This is a PLUS length novel–over 100,000 words long**A woman trapped in the pastA dark, intense warrior who claims she is his wifeWill Caroline survive her stay in the parallel universe she has fallen into?Or will she be forever…Trapped in Time? Dr. Caroline Lambert has a PhD in Astro-Temporal Physics but no clue about matters of the heart. Married to her work, she has built a machine called … work, she has built a machine called PORTAL, capable of opening a window into other universes. She believes it is only for observation, so imagine her horror when she finds herself sucked through the window and right into a whole other world–a world that seems stuck in the past, around the time of the Victorian era.
Now Caroline must deal with hoop skirts and elaborate etiquette, not to mention all the dangers of the past. It’s a minefield of antiquated social mores and poisons used as medicines and cosmetics. But perhaps the most perplexing problem is the husband she has somehow acquired–a tall, dark Blood Kindred named Richard who claims she is his wife and refuses to let her go. For in this universe, the Kindred arrived 200 years earlier than in her own time and they have made their way into polite society…as Richard seems determined to make his way into Caroline’s heart.
Will Caroline ever find her way back to her own time and universe? Will she succumb to Richard’s charms and give in to the big Blood Kindred who claims her as his own? And what about the scheming mother she has in this world who is determined that she will leave Richard for a Viscount of questionable morals? Caroline doesn’t know what to do, she only knows that if she cannot somehow open another window into her own world she will be forever…Trapped in Time.

Get lost in time
This author has managed to draw me into a sub genre that I usually avoid. But who can resist a Tale of the Kindred no matter where, or when, it takes you. Not me obviously. The author has managed to hope us back in time with this book and yet she still brought the intensity to her characters and the story that we have come to expect. She really brought the Victorian era alive in this book and kept the story fast paced and engaging. Certainly another story that you won’t be able to put down until the HEA. I’m looking forward to the next book by this author.
This is truly an adventure and a half. Being sucking into another universe to replace your dead twin has to be a mind bender, but to also find the male you’ve been dream sharing, what a nightmare to have to hide the truth. I lived this story and cannot wait to see how things go with Emmaline. .

I’m never bored with this series and this one was certainly different. I haven’t read a travel romance in years, what a great reintroduction, perhaps I’m hooked again. Very cleverly written by this author, this story brings two characters together from a different time and place and makes it work well. I couldn’t put this book down, I highly recommend it.
I enjoyed reading this book , it has a good storyline. There is action, adventure and intrigue. The interaction and chemistry between Caroline and Richard is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Several years ago, I read a couple of time travel romances, but found I didn’t care for the genre. When I read the blurb to this latest Tales of the Kindred novel, I wondered how the author was going to make it work. Of course, as I discovered long ago, never underestimate the writing prowess of Evangeline Anderson. Not only did she pull it off with finesse, but she also added that Anderson flourish as well.
Having read the introduction, the reader knows the heroine, Caroline, has a PhD in Astro-Temporal Physics and has invented a machine that allows us to view other universes. The reader also knows the hero, Richard, lives in another universe, but his Earth is still experiencing Victorian times. The twist? His Victorian times have some similarities to our own, but it also contains many cultural differences. Plus, not all the characters present in both universes have the same behaviors.
Although this novel is definitely a full-length one, it reads so smoothly that I started it in the afternoon, almost forgot supper (thank goodness for leftovers), and continued on into the very late evening. It is definitely a keeper that left me trapped in the pages. This Kindred tale is one of Ms. Anderson’s best.

