems as he turns out to be her brother Zach’s best friend. Trick wanted to date a woman that would look past the tattoos and see the real person. He tries online dating and meets up with Dani, his best friend Zach’s sister. He didn’t like deceiving her but wanted a chance with her. Dani says No Way but the two will meet at a wedding and end up drunk, spending the night together and wake up married to each other. A hilarious banter ensues and the two end up with some sizzling chemistry. A perfect couple once Dani gets over her misconceptions about Trick.

Rating: 4.5 Stars
The author has written a note that’s a reminder of the note from book one. If you read Hate You you can read it again as it can serve as a reminder. it’s a good reminder that the characters speak with an accent.
Danni wants more than she currently has. She has a great friend who just so happens to know her brother. Her brother happens to know her current pain in the neck – and maybe elsewhere. She has an attitude but then there are times when she seems to turn a little on the shy side.
Carter is a man who gave us a few chuckles in book one of the series. He’s just one of the reasons to read this series in order. Another reason is because this book intertwines with Hate You. I fell in love with him when he had his first interactions with Tabitha. He loves to poke the beast. But he may just have met his match and it was interesting to watch how that worked out for him.
The laughs didn’t stop when the first book ended. Our author has done a great job at continuing it here. You just want to sit there and see what she’s going to come up with next. For now I just have to be patient until the Fall gets here.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
This story of Danni and Titch Carter is so hot and sweet. I truly enjoyed reading the story of two hearts that connect.

*spoiler* I absolutely loved the tenacity of Titch!! When he wants something, he sure goes for it! My heart melted when Danni finally let him in!!

Raw and real, fun and sexy, Carter and Danni strike sparks off each other from the first. Carter is more than the tattooed bad boy he appears, with hidden depths and secrets. Danni is more uptight and driven than she appears at first glance, focused in both her personal and business life. First meetings can definitely go wrong, but a connection thru friends keeps these two in each other’s lives. Carter isn’t willing to let Dani throw away what could be the best thing to ever happen to them, and his persistence pays off. Family drama, loyal friends, coming of age, and hearts finding love, safety, and strength. Great story!

