5 star all the way… don’t miss this one.
Wow, what a series! It starts out with a love situation that seems to have no solution that can ever be right, but Marie Force found a way to turn this into a family saga filled with Love (with a capital L) and HEA after HEA, but with mountains and mountains of obstacles along the way, of course. I laughed, I swooned, and shed a tear or two, and I loved every minute of it.
Five beautifully-written books with not one dull moment. All 5 star. This is now one of my favorites. Highly recommended!
TREADING WATER
How it all started and filled with emotion.
MARKING TIME
How it began to grow into an awesome family saga with an extended cast of great characters and loaded with all the feels.
STARTING OVER
Although this is mainly Brandon and Daphne’s story, it’s also the story of all the O’Malley brothers, and a wonderful story it is. I’m loving the growth and love of this big extended “family.” This has the most beautiful epilogue that definitely required keeping the tissues close by.
COMING HOME
Another great addition to this saga. Although this is basically Kate’s story, this is just as much her sister Jill’s story as well. And why wouldn’t it be with how close they are and how intertwined their lives are.
FINDING FOREVER
Loved the conclusion to this wonderful series, with an epilogue told from the POV of the character whose story started it all.

The series that started it all. I would recommend reading this series even before the Gansett Island Series.

Well written, good character development. However, I have never disliked any character in a book as much as I dislike Jack and Andi. The premise that Jack spent 14 months sitting by his wife’s bedside so distraught over her condition that he couldn’t function, but two months after he goes back to work he meets Andi and falls in love with her at first sight strains credibility for me.
That just the beginning of his lack of moral character. Andi knows he’s married but she plays him like a fiddle. She becomes the aggressor and shows her own lack of morality. The rest of the cast of characters are fine, likeable people, but my favorites are Clare, Jack’s sick and abandoned wife, and Aiden, her new love.

I usually love Marie Force, but every once in a while, she has a book that is a downer, for lack of a better word. I just walk away depressed. This series has these moments.
