I didn’t meant to cross over into Faerie. It was an accident. And now… now I’m in jail.
Fairy jail. It’s a thing. When I refused the attentions of a Seelie noble, I earned myself a one-way ticket to Siúcra, the most infamous prison in the Fae Queen’s court.I’m still reeling over the fact that the fae are real. That Faerie is a real place, and that there are real consequences to being a human … place, and that there are real consequences to being a human surrounded by the amazingly gorgeous—if also amazingly heartless—creatures in this world.
Their cruelty doesn’t stop after I’m captured. Turns out, I’m the only human in my wing of the prison. And, I find out pretty quickly, the only female.
Ah, crap.
Thank goodness for Rys. He might not be the friendliest cellmate, but so long as I don’t ask him questions about why he’s locked up, he’s willing to watch my back. Know what? That totally works for me, especially since I can’t seem to keep my eyes off of his.
I’m in jail. Falling for another prisoner should be the last thing on my mind. Then again, Rys is a Light Fae. A Seelie. He’s one of them. Sure, he might be stuck here with me now, but he used to guard this place. He knows the way out—he just doesn’t want to leave.
He’s got a past. One look at the ragged scar ruining his otherwise perfect fae features and even I can tell that he’s not as innocent as he claims. But no matter how hard I try to get him to see things my way, he refuses to get involved.
Just like he refuses to admit that he can sense the crazy attraction brewing between us.
It started out as protection before it blossomed into something… more, whether he wants to pretend or not. And when he finally decides it’s time for him to break free, I know I’ll do whatever I have to to make sure that he takes me with him.
**Trapped is the first book in an exciting new Fae series by the author of Touched by the Fae. Featuring a directionally-challenged, mouthy human heroine, the scarred Light Fae who’d rather stay in jail, and their quest to save Faerie together—well, once they break out of Siúcra, that is.
It’s also a steamy supernatural prison romance, with a bunch of profanity, an attempted sexual assault (don’t worry, the guy gets what’s coming to him!), and is fully intended for adult readers only.

Trapped by Jessica Lynch is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new prison romance series that I an so hooked and can not wait to read the next book in this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about prison, fantasy and paranormal romances.

You should definitely read the first book after the prequel, so if you haven’t grabbed it, go for it.
There are a lot of spoilers for what happened to Helen to find herself in the Fairy World but you would really like it more if you start from the beginning.
After that intro, we then get this story were the action really starts, even though she is looked away in a prison.
Who would have guessed prison time could be so diverse. 😉
So, she meets Rys there, and you can guess what happens after… I can only tell you it’s the how that happens that is really awesome. (By the way, this is a spin off serie from “Touched by the Fae”, if you haven’t read that I highly recommend as these events happen after and are strongly connected to that serie)
Anyway, this book ends with a fantastic cliffhanger, so I can’t wait to start the next book.
REALLY REALLY good book!!! The previous series was VERY GOOD also and this book and trilogy has some of the characters from the first trilogy included. The characters are wonderfully depicted and the Fairy world the heroine falls into is wonderous and frightening. I’ll be staying clear of fairy rings from now on!!!
I couldn’t put the books in the series down!! read 2 in one day.
Our heroine is trapped in Fairy, not exactly where she intended to be in the first place, let alone sent to Fairy prison. Getting back home is now the least of her worries.
This is book one of this urban fantasy series. There is a prequel story which provides the setup, but is not strictly necessary to your enjoyment of this story.
The story is well written, easy to read and just a bit twisted. The characters are well developed and vividly portrayed which helps to bring the story to life. I really liked our heroine and feel for all the stuff she is going through. She is also pretty smart and tough, showing quite a bit of spine with all that she encounters in the prison. I am definitely enjoying the way the story is building and look forward to the next book in the saga.
Highly recommended

