Good reading
I like every Morgan Rice’s books I’ve read!
good story
Interesting concept on ET communication. Reminded me of the movie Phenomenon in some ways. The youngster was a little irritating, but then when that age, they often are.
The book was okay. About young adult level. The author’s recount of how the children change politians’ minds and get them to work together is a little too simplistic to believe.
What turns out to be a singular opportunity turns into a nightmare so solidly written that you can’t see a way out. Be sure the facts are what they are, because there is deception just around the corner. Great future set read of a possibility among many.
Easy to read, doesn’t end story -need rest of trilogy.
Page turner, left me wishing for a last minute cure for the kid!
Very interesting. Had an unexpected ending leading to the 2nd book – very creative and last minute. Interesting how the relationships between mother and child developed in the book.
Novel take on one of the oldest themes in SciFI.
I found this book very interesting. I enjoyed the fast pace of the book and the growing danger as it progressed. It is a great read and a great start for a series.
Lots of buildup in the book. Just enough to think ‘well, i’m pretty sure THIS is going to happen’, but just enough room to entertain the possibility that maybe something else will happen instead. Makes me wonder what the next book will bring.
Very interesting and different concept or an alien invasion. Makes you want to read the series!
The concept was original but overall the book was disappointing. Perhaps the intended audience was juvenile readers.
a nice slow burner with a twist I didn’t expect at the end
Well written and enjoyable
Great book easy read. Just finished book#2 can’t wait for #3 in November
It was interesting. I had a hard time putting it down, but I was disappointed at the end because you had to buy another book to find out what happened. It was a good book.
The age of the protagonist (13) automatically aims this at the younger crowd, which probably excuses some of the predictability of the plot. Powerful adults being swayed by the words of the protagonist seems unlikely, even in science fiction! Still, it was an entertaining page-turner.
Wonderful story of first contact with extraterrestrial life. The main characters, being teenagers, are predictably inconsistent yet manage to stand up well to the adults trying to tell them they’re wrong. My only regret is that this story ends too much on a cliff-hanger, as I like stories to by able to stand more on their own.
