A kaleidoscope is a cylinder full of broken pieces, yet everyone still stares at it in awe. Who’s to say the same can’t be said for women? Before being thrust in the violent and terrifying sex-trafficking industry, Kristina Svoboda lived in a tiny hamlet in her home country of Czechia. She had an unfulfilling yet peaceful life before she drew the eye of a royal-blooded aristocrat who took what he … aristocrat who took what he wanted and lived his life without consequences.
For six years, she’s been beaten, tortured, and exploited, yet her shoulders don’t carry the weight of her abuse. Her heart does, which is exactly what Trey Corbyn plays on when he spots her from afar seconds after she’s released from captivity. He sees past the frail skin, hollow eyes, and waif-thin exterior.
He sees a survivor.
A woman.
Someone just as broken as him.
With his instincts no longer in existence and his possessiveness dangerous, can a broken man fix a fragilely timid woman? Or will his insecurities worsen her cracks until they reach a point they’ll be unfixable?
Trey: European Redemption is a gritty story about finding love in the darkest of places. It’s raw, intimidating, and shows even when you’ve been beaten to believe otherwise, sometimes dreams do come true. This book has violent scenes that may be distressing to some readers. Caution is advised. It is book seven in the Russian Mob Chronicles, however, it can be read as a standalone.

Trey: European Redemption by Shandi Boyes is the seventh book in the Russian Mob Chronicles. This book is a dark and twisted story but one that fully pulls you in. For me what made this book so good is the fact that the characters are so dark and flawed. Their world isn’t all light and roses and happily ever afters but that is exactly why their love story is so brilliant.
The author caught my attention straight away and I knew I had to see what journey these two were about to go on. I loved every second of it and found the book to be very exciting to read.
Shandi Boyes has become one of those authors that I know to expect a good story out of. Her writing style is so gripping I always enjoy what she produces. This book is fantastic and I can not recommend it highly enough.
This was a gripping story to read. It deals with human sex trafficking which can be a very sensitive subject and while some People may not like how graphic the book was i think it was needed to actually get across the pain, humiliation and despair that people go through. I really enjoyed this book and the characters are so well written you find yourself wanting the best for them and rooting for them to succeed.
Trey himself has his own demons to fight from his past which keeps him cold, distanct and a trained killer. As Nikolai’s second in command he is very protective of those he cares about and will stop at nothing to protect them.
When he first meets K she is a victim rescued from a house where they were used as sex slaves. Something inside her eyes speaks to Trey and he realises she is has broken as he is.
Can they mend each other or are their demons too big to overcome?
Wow.
Shandi has never let us down and she has smashed it once again.
This is the story on Trey and K!
It is gritty, powerful, dark but you just want to keep following the couples story.
You will get sucked in right from the beginning. I felt every scene and emotion!
I cant wait to see what is next!! 5**
This book is one of the grittiest I’ve read in awhile. I didn’t enjoy how graphic Kristina’s life was prior to meeting Trey but at least she kept a decent head on her shoulders to move away from all of the pain she endured. I love the way they not only loved one another but sought out to heal one another’s wounds after a worse past that could’ve taken the both of them down but in different ways. This is a sweet book about resilience, determination and the sweetest love that one can experience. We have to remember the characters are also human but as we all are, they are also flawed but in the best ways possible.
Trey: European Redemption (Russian Mob Chronicles Book 7) by Shandi Boyes was a great 5 star read. I love a good read and this story pulled me right in, the author pushes the boundaries on the topic and grittiness.
This is Trey and Kristina’s (Duchess) story. Trey works for Nikolai who we met in a previous book. Trey is very protective and when he meets Kristina he’s pulled right in by her. There was something about her eyes, something familiar. Kristina was forced into sex-trafficking the last six years and I would consider her a survivor. Trey also has some things from his past that have made him the man he is today.
Can these two put each other back together again?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. My emotions were all over the place, we get so much in one book. I really liked these two characters and the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I will warn that some things in this book may cause triggers for some. I look forward to reading more from this series and author. I love an author who isn’t afraid to give you dark, gritty and so much more. If you like a good series with no holds bar than 1-click and get started today.
I loved this steamy dark romance story. This author has continued to impress me with her attention to details and her writing skills. This is not my first book by this author but it ranks up there as one of my favorites. This is a well developed story that has characters that made the story pop off the pages. I found it to be engaging and fast paced. I read this story in one sitting as it is that awesome. I had no problem connecting with the characters as they brought the story to life for me. This is a story about Kristina and Trey. She has had a lot of trauma in her life and has been left scarred in many ways. Trey sees her as so much more than her past but has his own insecurities. What will fate have in store for these two? Will they find each other or will their insecurities be unfixable? This is a dark story that could cause some triggers but if you can get past that you will find a story you will love as much as I did. I highly recommend this book and this author.
There are some possible triggers in this book for some readers due to the content of abuse and human trafficking. For those who can read this book you are in for an amazing ride. Both characters may be broken in certain ways, but they are not down and out, they both have a lot of fight left in them and they are perfect together. It’s dark at times but this is a book about survival and what it takes to do so.

