I hated to trick her…But I knew she would never go for the real me.She was beautiful, smart and funny—everything I could want. And I was… well. Me.Tattooed, foul mouthed, bad boy.I told one little white lie hoping to meet someone different. And I did.Danniella Abbot. She wasn’t who I was expecting, and I guess she could say the same, because Danni made it very clear she wasn’t interested in me … because Danni made it very clear she wasn’t interested in me or my reasons for lying.
The fact that she was my best friend’s little sister only complicated an already impossible situation.
I didn’t intend on tricking her. I just wanted her to give me a chance, to discover who I am underneath the ink.
She can fight me all she likes because we both know that I’m exactly her type. She just doesn’t know it yet.
What happens when you wake up married to the woman you tricked into a date?
You kiss the bride and prove her wrong.
Dear Readers,
Trick You is the second book in my angst-filled, emotional and steamy Rebel Ink series.

This is my favorite series by Tracy Lorraine. No lies.
Let me just start by saying i love Carter soooo muchhh. I swear he is the perfect man.
Carter is a sweet soul who struggles with his demons, he has always been told that he is not good enough and that he is worthless. So eventually he believed it. When he saw the profile of this beautiful girl on the dating site, he was instantly attracted to her. But knowing he will get rejected he lied about his career but that blew up in his face.
Lucky for him the mysterious girl AKA Dani was not only Biff’s best friend, she was Zack’s little sister. Talk about luck.
Carter was perfect, literally perfect. He knew what he wanted and he was adamant to get the girl.
I wanted to bitch slap Dani at the begging cause she was a bitch to Carter, but i understood her reasons. Carter screamed bad boy and she just didn’t want to get hurt.
” ’ .”
These two were so cute together. When Dani finally decided to give each other a chance she found out that Carter is exactly the man she always wanted. Their story was funny and full of fire, but it was also emotional.
” , ’ , ’ .”
Can not wait to read the next book in this series.
If you read the first book in this series, you knew this story was coming but let me say, this is phenomenal! LOL! If you haven’t read the first book, stop reading this review and do that first. There’s overlap between the two stories. A LOT of overlap.
Onto other things. I kinda feel for Harrison, Zach, and Danni’s parents as all three of their kids eloped five thousand miles from home in Vegas – only one with an semblance of forethought. What that leads to for Danni and Carter is an explosive love story that is a MUST READ!
In addition to their story, I really like how this brings characters from other series into the mix for cameos. Be it Ben & Lauren and Joe or the super easy tie-in of Harrison & Summer, it is fun to see little glimpses of these other great characters and show how it’s a smaller world than we sometimes realize. Even if it is somewhat fictional. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Titch and Danni meet via an online dating app. Problem is that Titch might not have used his picture. Danni immediately is done and walks away. With no way to contact her what a surprise when he finds her sitting in Biff’s living room.
I loved Titch when I met him in Hate You and was excited to learn his story. Well to say I fell for him even more in Trick You. To say that there were a few times I wasn’t a fan of Danni’s though would be an understatement. But she stepped up when it really mattered. Glad we got to spend so much time with Zach and Biff too. Loving this crazy group of guys that have made their own family. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
While I loved this story, I have to admit that I was still on such a high from reading book 1, that I had a hard time connecting with both Titch and Danni, more so with her than him. I felt like she came across as a little judgmental toward Titch, which was really making me sad. He seemed to be so into her, tried so hard to convince her that there was more to him than the ripped jeans and body full of tattoos, that he didn’t need to have a higher education and fancy job to make her happy. And it took her a long time to come to the same conclusion. However, in the end, the story overall was really good, and I was happy they got their happy ending.
Stella Hunter and Shane East come together to tell Titch and Dani’s story in duet fashion.
A cross between enemies to lovers and best friend’s sibling, Tracy Lorraine takes us back into the world of Rebel Ink. Titch (Carter) might have used a little trickery to get Dani to chat with him on a dating app. Everything he says to her is real, but he might have fudged a little on some of the finer details of his profile.
Dani is incensed when she finds out she had been tricked. Try as she might to stay away, they keep ending up in the same places. And then their best friends run off to Vegas to get married, Titch and Dani find themselves on their own adventure.
Now if he can just convince her to give them a chance to see how well they work together.
