It’s been seven years. Seven long years since that cold and cruel Vampire King, Lucius, broke her heart. One of the best books ever. I couldn’t put it down
Honestly this is not an easy series to start. You have to make your way through and sometimes you’ll want to pull your hair out. You don’t realize that awful of that is necessary until you’ve stumble onto ther whole of it and you’re like oh ok by this time you’re sucked in and left with you’re mouth open and thankful you made the choice to continue on
LOVED this book! Vivid and in-depth characters. I was still thinking about them long after I finished the book.
I enjoyed this book, although a little difficult for a man to relate as to the heroine’s obsession with the male lead. Interesting with lots of mystery and action to keep one wondering about what’s going on.
enjoyed the book, but I hate cliff hangers.
I resent having to buy several more books to get to the end of the story
Loved this book couldn’t put it down so went online and purchased the next 4 in the series and have just stared Book 6, lucky we are in Lockdown as up half the night reading
I want to keep reading, excellent book, excellent characters.
I got this book for free but it’s so good I bought all the rest of the series and now I’m gonna have to see what else the author wrote
I am really enjoying this series. I started with this one and quickly got the next three. The characters are unique and the story moves at a good pace. The love story is epic.
Badass heroine! Sexy alpha male! Intriguing world! I’m obsessed with this series!!
I struggled through this book. I hope the second book gets us more Lucian & Amelia. I loved the parts where they sparred back and forth, but at times it dragged for me. I hope that it was just setting the stage. I don’t know.

Amelia Draven is a mortal daughter of a half vampire and her King of the Supernatural world husband Dominic Draven. She is a princess of the supernatural world but it is a world in which she wishes to escape from because the man she once believed to be her destined one, Lucius, the Vampire King, cruelly and publicly humiliated and rejected her. She rebuilds her life in London working in the British Museum ancient Egyptian antiquities preservation. When her father brings her a mysterious box to examine, it sets off a series of events that bring Lucius and her in contact once again. With these series of events bring other evil forces after Amelia and Lucius usues all his means to protect her.
I liked Amelia and Lucius story because there was a lot of excitement and drama in the story and Amelia was very resourceful and smart. She was a strong character despite everything she experienced. I didn’t like Lucius at first because he was, in my opinion, a black hearted man with no redeeming qualities. I did not like the fact that the story continues in another book and he never fully explained to Amelia why he acted like an ass. That is why I could only give it 4 stars. But on the whole, it was a very exciting read.
You need to read all of the afterlife series in regards to Dom, Keria and Luscious to really understand this world. If you try to come in now at transfusion, the book will not be as fulfilling for you as a reader. The entire series is 5 star material, and engrossing!
The main character wasn’t someone you wanted to learn more about. Also, the story didn’t grab you and make you want to know how the story was going to develop.
I wanted to like this book but I didn’t… it was hard to keep interested because it was overly descriptive of everything! It has a great story line but moves slow and just when your getting somewhere it’s a cliff hanger …just don’t
I liked everything about this series except how the writer filled page after page describing a room or how something looked. Could have accomplished the descriptions with far less, and all it did was make the book longer. Not necessary.
I really waited and wanted this book to get good and sadly it let me down. Sadly sparks but no fire. I can’t invest in a series when the first book is lacking. Might be great for some but for me a NO
This book surprised me. It is fun, and dark all at once. Not my usual read. But, at the end, I had to know what happened. There are more books in this series, and I have had to buy them all! I guess that says everything!
Loved the book enjoyed the characters interesting read
I enjoyed the book but by the end I realized that the entire book was spent building the relationship between Lucias and Amelia in preparation for the next book.