Evangeline Anderson hasn’t let me down with a single book in the Kindred series and this one is no different. From the start to the very end, I couldn’t stop reading. Caroline and Richard are very well developed characters, and you feel their connection and struggles with every turn of the page.
Don’t want to give any spoilers so I’ll just say it’s a must read, along with all the Kindred stories, and you won’t be disappointed!
I absolutely loved this book. The chemistry was sooo intense. Loved the story line. It’s so cool how they can open the different timelines and should lead to many other cool stories. As always these books are amazing and can’t wait til the next one!
This was a great story. I love how the author combined time travel with her Kindred books. Amazing touch.
I loved both characters in this story. Caroline felt like love was not for her. She just could not get “excited” when it came to being with a man. Richard he wanted love and was having a hard time achieving it with his wife.
I love how these two got to know each other and fall in love with each other. There was so many intimate moments between these two. Also some jealousy.
This was truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read it. I hope there will be more time travel stories with this series.
This a a very good twist from the original version of the Brides and it entwines both worlds very well. Having said this, and the fact that I am a huge fan of her work since I have read almost all her books, there is always space for improvement. For example, female kindreds. Make a story of a female kindred falling for a hardheaded human. Please, have a curvy girl love her curves without a doubt. As females, usually we find something we don’t like about ourselves and mostly are never pleased with the way we are, but make a character that doesn’t doubt that a hunk like our heroes can fall for them. Empowerment to the max! Thanks for varying the Brides and keep the good work!!
I love the Kindred – and I enjoyed the multiverse “time-travel” twist to this story. Way to keep the series fresh!
While watching Richard’s wife hit by lightening Caroline neared the edge of her time travel machine aboard the Mother Ship to get a better view, she ends up getting transported and ended up in another world and time.
Unfamiliar with the period of history she finds herself trying to fit in as Richards wife who didn’t want to be married to him and did not want him to touch her.
Having feelings for Richard who is a doctor, wants to tell him who and were she comes from. Since women are treated different when they appear to be crazy, she fears she may end of in a hospital.
One night Caroline follows Richard and finds out he has a sister.
There is a ceremony to split up Richard and Caroline gets interrupted and shortly after that he ends up being transported to the Mother Ship.
Later when the machine is able to function again, Richard goes back to retrieve Caroline.

Who says you can’t have a sci fi and regency book all in one? Well, if you’re Evangeline Anderson you definitely can. Ms. Anderson did a fabulous job, it was the perfect mix of both historical and sci fi. There was action, sexy times, villians, and I loved both main characters! Also, the lead in for the next book was great. I can’t wait for the next one! This book was phenomenal and I’m not spoiling anything. You’ll love it!

A complete fascinating read and so different from the other Kindred stories. I just loved how Evangeline Anderson managed to combine time travel, steam punk, historical, and futuristic science into this Kindred story. Although I’m not a big fan of time travel back historical time I however enjoy this book a lot. So looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I received a free copy via Booksprout I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Caroline being the leading lady, is in a whole different other verse, she found Richard a kindred who was well engaged to what was her double, but she wasnt on earth instead she found herself on terra. It took a little bit I like the kind of time travel book, it was different.

Trapped in Time :A Kindred Tales PLUS Novel: Brides of the Kindred – Evangeline Anderson
Somehow Evangeline Anderson has managed to combine time travel, sci-fi romance and futuristic science combined with some steam punk and of course her special brand for steamy sexual scenes into an exciting addition to the Kindred Tales. Although I’m not a big fan of time travel back to the Victorian era, this story actually takes place in an alternate universe version of a Victorian Themed world.
A full length novel, the storyline is very creative and the author immediately pulls in the reader. Her special world building threaded into her Kindred World and characters, both new and familiar ones aboard the Mother ship.
Although there are many obstacles, twists and turns for the main characters (she based the hero on Richard Armitage), to get to their HEA, it was a very enjoyable interesting read. In addition the seeds of the next story line for the next Kindred Tales are developed and the teaser first chapter is pretty awesome (thank goodness it is coming out soon).
Trapped in Time is another new twist for the Kindred series and as usual this talented author pulled it off flawlessly. I never get tired of reading about the Kindred because each story is fresh and new. I was captivated from the beginning and engaged until the end. I can’t wait to read what this talented author writes next.

A novel look at budding love between peoples from different worlds within a window is fascinating and scandalous to see.
Caroline is a highly accomplished scientist in her field who becomes an unexpected participant involving a device of her making.
Richard is an inhabitant of this other world who unknowingly becomes her “husband” and only the Goddess understands the intense feelings that she begins to feel for him.
An adventure in surviving within the strict codes of the time period cause much strife and near peril for Caroline and in turn Richard as well.
Riveting and full of excited twists, an intriguing read to the last page!

A scifi time travel romance with some awesome twist. Caroline and Richard complement each other well. This book is great from the beginning of the book I was suck into this book I was so invested in these 2 characters. I love the way evangeline anderson wrote this book great detailed story plot. The kindred world is one of the best series I have read. I voluntarily review this book for my honest opinion
Amazing and so different from the other Kindred stories. This one brings us to a parallel universe when Caroline opens a window to take a look at one universe near ours. She will get more than she expected when her portal takes her. Now in a parallel universe that is quite like Victorian times she must find a way to survive and find a way home. Caroline’s character is a brilliant scientist but even she can’t handle the way women are treated. But this is a Kindred story so expect one gorgeous male to show up. Plenty of adventure and danger but the romance is so worth it.
Wow trapped in time by author

This author was able to write a time travel romance/ sci-fi and when