Stella and Shane do a magnificent job bringing all the tension, lust, laughs and love to life with their narration.
Loved this listen! I listened to the audiobook of Trick You, narrated by Shane East and Stella Hunter, and I absolutely fell in love with Carter and Danni.
Carter was so eager, honest and totally devoted to Danni right from the start, but Danni had preconceptions that she needed to put aside before she could open herself up and accept Carter’s love. She’s career and perception driven, but not in a bad or judgmental way. She just has a hard time reconciling Carter’s interiors and exteriors.
Carter doesn’t give up. He KNOWS in his gut and his heart that they are meant to be. And he does all that he can to show Danni that not only his love real, but she deserves an all-encompassing love that will help lift her up, and that’s what he is offering her.
The narration by Stella Hunter and Shane East was really fantastic. Shane delivers a different British accent that many of his narrations, and he really captures Carter’s personality, earnestness and determination. Stella gives us a great portrayal of Danni, and bring a lot of vulnerability into the character.
All in all, a great listen.
I received an ALC of the audiobook for Trick You and let me just say…. I FLOVED this book! Let’s be honest, I would listen to Shane East read the phone book, but his performance was absolutely on point as always with Trick You. Carter (Titch) is everything Danni never thought she wanted, and it takes a while for her to get past her initial judgements to see him for the wonderful, sweet, determined man behind the tattoos. While their chemistry between the sheets is nothing short of explosive, they both must work through their hang ups and let go of the visions they might have had of the “perfect person” to see that perfectly imperfect is exactly what they needed all along.
This is the second book in the Rebel Ink Series. I love this Series! Danniella and Carter’s story is fun, sexy, and romantic. Danniella (Dani) is independent and beautiful. Carter, Dani’s brother’s best friend, is handsome, and determined. I loved their slow burn romance, and their banter! They share a sizzling chemistry. The story is fun, steamy, and heartwarming. Shane East and Stella Hunter did an amazing job with the narration. I love their voices together. I enjoyed it! #AudiblyAddictedProduction #ALC
What better way to get a wife then to trick her! What a fun book to listen to. I really enjoyed the way these two met, they way they would fight(and high always led to more) and the way they finally accept each other and fall in love. This book is great and definitely worth the listen!
Trick You
Rebel Ink #2
By Tracy Lorraine
Narrated by Shane East & Stella Hunter
An Audibly Addicted Production
Fun, witty and steamy, Tracy Lorraine delivers it all in this second book of the Rebel Ink series. We meet Carter and Dani who meet online. Thinking she has met her perfect match, Dani is shocked to see Carter. Carter is her brother’s best friend! Now we get to see just how mismatched they are! I love this story for a couple of reasons. I love the best friend’s brother trope. There is something about falling for the one you know you shouldn’t and Carter is exactly that person. Not only because of relationship with her brother, but he just does not check all the boxes for her. Which brings me to the other reason I love this story. You just never know who is your match. Lorraine brings this all together with a romantic feel, witty banter and steam level that is palpable. These are the kind of characters you can’t help but love and enjoy. It’s the perfect story for this series.
You can’t even imagine how much fun Shane East and Stella Hunter. These two are perfectly cast and bring out all the nuances to their characters’ personalities. Their voices compliment each other and the duet style narration is spot on! I loved them together!
They are everything that each other never knew they actually needed
Trick You is the second book in the Rebel Ink series and it is a bad boy at his ultimate dirty sexiness. Carter is hot, tattooed, built, sexy and has not only an attitude but also is charming and funny. Danni is looking for her “Mr. Right” (we can only dream there is one out there). But when they “meet” on an online dating site and then take things off-line is when it really heats up. Even though they are having fun and Carter is hooked Danni is not all in. So the bad boy is going to have to do some chasing to get his lady.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Trick You by Tracy Lorraine is book 2 in the series Rebel Ink. She sure knows how to write a hot dirty talking bad boy with issues.
I loved Carter (Titch). He is a hot sexy tattooed and all around funny guy, but with secrets that are best kept. Danni is looking for Mr. “Right”. She wants a successful man not a funny tattoo artist like Carter. Carter was hooked the moment he met Danni on a online dating site. Even though she finds their sexual encounters very fulfilling she can’t let go of her ideas of the perfect man. The chase is on! The book did not disappoint and I can hardly wait for book 3. Kudos!

