Captain Jay Roberts knows his mission to infiltrate the isolated province of Neveks is dangerous, but the future of Planet Pavlovan depends on his success. As a telepathic super-soldier, he doesn’t expect the banished Neveks female, Rain Datta—his passport into Neveks—to cause him too much trouble. But Rain’s not playing by his rules, and Jay is in for one hell of a life-changing ride.
This book was full of so many unexpected things. There seemed to be something exciting and surprising at ever turn. If sex, sexy, and erotic scenes bother you, then this is not your book.
Triad is full of action and suspense. The characters are well written. The chemistry between Jay, Rain, and Asar is intense. There is also an underlying mystery that resonates throughout the book.
I spent a lot of time using those five “W” terms they teach in elementary school, (who, what, when, where, why). I added how, but prefaced each term with a wait. “Wait,…what?”; “Wait,…… how?”, etc.
Triad seems to cover a number of genres. Romance, suspense, mystery, sci-fi, and erotica. This will keep you fully engaged.

I adore Kate’s triad series…it’s full of hot space aliens and my favorite fantasy~menage.
This one wraps up a mysterious story thread about who’s stirring up the political pot and potential civil war. Captain Jay Roberts, enhanced human “super soldier” is working for the Pavlovan government since he left Earth being feared there because of his enhancements. His orders are to infiltrate the Nevek region that has VERY closed borders. He goes undercover and “rescues” Rain Datta when she’s “stranded” with no transportation to get back home to Nevek to see her dying mother. Rain was cast out of Neveks at 18 with nothing, and told she was “impure” and therefore could no longer live within the region’s borders. She became a soldier herself in order to survive and a strong woman on her own.
I really liked Rain as well as Jay. They both had to figure out how to survive when rejected by their people. Little did either one of them realize they were fated to become part of a triad that would change their worlds as they knew them. Kate weaves their story through trials and temptations that help them grow to see they could be more together rather than just rely on themselves. And poor crown prince Asar realize how much he was going to have to question and dig into his Mother’s ruling decisions as he’s holding down the “fort” while the all powerful Queen, his mother, is away. Poor Asar has to make life altering decisions about his mother, her actions and aspirations and where his loyalty lies, with her or his people and those he’s come to love. Kate has the ability to pack the short story words with a complete story that leaves you satisfied that you haven’t missed anything.
Thank you Kate for granting me this ARC free for an honest review. Loved it! I hope you get back to more of these types of stories.
Triad is an amazing book. It was a well written, compelling story that grabs the readers attention right from the start. It had so much heat it made me sweat. There was plenty of steam as well. There was love and angst as well. I love the writings of this author and read everything of hers that I can get my hands on. I gave this book five stars and would recommend it to anyone. LOVE MUST READ !! When the writer knows what they are talking about, an honest review is simple. The writing pulls at your heart…makes you want to fight for love, and will make you not want to put the book down!!! I cant get enough of the characters. The emotion that you can feel through each page. Love that makes your heart want to…re-read…over & over. This is an vastly enjoyable read !