She is a survivor and becomes his Queen
Trey: European Redemption is the seventh book in the Russian Mob Chronicles series and is the story of Trey and Kristina “K”. This book is not for the faint of heart so be warned. It is dark, hard, twisted, emotionally gut wrenching, does have triggers and a whole lot more. But is is also a love story that is epic in the connection K and Trey have together and everything they go through.
I am not going to lie and say I loved this book. Yep there were some parts of it that I did love and other parts I despised. It was a hard book to get through and for me I ended up having to skim some of it as it was a bit too much. But if you can get into the book and stay with it the end is worth it.
Also, as Trey is part of Nikolai’s Mafia family and if you have not already it would most likely be helpful to read the previous books in this series to put context to the world that Trey and K live in.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Raw, gritty, dark and heartbreaking. Human trafficking is always an emotional and brutal. This is an emotional read with all the trauma and abuse K experiences as a sex slave for so many years but the fact that she comes out a survivor and stronger on the other side gives one hope. Trey changed after meeting K and his change of heart to destroy the men responsible for hurting or selling woman made him one of my favorite characters. If you are not a sensitive reader, I recommend the book as well as the freebies / extension books available at the end of the book.

And this is why Shandi Boyes is one of my favourite author’s! You are never disappointed and as great as the ending is you always want more, amazing read, amazing characters, amazing storyline and absolutely loved the interaction with Nikolai’s story! Just perfect

Trey is complex and this is a brutal story. I can’t say too much as it will give it away but be warned, it’s not easy. Trey falling for Kristina gives him some humanity but there are some dark moments here.
This is the story of Trey a broken man with a dark past and K a broken woman who has been used and abused. They say revenge is best served cold and this is a story of revenge. Excellent characters in this dark story of sex traffiking and the men who are responsible. Drug use, sex all play a part in this tale. Didn’t much like the character of Trey at the beginning but as soon as he saw K his character became a little more sympathetic a great combination. Love this series and I hope there is more to come.

This is my first book by Shandi Boyes and ill be back for more. this is book 7 in a series but can be read standalone. this book is Trey and K’s story. Trey is Nikolas right hand man, his past shaped him into the man he is broken and possesive and when he meets K after rescuing her during a raid he sees himself in her broken ways. K has lived through hell for years abused and used by men for there pleasure and now she has a chance at freedom but can she handle what comes with it and what comes with being with Trey. this book dives deep into a seedy underworld with traffiking, drugs, action, lust, desires and possessive natures.

This story starts off with emotion and heartbreak. What K lives through and survived is a testament to her strength. Trey is a stone cold mafia killer. Alpha, possessive and will bring destruction to protect what’s his. This is not an easy read. It has violence, abuse, human trafficking drugs yet the two main characters connect and fall in love.

