He’s tormented by guilt and memories, but cannot forget… Evan Michael Sedgewyck, ninth Earl of Coventry, is doomed to walk the earth as a dragon-shifter, but it’s his actions that have caused his own personal hell. Beastly half aside, he’s been a widower for seven years, and the moment he decides to attend a ball and perhaps enter the Marriage Mart again, he stumbles into a woman he once … once thought dead—his wife. Yet the anger he carries doesn’t diminish.
She’s searching for answers, but doesn’t remember…
Miss Damaris Sheffield—Victoria—is looking forward to her next paid position as a governess, but when a handsome stranger pulls her aside at a masquerade, calls her by another woman’s name and kisses her soundly, she begins to wonder. After rebuffing him and denying his claims, she discovers she truly is the earl’s wife, has a young son, and has been essentially missing for years. The knowledge does nothing to soothe her anxiety attacks.
Finding love a second time in order to save their marriage…
As Evan and Victoria butt heads during a new courtship period, they’re both forced to delve into secrets of their past and confront old fears. Heat between them grows, bringing acceptance and understanding, but only deep, abiding love can fix what’s broken. They’ll have to defeat a surprising threat and fight for a happily ever after… if they believe the romance is worth healing the pain.

This was a great storyline with characters that were created with such great detail and depth that I couldn’t put this book down until the very last page was turned!
Treasured By the Earl is the fourth book in the Lords of the Night series. I loved this mix of the paranormal and Regency romance.
The characters are well developed, interesting, and have a past marriage together. The story is well written and engaging, keeping my interest from start to finish, with a wife thought to be deceased, amnesia, curses, shifters, a child, and a second chance to make a loving marriage instead of a marriage of convenience.
This is the first book I have read in this series and I would love to read more.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

The fourth book in the Lords of the Night series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I want to read the other books in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Having read the first three books in this series, I was excited to see how Evan dealt with his dragon. Intrigued? Well yes, don’t we all wish to have a little paranormal in our lives? Especially when your other side talks to you and the more you get upset, you want to shift and breath fire!!
One of a line of men who held the title of Coventry, they had been cursed long ago by a gypsy due to their ancestors night of debauchery. Evan, ninth Earl of Coventry was bored while attending the ball. He just wanted to leave. For some reason though her name came to mind. “Victoria. His wife, dead these past seven years, had perished in an inferno of his own making. Never would he cease seeking forgiveness.”
But who should he spy at the masquerade ball, but his long lost wife! How was that possible! He immediately went to her and pulled her into an alcove. But she claimed to not be Victoria and not know him. But it was Her, he knew it although she seemed to have changed!
Such an intriguing story that will keep you on the edge to see if she regains her memory and what will happen! Evan was truly a torched soul and deserved happiness, but you will have to read to find out what happens!
This was a really fantastic story. I tend to stay away from paranormal, but the Regency aspect is what pulled me in. Ms. Sookoo has a distinctly unique writing style and she has a real talent in being able to create a truly engaging story that really captures my interest. Evan and Victoria’s story is filled with heartache and guilt and when they’re given a second chance to make things right with their marriage, it really takes courage on both their parts to make it work, and their journey is not an easy one. This was such a captivating story and I really could not put it down. I have not read the previous books in the series, but that did not impact my understanding and enjoyment of this book, it can be read as a standalone. Although, since I enjoyed this one so much, I am definitely going to go back and read them all!

A kiss for a Dragon?
It has been eons since I read a fantasy set in regency times not only that but has a cursed lord who changes into wait for it a dragon. Now get this unless he gets a kiss from someone with pure love and only once every five years he is doom to be a shifter and any male offspring too. Now, at a ball, things get rather interesting with the introduction of Miss Damaris Sheffield. Evan knows who she really is yet for some reason she does remember. It will be slow going for these two and danger is right around the corner too. This tale is a much a romance and it an acceptance of who one is. I enjoyed the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is the first historical shifter romance I have ever read and it was great. Thinking his wife died in a fire, imagine Evan’s surprise to see Victoria at a ball. What he doesn’t expect is that she has no memory of who she is or who he is. Evan decides this time to romance his wife which includes her getting to know their young son. The story also revolves around a shifter curse that was placed on the male ancestor of Evan and several other lords by a gypsy. I loved the story and would highly recommend it as a great read.

Loved the way Sandra Sookoo mixed the proper Lords and Ladies of England with the dragon shifters. The Earl of Coventry is a dragon shifter who’s male family members were cursed. He thought his wife was dead but finds out she was still alive but had amnesia. The trials they went through to both heal is amazing reading!

This was so good, really good!!! I love an historical romance with a paranormal feature in it, especially if it’s a dragon shifter. Sandra Sookoo did a wonderful job of writing Evan and Victoria’s story. If anyone deserves a HEA, it’s these two, after everything they go through.
Their story is filled with heartache, guilt, secrets, and when they’re given a second chance to make things right with their marriage, it doesn’t come easy but then they are not the people they were before and have learned to be stronger. Having believed his wife lost in a house fire years before, imagine his surprise when she turns up in his life again….alive but with no memory of their past. Not only does she learn that they have a son, she must also accept that Evan is a dragon shifter, a curse put upon his ancestors and passed on to him.
I sympathized with Victoria’s anxiety because I’ve been there and it’s not easy to overcome but with time, love and care, it CAN be eased. All in all, I really enjoyed this story and although we are left wondering if Evan will put an end to the curse when the right time comes along, I like to think he will because earlier in the book he had said he would, that his mind was made up about that:)

Unusual Shifter Regency
While the cover of this book looks like just about any other Regency romance out there, the book’s description reveals that this is not your typical Regency. It is different on at least two levels. It has a strong paranormal element, as the hero is a dragon shifter, his family line cursed by a gypsy after an ancestor’s night of debauchery. The hero, especially at first, comes across as aloof and arrogant, almost Darcy like as that archetypal hero was when we first met him in the classic *Pride and Prejudice*. The other way in which this book is different is that it is not about a new couple trying to figure out if they want to make their nascent relationship permanent. Rather, the hero is a widower, believing that his wife was tragically lost in a fire. But it appears as though things are not as they have seemed for the last seven years; he sees a woman who looks remarkably like her at a ball in London. She has amnesia, though, but she is indeed his wife. So this is really about a couple getting back together after years apart because of tragedy. The fact that she does not remember her previous life at first and that she herself has also really changed in personality is what makes this book fascinating to read as we watch what happens between them. She is not the same woman her husband knew, adding to the complexity of their new relationship. If you enjoy Regencies that have a paranormal aspect to them as well as unusual circumstances like amnesia complicating a second chance, you may very well enjoy this book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
