Fate is a fickle mistress. No matter a man’s desires, she tends to give with one hand, and take with the other. Good or bad, it doesn’t matter to her, as long as there’s balance.Ralph Lewis, otherwise known as Po’Boy, made one decision that changed the trajectory of his entire life. On the losing end of a schoolyard fight, he’d been on his back in the dust, glaring up at the boy who’d flattened … flattened him. Had watched unbelieving as that same boy stretched out his hand, offering to help Ralph to his feet. Against every instinct, he had accepted.
In that instant, he went from friendless pariah to having a partner and ally. For the first time in his life, he was respected… and feared. Po’Boy spent the next decade defending his position at his best friend’s side. Life was good. Fate has a way of taking back the reins, though.
A long-ago action places him directly in the crosshairs of their enemies, and circumstances force Po’Boy’s hand. Members of motorcycle clubs, men like him who live an outlaw’s life don’t treat kindly with traitors, and in their world, that is what Po’Boy has become.
With events threatening to pull him away from everything he holds dear, he’s made to walk a careful line to keep those he loves safe. Bound by silence, for his brothers’ sake, he’ll suffer through the worst thing that can happen to a man who lives and breathes the brotherhood. Out Bad.

Treading the Traitor’s Path: Out Bad audio version
Having Kirt Graves narrate this story, as he did the first one (This is the Route of Twisted Pain), was a genius move! He does the southern, Louisiana, tones and pathos, beautifully. Kirt’s ability to change voices and keep the sound is amazing. I could listen to him read to me all day long. Reading the book was great; listening to Kirt read it makes it a whole new experience to enjoy over and over again.
I’ve read this book previously, but had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. It’s fantastic! The narrator did a wonderful job in bringing each character to life. Can’t wait for the next 🙂
Treading the Traitor’s Path; Out Bad was a book I thought I would struggle with as anybody who knows me, knows that I struggle with the whole sharing thing. MariaLisa deserves a huge congratulations for this book as it is the first book with a threesome where my angst wasn’t taking over. They fit perfectly and I was comfortable with the whole scenario from the get go. Their story contained the true grit of an MC, it approached a subject that today unfortunately people still don’t understand and it was highly emotional. I jumped on the back of the bike and hung on for all it was worth as Po’Boy and Wrench find their way to the destination that was their path to happiness. Their story had me on the edge of my seat, at times my eyes filling with tears and ultimately ending with a huge smile on my face as love finally became the winner. Not only is this an MC romance but one of a true example of simply love is love. As much as I love me some Po’Boy and Wrench their story would not have been complete without the glue that held this pair together. Crissy was an amazing character and one that held your heart from the start. Out Bad, definitely not, in good hell yeah.
Smokin’ HOT and sweet with some drama thrown in, I absolutely loooooved this book! Po’Boy, Wrench and Crissy were a match made in heaven, as cheesy as that may sound. The chemistry between the three was of the charts, the story itself was captivating and the sexy times… well, you’re either gonna need your partner nearby or make sure B.O.B has batteries in, because jeezus, these guys are on fire in the bedroom.
I can’t wait for book 3 and Retro’s story. 5 stars all the way for Treading the Traitor’s Path: Out Bad.
I think Po’Boy’s story is my favorite so far from this series!
Po’Boy has grown up in one of the worst environments for a child to grow up in. However, after making friends with George (aka Twisted) he is set on a path to do something with himself and maybe learn more about himself. He has feelings for a man who never gives any indication he knows what Po’Boy feels and now he’s certain these feelings are starting to progress to another male, and he’s not sure what this man will think if he acts on them.
Crissy is not your typical bada$$ chick, who may come across abrasive in her quest to be independent. She’s got a silent strength that comes out when she must protect those she loves.
Wretch has been in love with Penny for as long as he can remember. But one warning from her uncle and it’s now an unrequited love that he will never get to experience. However, his confusing feelings for a man throw him for a tailspin and he can’t decide if he should act on them or not.
I absolutely loved this story. I loved that the author didn’t want to put labels on the characters as to whether they were “bi” or “gay” but just loved who they loved no matter the gender.
This book quickly pulled me in and kept me anxiously turning the pages to see what would happen next. The author easily drew me so I felt a part of the story. The story is effortlessly told from the three main characters point of view. The characters are complex, and believable, I enjoyed getting to know them. My emotions were all over the place while reading this. I smiled, got angry, cried, and held my breath in anticipation. While this is the second book in the series, I think it can read as a stand-alone. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Po’boy Chrissy and Wrench
I read the first I series and was excited to get to this one, but this took me awhile to get into it…but when it started to hit me WOW…there were chills so many times. The love they shared. The anxiety of hiding who they are to fit into someone else’s “box”
Loved their story I don’t know why it took me so long to read this series. But I’m glad I finally got to it.
MariaLisa doesn’t disappoint.