Where do I start… hold on let me find my notes because I knew this one would be a doozy. If you read my review for book 1 of this series I described these 2 as a bull in a China Shop. Scratch that it was bulls running down the aisles in those open markets and everything is flying every direction.
I will admit Titch and Danni start off a little rough. She comes off rather pretentious, well just plan ole pretentious. No brownie points there from me but I kept reading because Titch stole my heart in book 1. So as I was reading this book and I knew this will be a HEA but then I started questioning it. Is it a HEA because they are not together in the end? This one is not like Zach and Biff obstinance this is actually cut and dry you know this is not going to work. Even though I know it will. If this helps one of my highlighted lines was “But my head?” and I wrote: I know, your head is killing me too.
About ⅔’s of the way Danni finally shines through and you get to see her. You start to understand her. There is a structure to life, a schedule, and Titch (Carter) completely pulled the rug out from underneath her. I would not say they are “opposite” of each other but more like soulmates. Your mind can say so many things but your soul knows. It is the connection. It is your soul needing that one even though that person is walking in the opposite direction.
Yes, this is a HEA. This is one that I was on the fence about but it also reminded me of my sister and how “on schedule” she is about everything and my heart opened up to Danni and Carter.
I am not sure what team I am on yet but I do know I now need some Spike and Kas.
I received this book as an advanced copy & am choosing to review it voluntarily.
This book was gripping, well written & the chemistry between the characters sizzled throughout this wonderfully hot read!
Well done Tracy. I look forward to more!
This is a great al-ha story. This storyline is about Danni and Carter meet through a dating app everything is perfect on paper until they meet in person – nothing is what it seems. Dani expected Carter to be the perfect business suited, banker not the tattooed bad boy but now that she’s met him she can’t make herself forget Carter. They have sizzling chemistry and Carter has a heart. An unexpected, fantastic story.

I’m 100% in love with Carter/Titch. He was so funny and so swoon worthy it was ridiculous. Unfortunately, Dani was a total b*tch for most of this book. I didn’t understand his interest in her for a good long while. Thankfully the ending was fantastic. Looking forward to the next one!!

Wow! What an incredible story! After reading this book about Carter and Danni, I wanted more! These two meet in a bit of an unconventional way, and it wasn’t a perfect meet, but sometimes things have a way of changing. The interactions between them will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you believe in love. There is so much more to Carter that he isn’t just a tattoo artist, he is kind, serious and has hangups like the rest of us. But when it comes to Danni, he will do anything for her. He just needs to get her to change her mind about him. Danni is a beautiful young woman who needs to come to terms with her feelings for Carter. As these two embark on their unusual relationship, you will feel the same way I did. They belong together, pure and simple. I highly recommend this book! You will love it as much as I did!
An absolutely fantastic book two in the Rebel Ink series! It is well written and engaging with drama, humour, ups and downs, twists, steam, witty banter, and intrigue. This book will take you on a wild ride and keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what is to come next. The characters are amazing; the chemistry between them is scorching hot! Definitely recommended.

Oooooh Danni and Carter (Trick) are just a match made in heaven even if one doesn’t want to quite accept that straight away having made the ‘perfect’ partner built in their brain. But with that being said it was a delight to read them both grow and discover themselves and each other in nothing less than a storm of emotions which was tantalizing as a reader.
The banter between both Carter and Danni was hilarious and at times incredibly infuriating (not in a bad way though) but that was more because I could totally relate to some of Danni’s reactions to Carter’s button pushing… Cheeky hot man! With all his tattoos and sexiness!
I devoured this book within one sitting and feel no guilt… I mean maybe a wee bit because my poor dog was trying to get my attention but when you’ve been sucked in, there is no coming out until the last word has been read! Simple!
I have had the absolute pleasure in reading a few other books by Tracy Lorraine which I have adored, this story of Danni and Carter is now added to that list. I love reading about strong, feisty heroines matched with hot badass men, where they both make each other shine and bring out sides of each other they didn’t even know existed but was hidden, protectively within themselves. A definite must read in my opinion.
