Taryn of Vanir has spent her entire life fearing the dragons that rule the mountain ranges bordering her father’s kingdom. They are vicious, cruel beasts who care only for gold and how much chaos they can cause. When a knight discovers an heirloom that belonged to Taryn’s mother, the king of Vanir finally has proof that the dragon responsible for her death is alive and well in the mountains. It’s … mountains. It’s the tipping point in a war that’s been brewing for years.
Niressa, the teal and rose dragon, comes for her stolen treasure, intent on forcing the kingdom to return what is hers. When the beast takes Taryn as penance, instead, Taryn knows she must fight for her life. The dragons of Lazeorat will defend their hoardes with their lives—and murder to build it—and Taryn has no intention of being another treasured piece of the hoarde.
But when the dragon transforms into a beautiful woman, the princess finds herself questioning everything she has ever been told.
Could the beasts in the mountains be more than the murderous creatures they’ve been painted as?
She thought she wanted to escape, but suddenly, being treasured doesnt sound so bad, after all . . .

I am amazed by this author. I don’t normally like the female/female trope but Poppy creates such beautiful work that you can’t help but to fall in love with everything she writes. This was another Rollercoaster of emotions for me. I cry more reading Poppy’s work than I ever do but I love that she has the ability to instill those types of emotions and that they convey personally to her readers
This is the most beautiful fairytale I have ever read. And it’s definitely in my top ten favorite books of all times. I don’t even how to express my feeling for this book when All I want to do is keep on repeating how much I loved it and how amazing it is. But I’ll try.
This book felt like as an interesting take on Beauty and the Beast, where Beast is a beautiful pink and teal girl dragon and Beauty is a princess who likes girls. Maybe I’m just seeing Beauty and the Beast in everything I like because that is my favourite fairytale of all times, and especially when Beast gets to keep the beastly form. And here, the Beast is a girl, how cool is that???
But coolness aside, this is also one of the most beautiful romances ever written. The emotions are off the charts, the chemistry between the characters is amazing and the slow build and then subsequent hotness, wow, masterfully done. The author has outdone herself again. Her skill in writing girlie romances is pure brilliance. Without comparison. She is the best, the Queen of Girlie Romance.
Then there is the authors writing. Not only that she gets better with each book I read, she add a poetic expression to some of them, and this book is probably the most poetic one of all. It is beautiful how the words flow and the rhythm they have and how they affect the pace of the story. I was kidnapped, I could not leave it, i could not stop reading, I was taken to the place and I was there in the story. So beautiful.
The characters are beautiful as well, even the villains are proud and beautiful and so well developed and interesting, and there might have been a point I felt a bit for them, which never happened before. And the two main characters Taryn and Nerissa are just absolutely wonderful and impossible not to love. Their inner monologues, their interactions, their chemistry, their love… pure perfection.
I could probably write pages and pages of how much I loved this story. As far as I am concerned, this is a must read whether you like this kind of romance or not, it is just too beautiful to miss out on.
This book deserves more than five freaking stars. Treasured is more than just a love story. When you start this book, please remember that you will need tissues on hand when you read this. To think that I would have learned that by now. Taryn is a princess who is being weighed down by a huge decision she may need to make. She is accepted by her father and friends for her choices of a partner. So then one day everything changes when she is taken by a dragon. A dragon who talks!! So what brings the dragon to the castle? Over some treasure. But what? Then Taryn meets Narissa. Taryn learns of things that may help her in the long run. She never thought she would feel for Narissa. It does get steamy and so pure. The way that these two can discuss things and learn more about each other, it brings them closer. It is enough. Can they both have happiness? What will it take for them to realize that it is more than just love. By the time i got to the end, I was in freaking tears. I mean a blubbering hot mess that had my husband question me. Poppy some how has a way to write stories that break me and slowly puts me back together. The only way I fully heal is to let the last tear fall. Thank you Poppy for this treasure trove of words.
This was such a good story! It was frustrating and rewarding! It has Dragons and the characters have great chemistry. I don’t even know what you’re doing with your life if you’re not reading this book
This is an amazing love story. You have great characters, beautiful world, action, adventure, danger, and heat. Poppy has out done herself again. She has given us this wonderful love story, that will make you believe in love again. Come meet the royals , and the dragons, take this journey. This story will put a smile on your face, learn that love is worth any fight.
All the feels
Love this take on princesses and dragons. This book is full of emotions and I absolutely love it.
This love story is a book you are not going to want to put down
This was so much fun to read! It’s got love and adventure, a kickass heroine and a dragon shifter! Poppy definitely delivered another great book and I hope there’s a sequel!
I have a thing for dragon shifters and poppy woods did them justice. I’ve read most of Poppy Woods books and i’ll keep reading w.e she puts out. There’s just something about the way she draws you in, the ways she describes the worlds and characters.
Ff interspecies love story. Do you settle for what supposed to do/how you’re supposed to live. Or do you go after what you want.
