I absolutely loved this book. It has suspense, murder, second chances, kidnapping, romance. It was fast paced and I couldn’t put it down.
Brock was a wounded veteran who struggled with PTSD but was finally getting his life back together, with the help of his K9 friend. He had dumped his fiancée after his injury not wanting her to be tied to him during a recovery that he thought would never end. He still loved her but he had hurt her badly and didn’t think she would ever be able to forgive him.
Sadie was devastated when Brock told her he didn’t want to marry her when he was in the hospital. She tried to tell him that she loved him and they would get through it together, but he turned his back on her so she left. Now, it is four years later and she needs his help and doesn’t have anyone else she trusts to turn to. Her twin sister, Katie, is missing and Sadie is convinced that her life is in danger. She reaches out to Brock for help since he lives next door to her sister’s place.
The suspense is intense and kept me reading until late into the night but it was worth it. The. story is a clean suspenseful romance with great character development. I wanted so badly for these two to get their happy ending. You’ll have to read it to see if they do. . . (c:
I checked this book out of the Kindle Owners Lender Library. I would highly recommend it for a great story.
Another awesome book by Margaret Daley. If you like danger, suspense, murder, drama and happy ever after then this book is a must-read. Identical twins, one missing the other kidnapped in her place. Next door ex-marine and his dog to the Rescue.
It is very suspenseful. Strong characters, very well written
Trapped is the third installment from Margaret Daley’s series, Everyday Heroes. I enjoyed this book. I loved the chemistry between Brock and Sadie. They are characters that are relatable and ones that many readers could connect to. The story involves, danger and suspense, as well as, romance.
I am giving Trapped a well deserved five stars and highly recommend it for readers who love clean romantic suspense. I had no problem had it read in one sitting.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Trapped by Margaret Daley
Everyday Heroes Series Book Three
Sadie Williams has just moved back to Colorado when she gets a call from her twin sister, Katie. Sadie knows something is wrong and calls their neighbor to check on her sister. Not only a neighbor…the man who had Sadie leaving her hometown to start with. A man she didn’t plan on seeing ever again. A man she’s been convincing herself she doesn’t love.
Brock Carrington came back from the war a broken man. Not a “whole” man like Sadie deserved. With the help of his service dog, Bella, and the men in the PTSD group he leads, he’s much better than four years ago. Much better than when he sent Sadie out of his life.
As always, Margaret Daley writes an intriguing suspense romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages to see what happens next. And the service dogs ad such a cuddly aspect to the stories too.

The action and suspense in Trapped ramped up right from the first chapter, leaving me turning the pages to find out what happened next!
I appreciated the tension that Sadie and Brock’s former relationship brought to the novel. Once engaged, Brock broke things off with Katie after he was injured in battle. The fact that Sadie needed to depend on Brock now in order to survive and also to find her twin sister created a attraction fueled dynamic.
Trapped is a great choice for those who enjoy fast paced suspense stories, stories with characters formerly in the military, wounded hero stories, or second chance love stories. It is another good addition to the Everyday Heroes collection, but can also be read as a stand alone novel.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Loved it!!!
I always know when I get a book written by Margaret Daley that I’m in for a treat. I’ll tell you a secret, when my husband spots one of her books he will laugh and say I guess you’ll be up late tonight. It’s true because when I open one of her books I’m immediately drawn into the story and don’t stop reading until the last page is turned. For this reason I use the term one setting read for a lot of books.
This book is the 3rd installment in the Everyday Heroes series, but it’s definitely a stand alone story. This book brings elements of edge of your seat suspense, plot twists and turns, complex characters, romantic tension, turmoil, crisis of faith, and love.
This story centers around Sadie Williams. She grew up Butte City, Colorado with her twin sister, Katie. Of course life doesn’t always turn out the way you plan, especially for Sadie. 4 years ago she was engaged to literally the boy, Brock Carrington, next door and was planning their future. Then came the dread news that Brock was injured in battle and flown to Germany. Sadie immediately flew out to be with him, but Brock ended their relationship and broke her heart all at the same time. When she hears Brock is returning home Sadie knows she must leave and learn to live without him.
Sadie has been busy in the past 4 years. She has written a cookbook and her cooking shows are very popular. She has decided to moved back to Butte City to be closer to her sister who still resides in the family cabin in the mountains. With Brock living next door to Katie, Sadie dreads accidentally running into him, but with Katie’s cryptic call and the “twin spidey sense” Sadie knows something is very wrong.
Brock has not spoken with Sadie in years. He knew his harsh words were cruel to her, but he didn’t want her pity not then or now. Learning to live without his leg was one thing, but dealing with PTSD was always with him and not something that was easy. His support group had helped a lot and so had his support dog, Bella. In fact he has just started to train Bella in search and rescue which gave him great satisfaction in being able to help people.
This is a fantastic book. It is a mystery laced with spine tingling suspense. The characters are complex, but endearing as they endure with the turmoil of dealing with romantic tension during life and death situations. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who love suspense.
*I received this book from the author. I was not expected to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Suspense, romance, and inspiration are hallmarks of Author Margaret Daley. From the start, Sadie Williams, is frightened by the phone call from her twin, Katie. Brock Carrington, Sadie’s ex-fiancée and Katie’s next-door neighbor is the one-person Sadie feels she can turn to for help. My favorite is Golden Retriever, Bella, Brock’s service dog. She is faithful, obedient, and brave. Will Brock’s Afghanistan war injury prevent him from being able to protect Sadie? Will his heart betray him? Will they be able to figure out where Katie is and why really bad guys are after her? I was drawn in from the beginning trying to figure out who did it and why! A thrilling story with a surprise ending that will keep you turning pages!
I was given a copy of this book. The opinions are my own.
Trapped ( Everyday Heroes Book 3 )
Trapped Is book three of three in Everyday Heroes Series. Even though this is in a series it can be read as a stand alone without any problems. Wow, What an action packed and riveting story from start to finish. I was hooked from the start and did not want to put it down. Daley knows how to write those page turner. I caught myself trying to read faster to see what was going to happen next. I was not disappointed. After Sadie got a phone call from her twin sister, Katie, she goes looking for her. Action on top of action takes place and Sadie finds herself in the middle of it trying to find her sister. Sadie’s ex-fiancee and ex-marine, Brock, comes to Sadie’s rescue. Are they to late to find Katie? What could have happen to her? Can the two of them stay alive long enough to find out where Katie is or what has happen to her? Loved this story and the characters. Bella is a special dog and I fell in love with her right away.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
In true Margaret Daley style, the opening scene hooks you and you can’t stop reading! This story is about twins, Sadie and Katie. In typical “twin” fashion, when one twin is in jeopardy, the other twin “feels it” and wont stop until the mystery is solved. Sadie receives a cryptic message from her twin, Katie, that leads her to believe she is in danger and when she arrives at the family home, Sadie is accosted by thugs so she KNOWS something is going on. That’s when Sadie’s ex-fiancé, Brock, shows up since he lives next door and together they determine they will do whatever it takes to find Katie. I loved both characters. Brock’s brother, Simon, was great too. Brock was in the military and due to some things that happened (no spoilers!) he felt he had to end his engagement with Sadie 4 years earlier. I was rooting for them to get back together during the whole book but I totally understood why Brock felt he had to end things previously. Their adventures while trying to find Katie are dangerous and non-stop action which keep the reader very engaged so be ready to not put this book down! The enemy is ruthless and he’ll do anything to cover up his crime! I also really enjoyed Brock’s service dog, Bella. What a special joy these service dogs are and the author showed us their capabilities in many ways during the story. I highly recommend this book!