Human Trafficking Is a Hard Topic …. crude language can’t make up for emotion
This is a hard one to review. I realize when human trafficking is involved the read can be raw and gritty…. and this one certainly is all that. For me it was too raw and too gritty. It seemed like every other word was the F bomb or wh0re or some other sleazy word. I like to read the plot line and that kind of ‘stuff’ turns me off in a book because it takes away from the storyline. A storyline on this sensitive subject is raw enough, we don’t need every other word being expletive NOT deleted.
OBSERVATIONS:
… The emotion in this story could have been very good had it been the emphasis. Unfortunately it is camouflaged with unnecessary sleaze. Human trafficking provides more than enough rawness, it does’t need extra help.
… I felt badly for K and for Trey. They both draw you into the horrors of a world few people see. The perversion is sickening, the depravity of that world is intense, raw and smutty.
… For me, this book is too graphic, too detailed, too unrealistic. Don’t get me wrong, I know this subject matter never is pretty, nor can it be skimmed over. I just felt it could have been a better read with more ‘feeling’ of the characters emotions rather than trying to use constant, degrading words to show the emotion. The cursing is just language that we ‘hear’, it doesn’t provoke emotions like ‘seeing’ or ‘feeling’ an experience. Those words, when used over and over, and over, tend to be cheap and disgusting rather than seeing and feeling what is happening.
… I wanted to know WHY Nikolai did buy ‘K’. He claimed he wasn’t into purchasing his ‘wh0res’…. so what was the real reason he bought her for more than a million dollars? Was it because he knew she was the ONE for Trey …. past, present and future? It’s not made clear why he bought her since it went against his practices. I got the impression he didn’t know until much later that K was the one he bought.
… I almost stopped reading by the first couple chapters since constant barrage of crude language was a complete turnoff. I didn’t for two reasons. I promised to read the entire book to review it and I hoped it would change as I got into the book.
… I gave two and a half stars because for me, in this book, the author wasted her writing talent by trying to substitute crude language for emotion and writing skill.
Shandi definitely wrote another 5 star with Trey and K’s story. It is heartbreaking and not pretty at times.
Trey is second in command to Nikolai and has had a tragic past. His story really surprised me.
K has had a hard life ever since her parents died in a tragic car accident. The son of the family her family works for forces her to be a sex slave.
When Trey sees K, he doesn’t see the dirt or grime, he sees a survivor. He is instantly attracted to her. Even with her not being able to communicate since she only speaks Czech, they connect on a deeper level.
This is definitely a must read, and the bonus material makes it even better.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book via Booksprout. This story was, quite possibly, one of the darkest—if not THE darkest–stories I have ever read and at the same time, I couldn’t stop reading it. I think that this may have been my first Shandi Boyes book. She wrote sentences in this story, that I swear, will stay with me for a long time to come. I may never forget them. In such a dark story, there are points of unique wisdom, things I would have never thought of or considered. This is the story of Trey and K. Trey is the righthand man to Russian mobster Nicolai and K is a sex slave that he has close ties to in his past and new ties to in his present. The things that each of them had been through to get to the point of being functional in this story were tragic, and scary. However, the people they became for each other were utterly beautiful—even with a language barrier. I’m definitely looking forward to their sequel.
So amazing! Such drama, and emotion pulled while reading. I cried as much for Trey as I did when I first read Nikolai’s books. I had always questioned how he became a part of Nikolai’s crew and that question along with many more were answered. I am so excited to read the next books produced from Shandi’s brilliant mind!
Hell..is what K lives in until rescued during a raid to save Nikolai’s Ahren….Trey sees himself in her. Broken beyond repair. Is she actually that broken or can these two fragile people actually put the pieces of themselves back together.
A beautiful heart wrenching mafia story of death, slavery, punishment but also strength.
Must read..
have been in book heaven reading Trey, like all Shandi Boyes books she doesn’t hold back. Trey will have you wincing, gasping as well as having hot and cold sweats, it’s a no holds barred situation and Trey will deal with his past, present, and future, or at least die trying. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
