Sure, Antonio Sarvilli is the money man behind his brother’s criminal empire, but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy. He’s not the one out there killing people. All he does is make greenbacks and enjoy the fruits of his labor. That attitude changes when his brother assigns him to get to know Phoebe Cavanaugh, a Good Samaritan who witnessed something she wasn’t supposed to. Now, all Antonio wants is … all Antonio wants is to get out so he can be with Phoebe.
Except that’s not how it works when you’re part of the mob.

When Phoebe goes for a jog to help get rid of her hangover, she never thought she would be thrown into a kidnapping with ties to the mafia. Her life just keeps getting better. First fired her from a job she really loved, a bad hangover, and now a kidnapping. Then she thought her life was changing for the better when she meets Antonio (Tony) outside her apartment when he helps her get away from the reporters waiting on her to come out, to bombard her with questions about the “kidnapping”. Antonio is sent there actually to find out what she knows about it by his brother, the mob boss father (Gino) of the “kidnapped” little girl (Nina). **Spoiler** It was the Gino who grabbed Nina to punish his ex wife for having a date the previous night. Can you say controlling narcissist.
This is when the story really takes off and gets good! The chemistry between Phoebe and Antonio is off the chart. This is a well written story that flows and I’m looking forward to the next.
I received a free copy for my honest opinion and that is: I liked it so well, I bought it.
I recommend this book and author.
This was an awesome read. The tone of the book was totally unexpected but that was what made it a great read. I can’t wait to read the next book.
I love to read mafia books…That being said this book is one my favorite.Once I started reading it I couldn’t put the book down. I love Antonio, Phoebe, Margot and Nina…Gino not so much. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Trapped By The Mob by Tami Lund
Phoebe just wants to feel better after drinking with a group from work. She decided to go for a job but on the way, her stomach started doing summersaults so she ended up in the bushes. When she stood up she saw a little girl forced into a car and called nine-one-one. The little girl belonged to a mob boss and now his brother Tony is watching Phoebe for him. This is a wonderful love story about someone you want but is suppose to be off limits. The heart wants what the heart wants and now I can’t wait to read Tami Lund’s second book about Detroit Mafia Romance Book. I do highly recommend this book, it is one that is hard to put down till you finish it. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.
Trapped by the Mob
Phoebe is having a bad day. Last night trying to keep up with her younger coworkers, she had a little bit too much to drink. Oh man she feels like trash this morning. Maybe a little run will blow out the alcohol and make her feel better, then into work to act like she can run with the younger crowd.
While out running, Phoebe witnesses a child being kidnapped. Phoebe wants to do the right thing and report the kidnapping. She meets the mom, Margot, who downplays the kidnapping as her ex-husband collecting his daughter.
Phoebe’s life is about to change. Phoebe likes Margot and wants to help. Margot’s ex is a man affiliated with the Detroit Mob. Margot knows that her life will never truly be hers, as Gino carefully watches Margot and her daughter. Gino assigns his brother Antonio to watch Phoebe and learn about her.
Antonio has only ties to the Mob through being Gino’s money man and financier. He meets and subsequently falls for Phoebe. This is not part of the plan.
I loved this story. I so sympathized with Phoebe and her night out with her co-workers. She wanted to do the right thing and meet some wonderful people tied to the Mob. She falls for Antonio but can this work?
Great story with complex characters. Lots of action and I could not put this book down. I love strong women characters. I am SO looking forward to the next book.
This was a new to me author and I’m definitely a new fan.
Looking forward to reading more and finding out what happens as there is sure to be trouble ahead.
What happens when we are in the wrong place at the right time, we do what we think is right even if it could get us in trouble with the wrong people.
While out running one morning Phoebe ended up witnessing something that turned her life upside down without even knowing it. Now she is torn between doing the right thing or turning a blind eye for a man and family she just met.
But what happens when the truth comes out, trust is broken and so are hearts??
This is a new author to me and I’m looking forward to reading more especially, Freed from the Mob (Detroit Mafia Romance book2).
Not Your Parent’s Mob Story!!
Phoebe witnesses a young girl being taken away by men in a fancy car. What she does not know is the “kidnapper” is the girl’s father Gino. Gino is a mob boss getting revenge on his ex-wife for going out on a date. Antonio Sarvilli works on the financial side of things for his brother Gino. He tells himself that staying out of the details, means he is not “responsible”.
When instructed to get close to Phoebe to see what she knows and who she is telling, sparks fly between them. Going by “Tony” to remove the mob connotation, there are many “secrets” kept protecting the innocent. One does not leave the mob, and one does not cross the mob. Who will survive?
Well-written story of family, choices, danger and romance!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
Antonio money man for the mob, and is tasked with the job of getting to know Phoebe who witnesses something she shouldn’t have. Phoebe is a good person who is now tangled in something she shouldn’t be. But when love happens will it be enough? Can Antonio walk away and be with Phoebe?
