Grace Webster was to wed in the fall. After all, it was the practical thing to do. So why was she seated in a wagon pretending to be the wife of a man who looked suspiciously like her reckless sister, Prudence, playing dress-up? She hardly had a choice. As headstrong as Prue was, she knew the girl would go in search of their father and eldest sibling, with or without her. And there were safety in … in numbers. Portraying a married couple merely made things less complicated. The moment Grace believes the plan might actually work, a blood-curling war cry quickly shatters those thoughts.Leyati Blackstone preferred solitude, never quite fitting in with his tribe or the white man’s world, yet somehow balanced a thin line between both. Finding a white woman on the brink of death changes everything.

An mystical tale.
Setting out to find their sister Pru and Grace are soon engaged in a dangerous and deadly event. Both of the girls will face challenges but this tale is about Grace’s. A mystical tale this book is full of hidden messages and very well-written. It was so powerful in parts it was hard to put down. I loved the tale of the healing waters. Revenge, survivor guilt, acceptance, and love are all parts of this tale I highly recommend this beautiful piece of art. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Wonderful series as we follow three sisters traveling west in search of their father. Violet, Grace and Prudence all travel through dangerous territory and find their true loves in the most unexpected way. Loved each story and the characters were all different and interesting from the strong willed Violet to the Grace one that sees visions and last but not least the sassy Prudence. Great read.
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.

The Lassen Trail, California 1851
An adventure from the beginning as Grace Webster and her sister were portraying a young married couple. What? Oh yes,the thought was to join the wagontrain and go find their sister Violet. Grace kept dreaming on a lone Indian warrior which would end in his death. What could it mean? Her dreams usually came true, such was her gift or curse, but not always.
Would they make it to their destination or be attacked or make it to the journey’s end?
A great story that kept me turning the pages.. Cannot wait for the next!
The storyline was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were so well created that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book!
Book two in the Gold Dust Brides series, the first book I have read in this series. This is the first book by this Author that I have read. I will be reading the other books in this series. This is Grace Webster and Leyati Blackstone’s story. Grace and her sister Prudence pretend to be husband and wife to get away from a nasty man that Grace has been sold to. The wagon train they are with gets attacked and the sisters get separated. Leyati finds Grace by accident. They will have a lot to go through to get to safety and to Grace’s older sister Violet. I was not putting this book down until I finished reading it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