I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I thought the first part of the series was good this spin off is even better.
Elle, a human, accidentally crossed into Faerie and found herself in a ton of trouble. The Fae get some sort of power from human who accept their touch as long as the human freely allows it. But when she refused the touch of a Seelie noble, she was sent to Siúcra, a notorious prison.
At one point, she is put in a cell with Rys, not a pleasant Fae actually, but he did protect her from a guard who wanted her to accept his touch, at which point he would “own” her. Rys is a Light Fae, a Seelie. But he used to guard the prison and may know how to get out, only he doesn’t want to . . . YET. But when he does, she wants to be sure he takes her with him!
Grab your copy and let the story pull you right in. Elle and Rys are good characters I am comfortable cheering for. This is the start of their adventure, so don’t miss it!
Cool premise and ideas, love the connection between Elle and Rys, love all the magical elements, and love the Fae setting. This was a fully entertaining story and I’m super excited to continue the story; I wish it was already out! I hope things work out the way I want them too. I didn’t read the prequel about how Elle found herself trapped in Faerie, sold to some jerk Fae, and now in a Fae prison for refusing his advances. The Fae in this book need permission to touch a human or they will be burned, but they try to use other tactics to get their way. Elle has to constantly worry about being forced to do things she doesn’t want to do from the Fae guards. Luckily, she meets Rys, who they offers her some protection; well, as much protection as another prisoner can offer. I’ve only read the prequel and book 1 of the Shadow series, but Rys wasn’t exactly a good guy Fae in that series. In this book, we get to read another side of him and find a bit of redemption. I see that he has changed, so I’m definitely rooting for him. Elle is wonderful too; she’s a strong, intelligent woman. Love her sass and clear minded thinking. The passion is sizzling between these two, and I love how their relationship evolves. This book has a cliffhanger, so you’ll definitely need to continue the series for the full story. Really looking forward to it!!
Don’t step into a fairy ring. If you do, you might find yourself at the mercy of all the magical creatures in Fairie. The characters in this book are really good and I enjoyed the story line. I thought it was original and things just kept happening that made me sit up and take notice. I would recommend this book.

Human Elle (aka Helen) (FMC) is in Faerie by accident by going through a fairy circle and now shes in Siucre a faerie prison after refusing Lord Veron’s advances. So its like out of the frying pan into the fire. A prison full of fae guards who are looking to get her to accept their touch and they literally own her. The only man she doesnt have to worry is her cellmate Rys. Hes not friendly or talkative to anyone including her. I really liked Elle and her internal convos made me laugh in places. I dont think ive seen enough of Rys to like him or not. Waiting to see how that pans out in future books and after that ending i cant wait to see how that goes. A pretty great read though and i enjoyed reading it
This is a new to me author and I was not disappointed. I loved the story and the characters. I look forward to reading much more from the author.

So I love a good paranormal book mixed in with my rom coms and other romance novels and this one was great! I loved how intriguing this book was! I couldn’t stop reading or trying to figure out what the heck was going to happen!!! I kept wondering if Rhys was trustworthy–I mean he seems to be but I just couldn’t figure out! I loved they mystery around Rhys and I cannot wait until Book 2 to figure out what happens next!!
With that said, yes, this ends on a bit of a cliffhanger–your left wondering what is going to happen next BUT its not such a cliffhanger that you feel like your going to explode trying to figure out whats happens next–well at least not for me! Such a great book!!
I know I should have not expected more Action ,Magic , Questing…But I did and it wasn’t there. So far this series as an Honest ARC reviewer has left me wanting …All those things that make up a Fantasy novel..This is Not like her last series that Incorporated romance in a Fantasy novel , this is just Bleh ..all romance and introspection of the HUMAN female. It could have been a lot shorter and a lot better if the Romance was ore filtered and the Action more prevalent. I hope the 3rd installment doesn’t continue in this way. This story line is actually an excellent one I think.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it is the first book in the series.
Elle has accidently found herself in Faerie. She refused the attentions of a Seelie and she is now in a Faerie prison. She meets Rys who becomes her cellmate. He watches out for her, trying to keep her safe. He is a Light Fae in the prison but has no intention of ever leaving. The attraction between then grows and situations outside the prison begins to change, Rys decides to escape and take Elle with him.
I love this Faerie world that the author has created and the two brilliant main characters. This is definitely a book that hooks you from the beginning and you wont be able to put it down. There is plenty of action in this book and I love how the relationship between the two main characters grows and develops. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
So this is a good read without the prequel, just a little confusing. I wish before I read this I did read the prequel. The being said, Oh em gee! This book is great and different from the other prison books I’ve been reading!

This read is a fantastic add to the series. It pulled me in right from the start and had me on the edge of my seat with the twists and turns, I am definitely loving this series. It’s a fast paced read that the scenes are written epically, I can visualize the scenes in my head as I read. A definite must read

Better than I expected!
“Trapped” is the beginning of Elle and Rhy’s story. This spin-off tale is well-written, original, exciting, steamy, and full of suspense, action, drama, and danger. It is the perfect beginning of their story in the Siucra Faerie Prison. The cliffhanger ending almost made me cry when I realized that Ella could not be with her soulmate. I am excited to read the next chapter in their story in “Escaped” Book 2!
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A human found her self in Faerie and being there with out any magic. The female human learned fast don’t give the Fae your real name and don’t eat anything from there. She found her self with Lord Veron and found out that he could not touch her if she did not want him to non of the Fae can. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.
