Would have enjoyed having these stories extended out into three novels!
You become a part of these pioneers lives as they travel to Oregon searching a new life and land. The story brings alive our American history and the hardships new settlers faced. The story also touched on the abuse and discrimination that faced the American Indian. Good reminder of how far our country has come.
My spirit was right with the characters as I am sure in a past life I traveled West on a wagon train. Wil watch for more from this author.
Excellent book loved loved loved the extra love the characters loved the whole book it was really good II give it five stars because it is a wonderful book
Keep me wanting to read to the end
Great read! Wonderful way to learn pioneer history and feel involved with all the characters in the book.
the first three books of this series included in the box collection are very well written. The stories and the characters were so enjoyable.
I enjoyed reading this box series. It is about a family that joins a wagon train to Oregon. I enjoyed how the author explained at the end of the book what was fiction and what were actual historical facts. And I enjoyed the sweet romances of course.
Really enjoyed this page-turner with constant happenings that were realistic. Found a new author I love, having read the first 3 books of the series of Trails of the Heart!
Review is on Amazon.
Great book. Loved it!!!
Liked reading about how they survived the wagon train trails.
Great sense of life in the northwest, Montana area at this time in history. I could not wait to get my hands on the book, hard to put it down. Loved the complete series.
Reading this was great. Love good stries in the long run.
This is a wonderful historical romance set in the times of the Oregon Trails to the West. In this series we follow the Thompson family. Eva, Johanna, and Rebecca Thompson and their family in their travels to the West. None of the girls want to leave their hometown of Virgil and travel west to Oregon. When their father makes the decision for the family they must learn to deal with it. Along the trail each of the girls falls in love with fellow wagon train traveler’s. Eva Thompson comes together with her hometown friend David Clarke. Johanna meets and falls in love with Rick Hughes who is left to raise his nieces after his sisters passing. The last to find love was Rebecca(Becky) Thompson and wagon train leader Scott Jones. Each story will draw you in and keep you wanting to find out more.
I really enjoyed the 3 stories all in one book about 3 sisters. Can’t wait for more of Rachel’s books!
Because it used diaries, I felt the story line was more realistic. I liked that.
Didn’t bother to finish it.