Danni and Carter meet on a dating website. They immediately click and make plans to meet up, but she soon finds out that she has been tricked. Instead of him being a posh banker, he’s actually a tattooed bad boy. She does not take kindly to being lied to and wants nothing more to do with him. But fate has other plans, and their paths soon cross again. Danni’s brother Zack is getting married in Vegas, and as it turns out, Zack is best friends with Carter. What follows is a whirlwind romance full of undeniable chemistry and fiery hot banter.
I absolutely loved Carter. He was sexy, funny, kind and charming. But Danni… She was stubborn, judgmental and very frustrating at times. I had trouble connecting with her early on. That’s one reason why it took me so long to get through this book. That, and in my opinion, there was a bit much sex. Every time I turned around these two were going at it. I prefer more story to the amount of sexy times there were. But hey, that’s just my opinion. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
I can not tell you how much I love and I do mean LOVE Carter James! He knows what he wants and he plans on getting her. He has a tough past with his family and they have done a number on him. He had to fight his way to where he is now but can he learn to trust Danni and tell him all of his secrets.
Dani can not believe that she got married to a man she doesn’t even know. She always had her life planned out and Carter did not fit into her plans. She needs to figure out if she can forget about how she imagined her life would turn out and learn to love the man in front of her. The more she learns about him the more she realizes she likes Carter.
“What you see is what you get.” He holds his arms out from his body to allow me to take my fill. “I’m not a banker, I’m an artist. And this,” he says, pointing at himself, my eyes powerless to resist, “is my face. Messy hair, scruffy jaw and all.” “But everything else?” I ask hesitantly, thinking of all the things we talked about. Our hopes and dreams for the future. Where we want to be in ten years’ time. What we want from life. “All me, doll.”
I can not say enough amazing things about this book or Tracy Lorraine! She is an amazing author.
I have received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
The Rebel Ink Series is definitely one of my faves. I adored Danni and Titch in Hate You and was looking forward to their story when I first read about them. Tracy Lorraine did not disappoint. The pair have amazing chemistry and I flove their characters so much. Opposites attract in this fun, unputdownable book! Now, I NEED the audiobook!
This is my first book by Tracey Lorraine and it can definitely be read as a stand alone.
Danni and Carter ‘meet’ on a dating app and after hitting it off they agree to meet. Things start off badly when Carter has the bright idea of coming clean to Danni and Danni makes it clear she’s not interested. So how come she wakes up married to him after a drunken night out? And more importantly what’s she going to do now?
I’m a sucker for a surprise/drunken marriage so I was thrilled with the turn of events. Danni and Carter are both easy to like and the banter between them is great. Carter knows what he wants and I love a man whose not afraid to go after it even if the odds are stacked against him.
This is my first book by Ms Lorraine but it definitely won’t be my last. If you like your book men hot, tattooed and determined, Trick You could be the book for you!
Tracy Lorraine is back with the second installment of her Rebel Ink series, this time with a brother’s best friend, catfishing, accidental vegas wedding story heavy on the tense push-pull and loaded with steam.
When we first meet Danni, she’s excitedly going to meet Carter- the straight laced guy she’s been talking to from an online dating site. She’s cautiously optimistic after a slew of failed attempts with others- they seem to have a real connection, but alas, it is too good to be true She’s been catfished – Carter is no straight laced banker- he’s a tatted bad boy- and she has zero interest in hearing his explanation and has no time for bad boys. Unfortunately for her, Carter (nicknamed Trick) is already part of her life- he just so happens to work with her friend and is close friends with her brother. Trick isn’t going to turn that gift from fate down- he knows he has something with Danni if she could just see past his exterior, if he could just prove only his picture was fake, and he’s unwilling to give up, especially after she gives into some bedroom time in a moment of anger. Shenanigans ensue, accidentally Vegas wedding complicates things, and the push-pull is intense. Danni denies and rebukes, Trick keeps trying.
Unfortunately, I really struggled to like Danni for about 70% of the book- perhaps soured by our first meeting where she’s so abrupt, immature, and closed minded. No one wants to be catfished, but it was clear from the first “meet cute” that Trick wasn’t doing it with bad intentions, and even when their paths cross and she gets to know him better, she’s still judgmental and assumptive about him. She won’t give him the time of day to explain himself or to get to know him- but she has no issues having tons of love-hate sex with him. She just didn’t click for me- I felt she was unnecessarily obstinate, and the large chip on her shoulder and her abruptness with others around her just prevented me from being able to connect with her….and it also prevented me from believing these two actually had any connection other than physical- and there is a lot of physical- mostly “I dont like you” sex. Carter was definitely endearing- he has a lot of heart, and his intentions are good- he wants to be accepted and seen for who he is- not his tats. He’s so authentic, protective, and charming- and he’s also sexy in the bedroom. At times I wondered why he was so persistent with Danni- he’s got so much to offer. When Danni has her turning point with Trick, I saw new side of her- an open, softer, caring and more likable side- the last 20% of the book has a version of the couple I’d love to spent more time with.
I loved the message and themes here- around not judging a book by its cover, how you find love in the places you least expect, and how you are usually your biggest barrier when it comes to finding true love- sometimes you just got to get out of your own way and open your heart and mind. I’m glad Danni did that, eventually- but she just wasn’t my favorite character to spend time with, even though I loved Carter/Titch/Trick.
Trick You is book two of the Rebel Ink series and is a great follow up to book one, Hate You. Danni and Carter (Titch) are total opposites but they are perfect for each other. I loved the way the author brought them together and Danni’s reaction to being tricked. The storyline is great and is packed with drama, angst, unexpected twists, steam, humor and a perfect ending. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
Well, Carter ‘Titch’ has knocked Joe off my top spot of Tracy Lorraine’s men! He is just so nice and swoonsome! I know he is meant to be a bad boy, but he was just too caring and vulnerable to be that in my mind. I just wanted to jump into the book and give him a big hug and make him feel wanted!
I loved this story, and I really enjoyed how it was played out. It is overlapping the end of the first book in the series. I was reading it thinking I’ve been in this scenario before and realised Tracy was being very clever and had skipped back in time. We are now getting to see everything that had been happening behind the scenes with Carter and Danni. It really was fluid and very cleverly executed.
The book flies by, and you really feel invested in this couple. Danni is a bit of a ball-buster, and it did take me longer to warm to her than it usually does for the female protagonist. However, she’d won me over by the end and is a worthy partner for the utterly delicious Carter.
I’m in a bit of a quandary in terms of what star rating to give this book. Up until the epilogue, it was a five star guaranteed. However, I have a (self-imposed) rule that if a book ends with one particular element, I deduct a star. This book ends with that unfortunate component, but I don’t want to deduct the star. I’ve argued with myself that Tracy hasn’t finished a book this way in a while so I will let her off and award it the very deserving five stars and ignore my rules this time! I couldn’t fall in love with Carter and not give him five stars!
So, overall one of the best books I’ve read by Tracy Lorraine and I hope we get to see snippets of Carter in Spike’s book that is coming later in the year! (Is anyone else envisaging Spike from ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ for this Spike?)

Dani goes to the bar to meet up with Carter the straight laced banker that she met on a dating app. When she walks into the restaurant they agreed to meet at she sees Carter but he isn’t what he claimed to be on the app. He isn’t the straight laced banker. He is covered in tattoos and piercings. She freaks out and tells him to never contact her again. Turns out she can’t escape from him that easily. Carter aka Titch aka Trick is best friends and co-workers with her brother Zach who is dating Dani’s best friend Biff. You may have met them both if you read Hate You. When Biff and Zach ask Dani and Carter to fly out to Vegas for their wedding they get a little drunk and wake up married the next morning. Hilarity ensues.
I am not going to lie I wanted to throat punch Dani because she was being so closed minded and wouldn’t open her eyes to how amazing and perfect Carter was for her. But then when she pulled her head out of her butt and realized what she had right in front of her and all that Carter would do for her she turned out to be quite amazing herself. I loved how she accepted Carter flaws and all and loved him even more for it. Dani and Carter’s back and forth while he was trying to convince her that they belonged together was hilarious and their chemistry was off the charts. I loved these two so dang much. It was also fun to see more into Biff and Zach’s life- I really enjoyed that. Then watching Zach try and cope with his best friend and sister together was also freaking hilarious. Loved this book so much. Can’t wait for more in the Rebel Ink world.
Once again, Tracy created an extremely interesting and emotional story. Carter stole my heart right from the start. I love the way day after day he proved to Danni that they fit together. That what happened in Vegas was not a mistake.
Their relationship was hot and super romantic. They were perfect for each other and I’m glad Carter knew that from the start and didn’t give up. He just got on the list of my favorite heroes.
5 sexy stars for this one!
I couldn’t put down this best friend’s little sister story. And I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. These Boys already had my heart and I need them in my life.
